Ordered online via GrubHub but was surprised they didn't list much vegetarian options on their menu. I ordered the pad sew ew and they only had beef or chicken as the protein so I wrote in the "special requests" portion to only include vegetables or tofu (for vegetarian). However, I was sad to see that my pad sew ew included a bunch of shredded chicken in the serving which made it almost inedible to eat :( Wish they would list "tofu" or "only vegetables" for other protein options! read more

This place is a "hole in the wall." Usually this term is used to describe good food in a very interesting setting. However, the food was whatever, and the area was decent. After all these years, I finally decided to give this place a try. Not bad, not bad at all. To start, the owner is super sweet! She takes pride in her food and customer service. I ordered chicken yellow curry, pad Thai, and fried tofu. The yellow curry is very good. The consistency is just right. It's got a touch of spiciness which I do love. The pad Thai noodles are tender, soft and very good. The portions are not large at all, so if you are really hungry, I suggest ordering an additional dish. Parking is in a small lot in the back of the restaurant or front street parking. There's plenty of seating inside with a few booths, tables and chairs. Hadn't tried any Thai food in Glendale area before so thought I'd satisfy my craving here - the lady who brought my takeout was so so sweet! Service made me feel like I was at home and taken care of even though it wasn't even for a sit-down meal. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and thought it had just the right amount of sauce and light flavor without being overwhelmingly heavy or oily like a lot of other places tend to be. I'm not going to lie, the exterior doesn't scream Thai food or even look like a restaurant; but I finally gave this place a shot. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. What flavor. Great flavor. We ordered wonton soup, combination fried rice and pad kee mau some wide noodles with pork. Man, the spice level was just perfect. I am impressed. Kind of hard to find as there is no big sign on the building itself; the name of the place is on the window. I believe there is a small parking lot in the back or you can find street parking. There is one lady that is handling all the front end services, who I assume is the owner. Since it's only her, the service gets backed up. Luckily, the food doesn't take that long after placing your order. Ordered the Tom Yum, Pad Thai, and Spicy Basil. The food tasted great, great balance of flavors. Tom Yum had mostly soup and not much substance, wished there were more chicken and other solids. Pad thai tasted good and portions were alright. Didn't like having to order the rice separately for the spicy basil. Other places come with rice and don't require an additional charge for rice. $1.50 for the rice and it was like 1 spoonful. Portions were really small for the spicy basil. Taste is satisfactory but maybe I'll look to come at an off-time to avoid long waits and avoid a rice dish due to small portions. read more

The food was great! Our Kung pao chicken was delicious and you can't go wrong with their pad Thai. The portion sizes were just right for two people--we were really satisfied! 3.5 stars Cute little place. Seats about 20 people. $6.95 lunch specials from noon to 4pm, which is nice if you end up taking a late lunch. They are closed on Mondays. I ordered the chicken, mushroom, and ginger lunch special and a Thai iced tea. Thai iced tea was standard and good. Egg roll was okay. It wasn't hot though, luke warmish, so probably would have been better if it'd been nice and hot. Dipping sauce was good with a bit of a kick which I love. Salad was good, but I wish the portion had been a little bigger. Loved the peanut salad dressing. The chicken dish was good with a nice ginger flavor and the portion was decent for a lunch special. Service was good and quick but it was pretty empty when I was in there. The woman was super nice. I think she might be the/one of the owners. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to eat here, but a decent Thai option when I'm craving it and in the area. read more

Sadly disappointing. Went in to find an empty restaurant, plates still on one of the tables, and nobody to greet us. The lady who eventually came to serve us was actually very pleasant. She had a nice energy and was very laid back - just not that well suited to the service industry. Every time we needed service we had to call out to attract attention, since she was not actually IN the restaurant but stayed out back, out of view. That made me feel like a nuisance rather than a guest. The food that came had an authentic, pleasant flavor. Tom yum soup with shrimp was tastey, but contained shrimp that appeared as though they had been boiling in the broth all morning. Similarly the lunch special with chicken had very small pieces of over-cooked chicken. It all tasted GOOD and as a Thai food junky I won't have any reservations to eat here again and check that my rating is fair ;) - but considering it has four stars on Yelp I was very surprised by the lack of quality here. read more

One of my favorite Thai places in the area... I'm picky when it comes to Thai food, and this place has my approval. I've been going there for a few years, and I am very pleased. I usually order one of the Curries here, because they just get it right. They present it for you in a giant plate, with a side of rice.... and the curries here just taste amazing. And no MSG!!!! I always enjoy my food here. One thing that could be better is the Thai iced tea... Its too sweet for my taste. I recently started going to Cibo Thai by a recommendation from a friend and am hooked. I wouldn't have gone because it's easy to miss being a bit down the road on Honolulu from the main action. It's near the new Trader Joe's past Montrose Bike Shop. Angela the owner is always the server and is always in a good mood so you won't have to worry about attitude (or a server leaving abruptly before you are done because their shift is over). The small dining room was upgraded in March. My review of the food is based on the chicken pad thai and vegetable curry. The pad thai is very good but I have been ordering the curry almost everytime now because it is incredibly addicting. Neither of the dishes comes with broccoli so I have them add it. If you ask for healthier brown rice you actually get what I believe is called Thai black rice that is a purple color and tastes great with the curry sauce. I ordered their Thai coconut seafood soup and pad Thai to go. My bill came to $24 plus tax. When ordering, I asked what seafood was in the soup and was told it included calamari, shrimp, fish and crab. Well, it wasn't crab. It was imitation crab which is pollack. And there was too much of the imitation crab in the soup unfortunately. The pad Thai was good, but the proportion seemed a bit on the small side. Not enough peanut as well. Both were tasty but it will be my last time going there. There are better places near Glendale to get Thai food. read more

So very disappointed and honestly annoyed with Cibo Thai. My wife ordered over the phone and explicitly said how many people we expected. She picked up the food and once we got home we then noticed how minuscule the portions were. Mind you we are comparing to Thai BBQ in Glendale, and wanted to try out a local place. Angela knows my voice when I order over the phone. She reminds me that my daughter does not like onions and my son usually adds tomatoes and peas!! The food is incredibly flavorful and fresh!
