This is a good chain-type Mexican restaurant. I have only been here twice and each time I get the chicken and steak Fajitas, which are really good! You can tell that the veggies and meat they use are very fresh! And I don't know what it is, but the soft tortillas they bring with the fajitas are sooo much better than your typical tortillas. They're a little thicker, softer, and maybe even a little sweet. I also really like their tortilla chips, they are paper thin but could be a little less greasy. Chuy's is the place to be for Happy Hour! They have a full nacho bar with chips, cheese, beef, beans, and salsa. They have great drink deals and our waitress was amazing. We were definitely that annoying group who was unorganized with their orders and seating and she had a great attitude the entire time. I was honestly pretty surprised by how good my food was. My family and I went around 8:15 after an IKEA trip, and we needed something that was close before we headed home. We stopped here and didn't have a wait despite it being relatively busy, and it didn't take long for the food to come out either. I thought the salsa that they served when you sit down was really fresh tasting, and the spice was nice! I ordered the enchilada and chalupa, and the lime sauce on the enchilada was a nice change of pace. We visited Chuy's for lunch this afternoon. It was an awesome experience overall. We were seated quickly and greeted immediately. Our server was Joe. He was a ROCK Star. We initially thought this place was a Chevy's Tex-Mex at first and didn't realize otherwise until we were seated and looking at the menu. This place is just as good, if not better than Chevy's! The food is wonderful and the drinks are strong! Servers and bartenders are awesome and attentive. THE BEST chips ever!!! They also have a free nacho bar that is another plus! I have always liked Chuy's restaurant and atmosphere. Tonight was a good experience for the most part. Went for dinner at 7 on a Sunday. Waited fives minutes for a bar high top. Had a great server and service. Only thing that I dinged them for was, my bf and I wanted to order a piña colada while we enjoyed ya know, tex-mex food! Well we ordered from our server and she came back to inform us "we are out of coconut". Really? A Mexican restaurant os out of the main ingredient for a PINA colada which Is on the menu?? We weren't angry, but I did ask if we could have the two beers we were going to order instead comped. The server said she would definitely ask her manager. She came back with the beers and smiled and all was fine. However when we got the bill nothing was taken off or anything. Now I didn't expect a grand discount or anything, but Maybe something for the fact we didn't get what we wanted coming to a Mexican style restaurant. I asked our server and she said "oh no my manager didn't come speak with you"? Nope, he never did which sucks for her because I'm sure she felt bad. Anyways, he finally came and was like " so I see you wanted to discuss some issues with your bill"? Uh yeah. He proceeded to tell us " yeah we just can't even keep the coconut in stock we always run out". Food was good, service was terrible. The place was busy, but not packed. Our server didn't notice us or forgot about us. After being seated no server came to take our order. After about 5 minutes we flagged one down who took our drink, then food orders. The non-alcoholic drinks came quickly but the alcoholic drinks didn't come. A fantastic Tex-Mex restaurant that offers a great atmosphere, great customer service, and best of all, great food! My husband, my three boys (4, 3, and 1 month old), and I decided to try this place out. As soon as we got here, we got seated right away. He recommended two great drinks for my husband; the rockin' rita & a frozen margarita twist, flavors strawberry & lime. I decided to go with a strawberry mojito which was excellent. My four and three year old had a soda. The chips and salsa were amazing! They were good and our waiter was on top of refilling our basket before we can even ask for more, same goes for water. For our entree, we ordered a cheeseburger & fries , cheese quesadilla & fries from the kids menu for the boys, and my husband and I shared a fajita combo for two. The tortillas are freshly made, the chicken and steak were marinated for 24 hours (stated in their menu), which brought a mouthful of flavors, it was delicious ! The fajita combo came with chicken, steak, and the mixed onions & peppers, along with the tortillas, guac, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I personally thought that the meat portions for a plate for two was not enough, they should consider adding a bit more meat of each. I would also suggest that they start serving water when they bring the chips & salsa (most restaurants I've been to offer that & I personally like that gesture). After finishing our entrees, we had dessert. We ordered the flan for ourselves and the kids got FREE dessert! An orange sherbet push-up popsicle. We were all happy and satisfied with our service. My husband and I LOVE Chuys and have never had any issues before. BUT, the last time we went, the hostess was who knows where, took forever for our server to take our drink order and bring chips. When my husbands food came out, half of it was wrong and we had to ask for napkins. But the thing that got me was when I had the cash tip on the bill (after it was paid and change was brought back) he asked if the tip was ready. We had never been to Chuy's but had heard good things about it from friends. So we were excited to give it a try. We were seated quickly, but the dining area that they put us in was extremely loud. They did move us upon our request to the bar area. Our server was preoccupied the entire time. She didn't really greet us and she talked so fast you could barely understand her. She was clearly in a hurry to go back and talk to her friends. We ordered drinks. I got what I thought was a peach sangria. It came out as a small margarita. Ok, so I didn't say anything because our sever didn't really care anyway. We ordered our meal. Server came back and told me they were out of the what I had ordered. Ok so I picked something else. Then she came back a few minutes later to tell me that they were in fact going to make my original order. But the thing was that she was so rude. So short. The service was HORRIBLE. My boyfriend asked for the check and to cancel the food. So the manager did come over and offer to make it right. We declined. When we got the bill we were shocked that my drink was $13.75. Outrageous. I mean this isn't Jeff Ruby's. Obviously. We will never return here. What a huge let down. Get some training for your people. read more

We really like this restaurant! The food is good and comes hot! Friendly staff. Love the prayers on the back of the silverware paper containers! Love freedom of religion and freedom of speech in America! God bless this company and their faith! My grandma died and the Drs brought her back to life. She was mad we didn't leave her in heaven! She saw heaven and her 23 yr old daughter that died from polio in the 1950s at Gates of heaven..no vaccine yet for polio then. Anyways, the afterlife/ heaven is True! She described it as colors much brighter beautiful etc. God sent her back I believe to tell others it's real! Ppl that resist this seem to be miserable..like one of the visitors that had neg comments about the prayers on the silverware paper. Really? I would not eat here again unless forced to against my will. We arrived and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, which was to be expected as we arrived at lunchtime. We were seated and received drinks, chips, and salsa. Then the issues began to arise. We ordered our food and over an hour later the food arrived cold, and incorrect. After speaking to a manager, we got our food corrected, and the manager covered the bill. Overall, the food was okay. Taste was there, would be interesting to taste if it was warm. Management was exceptional. Manager made no excuses and corrected everything. After this experience I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more
