I would like to start out by saying, so there is no confusion or rumors, that I work here. I have worked at Ciao Baby for about 4 months now and I must say that it is delicious! I am from the north and the pizza down here is not as good as up there, but ciao baby hits the spot. Everything is fresh and authentic. I can personally say that the owners really care, and put their heart and soul into the product. For those reviews that said there was not enough cheese on the pizzas, let me just say, that is the neopolitan style. If you are a cheese fanatic then ask for extra cheese on your pizza it is just a dollar more! I am writing this review to say that even though I do work there, I believe in the product. I wouldn't go next door and eat at Taco Bell, because it's not actual food. Come eat at Ciao Baby! It's the real deal! read more

C'mon, fresh Neapolitan style pizza!? It doesn't get any better. And Ciao Baby is doing it the right way. I called before coming to ask if they had outdoor seating, they told me on the phone they did have a little area out front where we could come and sit with our dog. The owner, Adrian, who my wife and I got to know through the course of our dinner, personally came out and set up our tables and chairs for us. You can tell this guy LOVES what he does. He was personable and sincere and he's definitely in the right business. This ain't papa johns or Pizza Hut so if your taste buds are uncultured and you only like pizza with tons of Grease and cheap ingredients this may not be the place for you. But if you are looking for delicious and authentic wood fired pizza, this is the place for you. The prosciutto was excellent, my wife had the Bianca which was also superb. We sat on the patio with our own bottle of wine (just $8 for corking fee) and had a delicious house salad and 2 pizzas for about 40 bucks. It's so reasonably priced and the quality is outstanding. We have visited Caio Baby several times now and each time we leave wanting to come back soon! There's a great selection of pizzas & pastas for every taste, made with authentic Italian sauces & cheeses made fresh daily! The owners & staff are very friendly and always looking to please & make sure your dining experience is excellent. We have eaten at every Italian restaurant & pizzeria in Shelby County in the last 30 years and can honestly say that you can't find better pizzas & pastas for the price anywhere! A word about a bad review posted here... That person ordered water & then was stealing soft drinks from the soda dispenser(happens more than you think) for herself and whole family! She was setting a great example in front of her family right? When very politely asked to pay for the soft drinks or refrain from taking them, she became offended! Like she was entitled to free stuff or something! Maybe they thought the owners got free soft drinks from suppliers... just ridiculous! Now you know. 5 stars for food. 1 for service. We've been frequenting here lately. Pasta and pizza are great and you can't beat the specials. However, the cashier tonight was so rude I feel compelled to say something. She was not helpful in explaining the specials upon ordering, delivered our food by literately throwing the plate down in front of us. Even my 9 year old son noticed. No smile, no thank you - nada. My mother in-law asked for dried oregano and she looked really put out by the request. We will likely return because the food is great and the owner makes me smile but they need to do something about the millennial attitude behind the counter. read more

This place is very loud, particularly the random-genre music. Odd ordering process. The pizza makers and cashier seemed to be in a bit of a tiff with each other, which came across unprofessional. Went for lunch. Had the $5.99 lunch special which is a 5" pizza and a small salad The food is good. I had heard that the food was on the pricey side but I don't mind paying for quality so I'm okay with the price. Ingredients are fresh and yummy. No CeeCees pizza here. The flavor of the crust and oils were very good. The main problem with the place that I could tell was the atmosphere. Strip mall location and nothing special to come back. Disorganized and cold feeling which really was a shame since the product was good. I will go back but they really need something to warm the place up. read more

Yet another great meal at Ciao Baby!! I keep asking for gluten-free pasta and Adrian offered to go get some for me. Being gluten-free, I always order the spinach salad which is AWESOME, but this is the only place I can eat pizza crust without any problem. Their sauces are made in-house as is their mozzarella. Hidden gem of Collierville tucked away in poplar market plaza. Wonderfully hard working staff creates incredible pizza, pastas, sandwiches, salads, calzones and dessert with love! If you like tradition and quality and are not looking for the cheapest pizza in town, do yourself a favor and go to Ciao Baby. If, like a previous reviewer, you are looking for cheap pizza and lot's of it, don't bother dining here. Instead, hit the all-you-can eat buffet just down the road at Cici's or order delivery from Domino's. And one significant correction to that earlier review - it is a wood-fired oven, not coal fired. I do love a good slice of coal-fired pizza, but that wouldn't be true Napolitano-style pie. High-quality ingredients, simple time-honored recipes, and an owner with a passion for the food he is making. Try the Bianca pizza. You won't regret it. Save room for a cannoli and a cappuccino. Words are simply not sufficient. In terms of commitment to quality and accuracy of the food they produce, this place reminds me of Deli Mexicana with and owner that is a bit more laid back than Pepe. Definitely the best (and perhaps only) Neapolitan style pizza in Memphis if not the best pizza in Memphis period. Please go here and go often. I'm so glad I found this place! True Italian pizza - just like what I had in Naples, Italy! Fresh ingredients, including house made mozzarella. And the fried ravioli was AMAZING - none of that frozen stuff here - fresh, house made everything. I'm from midtown, and I'd drive out here just for the ravioli. Then add the pizza ... I agree with the others here! If you like tortured, "Americanized" pizza like Pappa John's/Dominoes/Pizza Hut/etc., then you won't like it here. I love Ciao Baby's food. The things I love there are not healthy but they are delicious. Garlic knots unlike anything I've ever had I'm pretty sure they deep fry the pizza dough but I can't confirm that...they are unreal. I also love the meatballs. As far as the pizza goes it's top notch you can get just about anything you want exactly they way you want it. It can get a little pricy when you go it's on tipping BUT Adrian is using the highest quality ingredients so you pay for what you get. The atmosphere could be a bit better but it doesn't make the food any less quality. read more

The boss seems to be mean to his employees I think that for the amount you pay for the personal pizza there's not a whole lot on them I can do much better by far going to the pasta kitchen or Marcos so why bother with this place. I tried Ciao Baby for the first time today before looking at it on Yelp as well - I have to say, if you want cheap, chain pizza with overloaded toppings to hide the awful ingredients, this is not the place for you. I got the Margherita with added spinach - it was phenomenal! They could have added a slight bit more mozzarella, but the overall flavor was great and it was not over or undercooked in the least bit. They have a lunch special now as well which is a 5" (more like 8") pizza and salad for those of you complaining about pizza size. Looked high and low for an authentic Neapolitan pizza after living in Naples, Italy for over 4 years, Ciao Baby is the best I have found by far. Had a margarita pizza with arugala on top and it was delicious however they did not realize the arugala is cooked and not put on after. The only reason I didn't give Ciao Baby 5 stars is that they are 25% over priced and I am afraid that will limit the repeat business they will need to survive for the long haul but I sure hope not...I'll be back for sure ! read more
