I decided to give Salon Muse a try after Yelp invited them to one of our events. I will say, with the virus going around, I made my research to make sure they were following all recommended safety protocols and they exceeded my expectations! To begin with, there is no waiting inside the salon. You have to stay in your car and call them and they will tell you when to come in so we already started on the right foot! The first thing you will need to do is use sanitizer when you walk in and put on your face mask. Everyone inside was wearing a mask so it felt even more comforting. Additionally, the stylists have their chairs set 6 feet apart to follow social distancing. Everything from the chair to the hair washing stations are sanitizer after each person is done. Kenzie Turk was my stylist and she was awesome! Great conversation without it being too much and she recommended some products but wasn't pushy like some other places! I met Mackenzie and a few others from Salon Muse at a Yelp elite event, and knew I had to check them out later. I was able to book a Saturday afternoon appt with Mackenzie a few days out. And I was excited to get a haircut. When I arrived at Salon Muse, I was offered a drink of coffee or water and shopped around the front area of cute clothing and accessories for sale. But I didn't get a lot of shopping time as Mackenzie was able to get to me right away, so I was seated within minutes of arriving. I shared photos of the short haircut I was hoping for and what I'd like to have this time around. Mackenzie asked a few questions and started my hair wash. She was nice and efficient with my hair wash and I was back in the chair shortly after with my haircut underway. Mackenzie started cutting my hair and we realized another inch would be better so she continued to shorten the hairs. She blew out my hair and it looked nice, I was pleased to find my final bill was $46. A great price for a nice haircut. read more

My 1st experience here was good overall, but my 2nd experience was really bad! I knew something was wrong when my hair was being over-processed due to poor planning and the stylist said "...easy fix." A few months later, thank goodness, my hair is no longer dry and falling out, but I'll never return to Salon Muse. (I have a relative who has had two bad experiences at this location and won't be returning either.) read more

I have very fine, soft hair with little or no body. Well, Carrie took over and said we'd take care of any issues I might have. The cut she gave me was perfection! What a little gem! I was in search of a new salon having just moved here and decided to try Salon Muse because it is in my neighborhood. I figured I would start with a blowout (#curlyhairproblems) to test out the place and scope things out. I wound up with Nicole and she couldn't be sweeter or more talented. After a quick consultation and an offer of something to drink (wine, ladies!), she got to work. Not only did my hair look amazing, it stayed that way for days and Nicole spent the whole time talking to me about the area and giving me suggestions. We've all been to that salon where you can tell the employees don't really want to be there. This is not that place. On my way out I got a welcome packet with TONS of coupons for free services and discounts. I have since been back for another blowout and haircut - both as equally amazing as my first experience. The prices were extremely fair. I'm used to $70+ for a haircut so anything in the $40's seems like a bargain to me, which is what I paid. My next haircut appointment is already scheduled and I plan to try out their brow services on my next visit. After all, I have a free coupon! read more

My family moved here from out of state and it's scary looking for a new hair stylist. We had such a great one where we moved from and she took years to find. My husband is extremely picky and has very unique and difficult hair that requires someone who is very skilled with men's scissor cuts. The few months we've been here, he's already been to several stylists and his hair looks just ok every time. Then there's my 3 year old son who I like to have a real haircut. Not a typical "kids cut" but an actual scissor cut that takes time is styled well. I'm pretty picky. We were walking around Norton Commons and I saw the salon and nervously decided to take my little boy in for a haircut. It was getting really long and I was desperate. Kerry was great and his haircut was great! She really listened to what I wanted and my little boy absolutely loved her. Very important for my little guy to feel comfortable. So about a month later I convinced my husband to give her a try. While he was in the chair I felt bad because I really like her and I feel bad for anyone having to cut my husbands difficult hair. His hair looked awesome! He didn't have to play with it to make it work like he usually does because it was perfect. He was so happy and said it's the best haircut he's EVER had, ever. Meanwhile, my little boy had Nicole cut his hair this time around and she was great! I was equally as happy as I was with Kerry cutting his hair the last time. Nicole was so great with my little guy and he loved her as well. Kerry and Nicole are exceptional! They are genuinely cheerful, welcoming and take great pride in their work and it really shows! We are so happy and relieved that we have to look no further and found such great stylists for our family! read more

I just moved into the neighborhood from Charlotte and wanted to get an eyebrow wax. Didn't feel like searching all over town so decided to walk down the street and try Salon Muse out. I was placed with Kerry who did an AWESOME job. My brows looked amazing. A few weeks later I decided to try her with cutting my curly hair. I haven't had a cut since last July when I went to an actual Deva Curl specialist who completely ruined my hair and my curls. I was very hesitant to get a cut ever again but after almost 9 months I at least needed a trim. So I went back and asked for Kerry and told her all of my fears and how I just needed a small cut here and there just to fix out my badly overgrown hair. I was very nervous but I powered through. She talked to me about the haircut the entire time she was cutting. When she was finished and dried my hair with a diffuser I was shocked-but in a great way. My hair looked so beautiful! After 2 weeks it still looks beautiful! I am now a super huge fan of Kerry's and will go to her even if I move again. Kerry you are ******6 stars!!! read more

Best cut I've had in years! Angie really listened to me describe what I wanted, and closely examined my hair type. The result is just what I was looking for!! The salon is immaculate, airy, and light. Everyone was polite and professional. Although I just happened to stop in from out of tow while visiting family, this is now my go-to salon, well worth an hour's drive. read more
