Taylor does an amazing job throughout every step of my haircut. Her consultation and communication before we started my haircut helped customize exactly what I wanted. She explained the products she used to style and finish out with a beautiful finished blowout. And went out he way to finish my style with a big barrel curing iron that gave my hair soft waves and I learned a new technique with the curling iron she used. I have received many positive compliments from friends and family. I'm so grateful she was able to squeeze me in the day I messaged her for a haircut spot. Avoid this salon. I brought in clear inspiration photos and gave them multiple opportunities to fix my hair, but I still left with a result that looked nothing like what I requested. The first photo is what I asked for. The second is what I actually left with. When I called to discuss it, I was told, "We're not the salon for you," instead of being offered a solution. I asked to speak with the owner, who immediately said he didn't care to see the photos and doesn't give refunds. He was rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in making the situation right. A salon's true character shows when something doesn't go as planned. Instead of standing behind their work, they dismissed me as a customer. I wasted my time, my money, and now have to pay another salon to correct their work. Hopefully this review saves someone else the time, money, and disappointment that I experienced. read more

Hi! Please don't come here to get your blonde brows dyed. I got them waxed and dyed and the wax was fine. I explicitly stated that I have blonde brows and very sensitive skin and I only need the dye for maximum 2 minutes. She said "it's a different kind of dye so we leave on for 5 minutes" and I said that's a really long time and I think we should do 3 minutes then. She agreed and then left and didn't come back and over processed the f out of my brows, giving me dark blocks on my face that's wayyy darker than my natural blonde hair on top leaving me looking crazy. And that was after I told her to take some of the dye off before I even left because I was unhappy. Please do not promise results that you cannot achieve and I will go somewhere else that can achieve the results that I need. Everyone else is nice it seems. That is my one caveat. read more

I went in and was asked if I wanted as much highlights as I have now and I replied yes. I also had pictures and she just disregarded them. I was there for about 4 hours and came out with very dark hair, with little or no highlights. Needless to say, the look on my face was priceless, but the cost with tip was $238! Not sure that is $$ according to the website! I thought she might try to work me in to fix it, but no I had to wait a week. I still didn't have enough highlights, so I went to another stylist and she said my hair was damaged and did the best she could. I will not return. read more

I see Ana and she is can work MAGIC with hair color! She has helped me when another hair stylist ruined my hair. This last time is when she turned me into a blonde goddess from my faded and grown out balayage (before and after pictures attached). I don't write many reviews, but today I feel compelled. I recently relocated and stopped into this salon to ask a few questions to see if this salon might work for me. I introduced myself to the receptionists and described that I typically come in for color every 3 weeks and used the Schwarzkopf line of color with the fast processing. One of the receptionists immediately commented that I wouldn't be coming in every 3 weeks there. I responded that I would or there would be stripe down my head, to which she said that if they'd see me every 3 weeks, my end color wouldn't be applied every time. Keep in mind this is the reception, not someone who should be telling me what I should and shouldn't do for color. The other receptionist then said they only used Redken products, which I found unusual. Most stylists buy they own products for color, regardless of what the salon displays for shampoo and styling options, and they are adept in several color lines as most ladies do not appreciate having to change color lines when they change stylists. Based on these responses, I said I would look further but if I returned who could I speak to about my color? The receptionists then told me they only book their newest stylists for new clients. When I expressed that due to past poor experiences, I always look for someone with at least 4 years of experience, I was told not to worry as their new stylists consult with their master stylist, a wholly unsatisfying response. No offer was made to check with the owner about an exception for any of this: frequency of services, product line, or experience of stylist. I give it 3 stars only because it seemed like a good salon, if you are fortunate enough to already be a customer and presumably don't want to participate that much in styling decisions. I was really hoping this salon would work for me; it's really disappointing they have such a fixed perspective on...well, everything. read more

If you're looking for an awesome hairstylist - Sofia is the best (and please tell her I sent you :-)! Awesome shampoo/head massage, and seriously the best haircuts and color - I just LOVE her! They stay really current on trends, offer a loyalty program, and even have ladies' nights for hands-on demos w/refreshments, and such! Super excited to get my hair cut and colored by Liz today! She has been working on my glamourous locks for almost a year now. I came into Ciao Bella initially because I had just received the worst haircut of my life at another salon the day before (and 3 months before my wedding). I came in a complete mess and after showing Tanner my goal picture, he said it was totally possible in spite of the butchered layers and brassy color job from the previous salon. After getting my hair my absolute dream color and blending it in seamlessly with my roots (on his day off!), a few days later he attached the most gorgeous extensions in the literal exact color of my newly colored hair. His sense of color absolutely blew me away. He was so genuine and down to earth, and actually took the time to listen to what I wanted and make sure anything he suggested was the result I was looking for. I am very disappointed in this salon and my experience. I have waited and debated on how to post this review, because there were some things I did like, but overall I had to base it on the entire service and experience. I came in after having my hair professionally lightened at a high end salon in Scottsdale, AZ. a month and half prior to this visit. At which time they took my hair from black to auburn and put multiple highlights in it, in preparation for going to add blonde highlights throughout in the very near future. At that time it was not possible, due to possible damaging of the hair. So, it was recommended I give my hair a rest. I treated my hair and once healthy, I thought I had found a reputable salon to put in the blond highlights as I had originally wanted. I prepared by downloading multiple pictures of similar styles, knowing nothing is going to be exact. I made my appointment for Balayage at 1:00. I had been in Cincinnati the evening prior and left early to make the appointment, upon my arrival I received a phone call letting me know my stylist was running 2 hours late. I was informed that if anything changes they would call me immediately, which they did. About 30 minutes later I received a call letting me know Cassie was available and could I be there in 15 mins? I headed right over. Now, I don't remember the original Sylist name or maybe this was Cassie all along. Cassie seemed very nice at first and very thorough during the consultation. Looking back I should have seen red flags. Yet, I dismissed it thinking she knew what she was talking about. I was wrong!!!!! Even when she came back later and said instead of Balayage pricing she was going to charge me for color repair, which was $75 hour. Now here is where I get furious..... She started my color at 2:10pm. This was after I told her exactly what I wanted, why, and showed her multiple pictures! She finished my hair at 5 pm. That's 3hours (3x75=225) At this point I looked in the mirror and and didn't know if I wanted to scream or cry. My hair was fried, orangey ash brown in color, and nothing like I had discussed with her. Especially since it was all one color!!! Thankfully, other stylist came over and calmed both of us down and said it would be fixed, because Cassie was refusing to fix it!!! Now, I had clients that needed picked up and waiting on me during this time. My husband who helps me from time to time kept them entertained and worked with them at a Starbucks, not knowing how long it would take. I ended up leaving that night after 9pm. I was billed with tip and shampoo set it $600. Afterwards I showed up to my clients in scrub clothes and had to explain I was getting my hair done.... yeah that went well. The next days that followed I hated my hair!!! The top and sides were almost completely black and then it had red patches like they missed spots in the bleach process. It was awful. I called and they said the second stylist who worked on me could fix it on such day at X time. I said great. Then they called and said she was full so Ashley was going to help by doing it for her instead. I said no problem. I arrived and she was extremely nice. I could tell she was extremely experienced right away. She worked quickly and knew exactly what needed to be done as well as what was wrong. I loved her!!! Was she anywhere else I would go to her... by the time my hair was bleached again it was another 5 hours of my time and now my hair was really damaged. * FYI- To management.... maybe you should let your staff know that when customers who are in the salon with issues and have been very nice up to that point it's very unprofessional and rude to to not apologize and roll your eyes at them. Not to mention make comments to other staff in front of them!! Upon check out. I had previously sent a email to the salon owner questioning the pricing of the first night. They gave a $150 credit. ( Yet as of this post this STILL HAS NOT BEEN DONE!!!) Yet, this time they wanted to charge me another $150 to fix their mistake!!!! I refused. The lady behind the counter asked what would make you happy. I was so caught of guard. I just sat there another 5 hours. Spent more money in your salon and you have the audacity to think you are going to charge me again and ask me. Really they should be giving me all my money back and I should send them a bill for my time ($80X13=$1040) + damage to my hair for two extra bleachings that were unnecessary. In conclusion there are some very nice staff and some I think could use some extra training.u read more

I've been going to this salon for a couple of years and have never had one bad experience with them! I take both my girls (ages 10 and 5) to see Angela so they can experience the pampering that every woman deserves! Every one there is super friendly and they all make you feel welcome! I have always had issues with a certain cut with my hair type (super weird hair of mine) but Angela is able to not only cut my hair this way, but make it look amazing every time. She is honest with you and will let you know if you cannot pull off a certain style (let's be honest....we all need someone that can tell us we would look fat with a pixie cut or washed out with dyed black hair). Buyer beware... I just left the salon disappointed and frustrated. My daughter and I both had our first hair appointments today. My daughter needed the works while I only needed a hair cut. I am speaking regarding my experience because my daughter is still at the salon. Before our appointments, I read the reviews and was hopeful. I brought in a picture of someone with wavy hair, very close to what I had currently. I explained to the stylist that I had been scrunching the curls, due to the weight of my thick hair. I wanted my hair to look more polished like the picture and to be styled with a round brush. The beautician, I think she said her name was Angie, twisted my hair as she thinned and cut my thick waves. After cutting my hair, she kept twisting my hair into curls. She used a diffuser and then put me under a hair dryer. While I was under the dryer, she went and got another customer. When the beautician came back to get me, she kept talking about me being able to pay for my daughter's bill at the front. I was confused about my appointment being done and asked her about styling my hair. She took me back to her chair and began roughly using the round brush on one side of my head. When she finished that side, it looked nothing like the picture but was brushed straight. I told her to stop. I had one side of my hair looking worse than scrunching and the other side brushed straight. I was upset. The owner would not let me pay for my cut. I booked with Angela and ever since then I keep going back regularly. Angela is so sweet and she is also an artist when it comes to doing my hair! I like to switch it up a bit every time I visit by trying different colors and when I show her pictures of my ideas she gets it right every time! Absolutely love this salon. A very good friend of mine got hired here after graduating from the Paul Mitchell school and this place is fantastic. It has a cheerful full of light aesthetic. The receptionists are very sweet and always offer water and coat check. The place is full of happy people who love their job. I always recommend Sarah M. as a hairdresser cause she is amazing and sassy and full of ideas for your next hair do. She can keep it simple or go super fancy. As part of your haircut a shampoo and condition with head massage is included and/or hot towel. The prices are great and the service is relaxing and perfect. The salon is really nice, and it is pretty easy to get an appointment. However, I've had bad experiences every time I've gone, and last time was the final straw for me! The first time I went, the girl was about 20 minutes behind. Fine, it happens. She did my hair and i rebooked her. The day before my appointment, they called and said she was sick and asked if i would reschedule for the next week. Sure, things happen! The next week rolls around and the morning of they call me and say the stylist is no longer with them and they wanted me to reschedule with someone else. Annoying and inconvenient, but ok. I needed my hair done for an event. They gave me a $30 credit. I got in with another girl and she did amazing! I loved her and wasn't even upset about my former stylist. So i rebooked her. When the appointment comes around, they call me the day before and say the girl is no longer with them. So is this a coincidence? Or what's going on in there where both of my stylists are leaving? Anyways, i was desperate to get my hair done so i rebooked that day with another girl. They gave me a $50 credit... She did a good job, and was very sweet. But I'm still disappointed over all of the chaos. Whether it's the salons fault or the stylists, they need to get their shit together in my opinion. My teenage daughter recently received a haircut from Ciao Bella's. She went in and asked for a cut and a color, normally $89. We were amazed when the next evening our card was billed $179 plus tip for a grand total of $213 . When I went to the shop to find out what happened I was up front talking with one of the employees, who was actually very helpful. I asked for the manager and he proceeded to call in two police officers. The employee was on the phone with my wife, so the police allowed me to stay until the conversation was complete. Obviously if I was a threat they would have escorted me out. I thanked the police for serving and went home. Just a warning, don't be surprised if you are overcharged. Zero stars read more

Just got home from my apt. Left very unhappy and just want to cry. I have a photo shoot tomorrow and just wanted the copper takin out but instead came out with super ash to grey silver face frame. No more blond but silver. It just looks dull. My heart is sinking just thinking of my mistake. I told him I was unhappy with the front being so silver but he said it will just wash out . I came today though to get ready for the photo shoot tomorrow. It seems no one can do my hair since I lost my amazing stylist a year ago. I have tried so many and thought this one might be it but now I hate looking in the mirror. I think I am done . I have spent $400.00 on my hair this month to try to get we're I want and no one had the talent. Even though I tell them I will pay whatever I need to just give me somebody who can do the job. WARNING***VERY RUDE STAFF*** If you want to be made to feel like you don't belong and are not worth someone's time then go ahead and stop by this establishment. Entire staff was rude and acted like I was a burden. Even the OWNER of the salon was questioning how I even heard of the place and made me feel like I wasn't good enough to be there. They do not take kindly to walkins and charged 60 for a haircut that is mediocre at best. Moved from Va to Ky a little over a year ago & found this salon near my house. My first experience was great, & continued to have my hair cut & highlighted by the same person for the past year. Last September I went from long hair to a short asymmetrical bob with the front being longer. I was still happy with the haircuts I received, but not so much the color my last few visits. I was in Va for a few weeks & had my hair cut while there. She put some subtle layers in the back. I had an appt this past Saturday with my usual hairdresser here in Ky, & asked who she'd recommend in the salon to do my highlights/color as I was spending a lot of money but not happy with the results. She gave me her recommendations & proceeded to cut & style my hair. I've always made it very clear that the front remain longer & no layers...the last few minutes I was in her chair she not only put layers in the front, but cut it very short, so that it's all pretty much the same length. I was very disappointed & asked why she did that- knowing I didn't want it all the same length nor layers in the front. She told me it was like that when I came in- yet she cut a good 2-3 inches off the front. I knew it would be pointless to argue & told the lady at the front desk that I've never had anyone try to argue with me like that at a salon, that I was unhappy with the cut & the way I was treated. I've probably spent $800-$1000 there in the past year, & will never go back. The customer service last Saturday was atrocious & so were the services I paid for. Ciao Bella salon on Factory Lane. Never got an apology or heard from the salon, they applied a $10 credit that was on my account to the total. The whole experience was very disappointing to say the least. read more
