The food is pretty nice but the cleanliness of the place threw me off during various points throughout eating. The food is consistent to what you'd expect a good Cicis culinary experience to be. The hostess and staff were nice and attentive to over the counter needs such as extra cheddar cheese for your salad, however this place really needs to have someone responsible for wiping tables and controlling the semi-gnarly smell of this place. I took a bunch of Cicis cinnamon rolls to go as part of reparations for the sanitary condition. Poor customer service. I walked in and was about to walk to the buffet when I was instructed that I needed to pay first. I had not been to the restaurant in a very long time, and after reading the reviews, wanted to make sure the food looked good. The "gentleman" took offense, so I ignored him and went to grab a look--and also see the number of customers. So he decided to follow me. This has never been an issue at other buffets. Terrible service. Not sure if they were having a bad day or not but the food was over cooked and all the drinks tasted funny. My biggest problem was that the man charged me $9.70 then again charged me $55.42 when I only had 3 people and when I brought it to his attention he pretended to act like he knew what he was doing and then charged me again $34.89 saying that the first charge would be refunded back to me. The first thing that happened was the cashier telling us about a fight he got into earlier in the day IN THe restaurant, so we were off to a great, professional start. And then we were notified of the area that was closed for seating because it was so disgusting that they had to clean it. Next, we filled our plates with "pizza." Then we didn't eat it because it was terrible lol. We tried the macaroni but it tasted like rubber. The workers were talking to each other more than actually cleaning the floor that you could barely see through trash and spilt drinks. On top of everything else, a lady actually called my girlfriend out for not having water in her water cup. I've been here a few times and I always enjoy the pizza. I love the different varieties and I love that you can request specific pizzas to be added to the buffet. I also like the salad bar. I've been to other pizza places that had salad bars but the ingredients weren't as fresh. My only gripe (very minor) is that the restaurant has been open for some time now since the renovation. I start off with a mundane salad and nasty ranch dressing (no faux bacon bits b/c they give me burps). Then I hit the 'za. Tons o flavors. My bf and I decided to go to CiCis today because we thought it would be a delicious, but cheap, way to fill our pizza craving and have some fun! I wish we never went because the place that we remembered as children certainly was not the place we went to today! They advertise for a 5.99 buffet, but this doesn't even include drinks! They charge $2 additional dollars for drinks, so essentially this buffet cost us a little over $17 total. Sure- cheap but we could've gotten chic fil a or canes or something else for cheaper. And it would've been a HELL of a lot better than this! Upon arrival, we both started with 2-3 slices and some salad & pasta. Honestly, every single slice was DISGUSTING, SOGGY, GREASY, OLD, and BLAND. The salad bar ingredients looked like they had been sitting out all day and tasted gross. The pasta was watered down and so was the sauce.... I wouldn't eat here again even if it was free. We were both so hungry so despite our better judgment, we consumed what was on our plates. We both were completely disgusted with ourselves after our meal and were ready to leave. But then they brought out some fresh cinnamon rolls. And we were like, how can they mess up cinnamon rolls?! Cinnamon rolls are delicious! And ok yes- they were delicious cinnamon rolls!! Like amazing. But once we finished eating them, we knew it was all a TERRIBLE mistake. I told my boyfriend we had to leave because I didn't feel good. Neither did he. We got in the car and both couldn't stop complaining about how bad we felt. I joked that we should just throw up and get something better. He laughed. We drove for a few minutes and kept pointing out how many better places we could've eaten at. I joked again that we just need to get this pizza out of our system. Or in the words of bridesmaids "I think you'd just feel better if you threw up!" He looked me straight in the eye and said "is that too far?". I contemplated then said no, I think we need to. Next thing I know, we are pulled over in a neighborhood and both puking our guts out. Horrible customer service. Refused to feed me and my fiancé because they decided to (at the last minute) rent out their restaurant to a group. They turned away more business than they probably got from the group. So unreasonable. The manager at the front was very rude when telling people that they would not be allowed inside. Maybe people would not be upset if they had marked their restaurant as "closed" online - so people did not drive all the way across town for a simple thing only to get turned away by a rude man.
