Visited Ojai Olive Oil as part of our day trip from LA and really enjoyed the experience. Compared…read moreto another olive oil tasting we did in Paso Robles, this one felt a bit more fast-casual and relaxed--which honestly wasn't a bad thing at all. It gives you the freedom to taste everything at your own pace. You order the tasting first, then they give you a tray with delicious sourdough bread from a local bakery. The staff explained that the balsamic vinegars are imported, while all of their olive oils are produced in-house, except for the truffle oil since the local soil isn't suitable for growing truffles. After that, you head over to the tasting section where you can grab samplers of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars before finding a seat outside under the olive trees. The space itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were around 10 olive oils and 10 balsamic vinegars to try. My favorites were the TH (Tuscan Herbs) olive oil and the traditional balsamic. The flavored balsamics were interesting and fun to taste, though I still personally preferred the classic options. Overall, such a fun and worthwhile stop if you're in the Ojai area. Paid $20 for two people. Also, bonus points because they happily give extra sourdough bread if you need more :)

We wanted a fun activity and saw an Instagram video of the experience. Overall, the tasting was super fun! Got to mix/match diff oils and vinegars and play around with the options. Ended up buying two of our favorites. One thing to note - They used to have cute wood boards with clear markings of the different types of offerings so that you could keep track more easily and it sounds like from the attendant they are bringing those back again (by popular demand). It certainly would be more aesthetically pleasing than a black plastic cafeteria tray. The bread served on our particular day was also a bit too hard so the inside pieces would crumble a lot. We were able to ask for another piece so that we could use the sturdier outside areas and they were gracious with that. However, for $20 really can't complain! With a few minor updates to the board/bread, they could prob sell this experience for far more $ and get more visitors! :)

This store has been a transport vehicle into a better way to cook, prepare dishes and make sugarless mock-tails. The other five star reviews really say it all - and I am totally on board. Mary has taught me so much about olive oil. She let me and my wife taste so many too. The education on the health benefits and potency and seasons... I now own and use about 15 bottles of both oils and vinegars. My faves: Balsamics for mocktails- guava, gravenstein apple, watermelon Balsamics for salad - lemon, oregano, and champangne Oils - Madigascar black pepper, bahklavout peppers oil (spicy) many different varieties of cooking and fresh usage robust to medium. These oils make every single dish taste better. Antica and Mary (the owner) are both gems. Seriously drop in, get educated and enjoy the next phase of you gourmet journey. Upgrade your cooking scene and spend some time, energy and money at Antica. Ambiance: Obviously a beautiful and serene creative environment.

On staff was Alexis, who was great! She was warm, welcoming, had great energy and was extremely knowledgeable of the products. She recommended various flavor combinations/ tastings. She gave suggestions on how to incorporate them into every day foods, which I've done and they are delicious! A little bit goes a long way. I'll definitely be back to purchase larger bottles.

You will find a great variety of artisanal oils here. They also offer a tasty selection of balsamic vinegar. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable on the products offered. They have great suggestions and are always willing to provide sample tasting. They don't have bread with the samples ( like similar Northern California artisanal shops provide). So just bring your own baguette if you can't taste oil and vinegar solo. I bought a set of oil and balsamic vinegar to give as a birthday gift. . They occasionally sell pita chips and hummus both of which are fabulous and locally sourced. I highly recommend you make this one of your stops when you are in Redlands!!

She patiently explained every flavor, pairing, and use without ever making us feel rushed. You can really feel the passion behind the products. Honestly, this place is therapy.
