What a friggin gem this place turned out to be. Have been here on 2 separate occasions, and both times they killed it. First time, I got the chicken formaggio..amazing. Second time I ordered the chicken Marsala. Definitely one of the better chicken Marsala I've had in this town. Crystal is a good friend of mine, and I wasn't even aware she worked here and she took care of my friends and I each time. The tiramisu was awesome as well. We got seated right away. Live music. Food was absolutely amazing. Took a little while but was worth the wait. They did forget our garlic knots with the dinner as well. We were in the door by 4:05, so right at opening. We were seated and got our bread. 20 min go by and nobody asked what we wanted to drink. After we finally placed our drink order, another 10 min before those came. Then i tell her we are ready to order, she tells us to hold on, and walks away. Finally several minutes later and she takes our order. Another 20-25 min and we finally got our food (minus the garlic knots). We had to ask a young girl who was not a waitress to bring them. Another girl brought a togo tray for my roommate (he doesnt know how to order good food!) he got the build your own with fettuccine and Alfredo. It was so boring looking. I ordered the pasta Milano which was incredible. I will be going back very soon (hopefully with better service and someone that knows how to order a meal). read more

Food was OK. Nothing spectacular, just what i'd expect for a subpar Italian restaurant. Saw the way the manager spoke to employees-- yikes! Desert was also not that great. Live music was a plus. Atmosphere is good too. I'm a foodie. I eat out a lot. I've had many different Italian restaurants and foods, but this just isn't one of my favorites. Rating: 4/10 Would I go back? I hate to say this but the food is amazing. I have been there twice and both times the food is five stars. Now when it comes to service maybe being nice if I say three stars Six of us went. It took twenty minutes to get our drinks. We ask six times for the bread we love her line were making more but we see other tables getting the bread and we at ourvtsble before them. What we liked the most was the food dishes. We got lasagna and a huge Tuscany salad. Of course garlic knots are delicious but they were a bit chewy/tough. What we liked the least was our server. I think they're under too much pressure and service gets overlooked. Also, the cocktails were not above average. But I would recommend everyone to go. Where to begin. Let me just say it was a big disappointment. The ambiance is 1960 cafeteria style. Our waitress was lazy. She brought the dish for the mussel shells after we were halfway done with them. She brought the garlic knots halfway through dinner. Now to the most important part - the food. The rigatoni pasta was overcooked and tasteless. The vegetable risotto had large chunks of veggies instead of a finely chopped mixture. The chicken Parmesan was a generous portion but dry and tasteless. They don't have espresso on the menu. What more can I say, oh I know - I'm an Italian raised and lived in NYC by an Italian mother. I have dined here several times, and the food quality/taste has been quite good each time, with special accolades for the excellent texture and taste of the Tiramisu. Unfortunately, the interior design and popularity of this restaurant lends to a cacophony loud enough to challenge one's own table conversation, which is a bit dissuading for future visits. read more

We had the pork chop mushroom risotto and chicken formaggio here for our dinner tonight. We ordered in through the phone for pick up. This is probably the best risotto I've had in my life. Upon first glance at a Friday night this location was SUPER busy. Only a 20 minute wait with the restaurant packed. When we were seated we got to try the garlic knots, which were superb. We were served by 2 people throughout the night, one was sub par and the other girl was lovely. We ordered a cheese pizza, the antipasto salad, and the orecchiette Mac and cheese with pancetta. We are all Italian and coming from my family and I they absolutely killed these dishes! So yummy. The Mac and cheese was my favorite as the top was nice and baked but it was still creamy and somehow the pasta texture was still Al Dente. Loved eating here and we will be back to try more dishes. Everyone's food around us also looked amazing. read more

First visit to this restaurant this evening and very pleased to find gf options and a diverse menu selection. From being welcomed when we walked in the door, to being assisted by a great waitress, enjoying the best roasted brussels sprouts I've ever had at a restaurant (appetizer), and portions were very generous! We even enjoyed a local band that was very good...and on a Thursday evening! We will return, next time we'll try some of the wines and desserts. It's nice to discover new local restaurants that are well above average for a change. I've lived here 22 years, and unfortunately "mediocre"has all too often described the majority of the restaurant venues in the Quad Cities. But things are looking up! read more

OMG!!! This is awesome! THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The service is the best that I've experienced in a long, long time. The venue is quite small so large parties can expect a 15 to 20 minute wait. But, if you find yourself waiting outside, the owner has two conveniently placed patio heaters to keep you warm. I had the chicken parm, my daughter the baked pasta, her friend the Marcella Chicken & the husband, who had the Mediterranean pasta. The potions were huge. I took more half home. I did not realize that I have not posted a review since the name change. Ciao Bella is our favorite restaurant in the area. The whole staff is friendly and the food is fantastic! We like the wine selection and I believe a bottle is reasonably priced. The spumoni dessert is a must. It is where we take all of our visitors when they come to town. It does get pretty busy, especially if there is an event at the Findlay Center, but is worth the wait. read more

The food here is wonderful. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone! The pastas here are awesome, the pizza is wonderful and authentic, and the best part is almost anything can be substituted to be gluten free. Fast and attentive service, the only downside is the ambiance is a little cramped and chaotic when they're busy--that's the ONLY downside. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever! I just wouldn't expect this establishment to offer a calm, intimate setting--but that is not the end of the world! read more

The owner/manager clearly does not care about his customers. We were waiting for a table and after 45 minutes realized that they had crossed us off the list about 5 seatings previously. He acknowledged the mistake and we were seated but there was no attempt to correct his mistake. The food was good, although the pork chop was super dry. As we left my wife told the manager that when they make a mistake they should try to make up for it, he denied he made a mistake and became aggressive towards my wife, truly classless. We won't be back. We had wondered why the Grumpy Sicilian restaurants split up, I think I understand now. Terrible, terrible service. read more
