If you're hesitant to call a plumber because you're worried about being upsold, overcharged, or flat-out scammed I get it. I've been there. But let me tell you, Real Texas Plumbing and its owner Efrain are in a class of their own. Late last night, we had a plumbing nightmare toilets and tubs overflowing, no water pressure, total chaos. We contacted Efrain, not expecting much until the next day, but he was at our doorstep before 7:30 AM. On time, professional, and ready to help. Efrain and his brother inspected everything thoroughly. They didn't rush. They didn't talk down to us. Instead, they walked us through the issue step by step, explained everything calmly, and even showed us a video to help educate us on how grinder pumps work. Not once did they try to upsell us. Not once did they suggest unnecessary repairs or services. And here's the part that blew me away: when all was said and done, I asked what we owed and Efrain didn't even want to charge us. For a job that another well-known local company once charged us $350 for, Real Texas Plumbing asked for nothing. Let that sink in. No pressure. No scams. Just honesty, integrity, and old-school neighborly care. Real Texas Plumbing is exactly what you hope for in a local business honest, skilled, affordable, and genuinely kind. If you're in our little town and need plumbing help, especially with grinder pumps, don't think twice. Call Efrain. This is the best experience I've had with any service provider in decades. Hands down.

His prices for parts were a bit on the high side, so my bill was slightly higher than anticipated because we needed lots of, yes... parts. However, he came the next morning at 8:00 a.m. Is very professional, and courteous and I felt comfortable with him. He also did an excellent job and left the space clean. I'll pay extra for that. And next time, maybe I won't need parts, ha! Truly--highly recommend.

Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber…read more The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. It is what it is. If I was able to do it myself, I would've. Live and learn Learn a trade kids lol

From my initial interaction with the office representatives (Taylor, Dave Sr., and Dave Jr.) to the technicians who came out to my home (Nick, Jackie, and John Paul), the level of professionalism and care was outstanding. The team provided an in-depth assessment and diagnostic of all identified issues. Just as importantly, they took the time to clearly explain areas that were not a concern and documented a thorough review outlining why those aspects of the home were in good condition, information that will be extremely valuable for future home inspections or potential buyers. Each team member was knowledgeable, responsive, and thorough in addressing my concerns, making what could have been a stressful situation feel manageable and well-handled. When people speak of organizations that deliver top-tier service, this is exactly the kind of company they mean. AirCo has earned my trust and will be my first call for any future needs.

We did not purchase an entire new AC system/compressor/furnace with Jon Paul M. for the following…read morereasons: 1. He charged $675 to fill coolant and run a leakage test when he knew there was a 90% chance beforehand my evaporator coil was leaking and it would not be worth replacing the evaporator coil for $4500. He only offered a $675 credit towards a new system after I complained. 2. When I texted him a question about the new system quotes last year, he ghosted. Yet he emailed me four days later asking if I was ready to purchase a $17k system. Four days to decide on a $17k system without answering questions or receive other bids is not enough time. He cares more about making the commission than answering questions. 3. Jon Paul kept pushing the top of the line variable Daikin for $17k. Yet Shields AC & Heating in Lockhart said the DH7VSA compressor has a lot of firmware and software bugs communicating with the thermostat. Shields said it's not worth all the rebates and incentives. 4. Airco only offers a three year labor warranty through Airco. Yet they do not tell you that Daikin and Goodman offer an extended ten year labor warranty through Asure for $850. Daikin owns Goodman. 5. Jon Paul's quote did not include new return and supply plenum, unless he didn't specify. He only mentioned spraying the existing supply plenum with mold killer. 6. Jon Paul did not suggest moving the entire system 3 - 4 feet in the attic to reduce static pressure. Three other companies suggested moving the entire system. 7. When I asked Jon Paul what the difference was between the $17k variable Daikin and $15k variable Daikin, his response was, "More features and stuff." I need someone more articulate. 8. Jon Paul did not run a Manual J test. Ultimately, we ended up paying $12.1k with Jurnee Mechanical for a variable Goodman GXV6S condenser which included new return and supply plenum, moving the entire system 3 - 4 feet in the attic, 10 year extended labor warranty through Trinity, free maintenance for two years, and Reme Halo UV light.

Great Plumbers (and Pet Sitters)…read more We have used Cold is on the Right plumbing several times in the past for routine work. This time we had a few small jobs to tackle (faucet replacement, garbage disposal replacement). I called and they said they'd have someone out the next day. It was not a rush at all, but every time we have used them it has always been that prompt. The price is always fair and the work is exceptional. Every plumber we have had has been friendly, and offers plumbing related tips and suggestions. This time was no different. Jack was our plumber this time. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. We were completely satisfied with the work. An hour after he left though the call came. It was Jack. He said "something has happened that I have never had happen before". I thought, "certainly he has left a tool or something behind at our house". He then went on to say "I have one of your chickens". He had left the roll up door on his box truck open while working. We have free range chickens and apparently one of them wanted to check out his truck! Of course not expecting that, when he was done he secured the truck and went to his next job, which was an hour away. We were out of town by then and couldn't do anything. Jack said he had two jobs to finish but would drop the chicken back off afterward. Sure enough, several hours later (and no doubt an exciting adventure for the chicken) Jack dropped off the chicken, and took a photo of her back home. Yet somehow the story was still not over. An hour after that Jack texted again with a picture and said "I got an egg"!!!! Apparently she was so happy with her trip she left him what she could! She was back out the next day, hoping Jack would come back so she could ride along again! This company is first rate. Every time. They do excellent work and will always go above and beyond for their customers. Highly recommended.
