I immediately informed her that her attitude was not befitting of a retail employee whose job it is to ASSIST customers. After that she changed her tune a bit and then tried to help, still giving me an attitude in the process. I told her that I was no longer interested in her assistance and that's when she said, "fine, find it yourself then" and walked away. After finding it myself, I found her at the cash register, ready to check me out. She attempted to smooth things over by offering me a half-ass apology and saying that she was just "stressed" but the damage was already done. When she saw that I wasn't interested in her apology, she huffed and puffed again while completing the transaction; making the situation much worse than it needed to be. I certainly understand the shortage of staff members and perhaps a desperate need for employees with customer service skills, but Amanda, should not be working in any customer-facing roles with that kind of attitude.
