Stopped in here at the new Chaffee Rd location to try it out. Ordered a sampler type pizza that had 8 different flavor slices so we could really get a feel of the place. Also ordered a side salad, personally I'd skip ordering that again it wasn't very special (no cheese, no croutons, rough chopped onions). I think thinly slicing the red onions ring style would have made the salad a lot more enjoyable. The pizza was fun to try all of the different flavors. I ordered online and was able to select the pickup time. I ended up needing to change the time so I called and it was easy to have them change that. The lady was super nice and helpful who I talked to. Inside was a bit chaotic, I'd say it's more of a grab n go type of establishment but there was some tables for sitting if you'd want to in a room off to the side. No music was playing or anything but there was some decor. There are 2 entrances/exits. I enjoyed the window painting. We thought the pizza was very good. This a review based on a lunchtime take out order. I visited for the first time a couple of days ago and got the meats slice and the fried mozzarella. The pizza slice was pretty good - not horrible but not spectacular either. I would definitely come back one day for a freshly made whole pizza! I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella - the cheese tasted pretty fresh, the breading was good, and the marinara sauce tasted as if it was made in-house. It's a dish that probably would've been better eaten inside, because the heat and condensation from the container sorta softened the breading by the time I made it home. As some other reviews mentioned, the ambiance inside is a little dull. The soda machine was broken, so I'm not sure if drinks are available, but the young guys that were working were pretty friendly. Pizza is good but quality seems to be slowly deeclining...this place is falling apart, their soda machine has been broken for a long time, their floors are dirty despite being the morning and not being busy, their bench has grease stains just needs a wipe down. The eating spot on the window has part of it that is rotting away looks like water damage, the back room is being treated like storage. Nobody is sweeping or mopping, there is a dead cockroach and other misc garbage on the floor. They have a fridge that also seems to be broken, the little cooler they are now keeping drinks is barely cold enough to cool drinks and not well. This place will eventually close unfortunately and soon quality will be bad enough I won't even want to go. read more

So, I have been a loyal customer of the previous establishment in this location for a while. I found Slice when I tried to place an order & the number to the previous business was disconnected. Blessing in disguise. I've order the meat lovers a couple of times now & it is just TASTY & not greasy. You can taste the quality in the meat they use. The sauce isn't too much & compliments the rest of the ingredients. For reference, I love a thin crust & theirs is cooked to perfection. Yes, I personally always order the large because it taste that good & warms up well (hint: put in a skillet to crisp up the crust). BUT, it is also good cold. I will eat their pizza either way. If you are ordering from here, be conscience of the sizes. This isn't like order from those other chain places. When you get a large, that is exactly what you are getting. read more

I like the idea of the Big Box Sampler but the wings really made me rethink my decision of spending $30 on this. I've never had wings with little to no meat on them and being it was one of 2 proteins in the box, it just wasn't worth the price. Food quality and taste is like any other pizza spot. I really like this pizza New York style is always great. Some of the sandwiches are real good. I love the spaghetti sandwich when it's done correctly. When I tell you beyond disappointed. The pictures look good on social media but let me tell you the taste is not there. Everything is BLAND. Started with Garlic knots which were the best thing. The marinara sauce taste like it's straight out of a can just straight tomato sauce no Italian seasoning no salt etc. Fettuccine Alfredo was the biggest disappointment ever. It had absolutely no flavor. It tasted like they just mixed milk and pasta. The most bland dish I've ever had. Tried to add my own salt and pepper but no helping this. Now the pizza, the vodka slice was decent but again no salt just tastes like they take sauce from a can and throw it on the pizza. The white pizza had no flavor. It was like it was just ricotta only. Staff were friendly. They recommended the carbonara, which was really tasty. The pancetta was perfect. It also came with salad and bread. We have been traveling for 10 days so I have had a few house salads recently. Most have been iceberg lettuce with croutons and, if they really assert themselves, some finely shredded cheese. This salad was a delightful surprise! Leaf lettuce, red onion, chopped tomatoes and black olives. The menu had a lot to offer but we are only in town for a day. Give them a try! read more

Ordered several pizzas for a corporate lunch. Kindle, the person in charge of catering, met me and helped me with my order. Asked questions like how many people, what type of people (male/female ratio?/ages (younger to older?) dietary needs, etc. She made great suggestions on what types of pizzas to order as well as how they should be cut (square cut works easier for larger parties) She guaranteed delivery on time and it arrived on time, hot, with plenty of plates & utensils. We went on Friday evening to try something new. Take out. Glad we did. Great people. Old style building. Also has tables to dine in. The restaurant itself looks bland but pizza is FRESH. A lot of shoppers from Uber eats and grub hub go there. We ordered pizza slices, the guy taking orders was super friendly giving us updates. Although our pizza was re heated he waiting till cheese was hot and melty. Delicious. The one taking payments on the right side was warm and welcoming. We will return. read more

Well we apparently live under a rock because when we went to order from Little Italy we found out it was closed. Since we had pizza on our minds we went ahead and ordered from this new owner/business. We ordered online and it was ready when promised. And wow what a nice surprise! It's hard to replace a legendary pizza joint, but you gotta know what you're getting into. Menu is the same, but don't expect that classic NY pie you were used to. My order looked underdone but wasn't when I bit in, just not the consistency I was looking for. Maybe they're still experimenting with the dough but they should have worked out those kinks before they opened. Especially considering the shoes they're trying to fill. Go to Aldo's or High Point instead. Update: tried Slices again last night, and am happy to say they've worked out their kinks. We ordered online for delivery, and the chicken was bone dry. They forgot one of our salads, food honestly was not great. The vodka pasta is completely different from how it used to be, to me it just tasted like plain spaghetti sauce and it was not good at all. I was the world's biggest Little Italy fan, and while I was super sad to hear they were leaving midtown right after we had moved closer, I was glad to hear that Slice was going to use the same recipes and suppliers. The first time we tried them, we were excited. However, our large pepperoni pizza came...cold, and not from just sitting out, but like the pizza had been made as a cheese pie, sat aside, then with toppings placed on top of it and run back into the oven just for warming. The pepperonis were not cooked through, still having solid fat, and they were not adhered to the pie at all (would literally fall off if you tipped a slice). We figured, no problem, growing pains, we love local businesses and we want to try them again. We have done so, and each time it has been similar--undercooked food, or obvious shortcuts such as these. Our last (probably very last) attempt was this past week. We got a pepperoni pie again, and once again, it was the same exact issue, though slightly less bad (still looked as if they'd been sat on top of a cheese pie, but were more cooked through). We got cheesesticks that had plenty of yummy cheese on top and I was so eager to dive in, but when I bit into it, I found a yeasty, underdone dough, congealed cheese that was still not even melted fully together inside, and an overpowering clump of parsley. I took one bite and the rest of the box went uneaten by the 4 people in the household. I suspect that they are either not leaving the food in the oven long enough or they are cooking at a lower temp. I'd like to say we will give them another chance, but if we do, it will be a long while to give them time to adjust for these issues. They are not cheap, and we were super sad to have to waste so much expensive food (with good quality ingredients to be sure). I think they are trying, but the quality is not there yet.
