We were traveling out of town and wanted to have pizza so we decided to stop at the Cicis. When we got up to the cash register we told the girl that it was four of us and we wanted fountain water. From going to other Cicis there's no charge for fountain water. We were charge for bottled water and we told the girl that no we wanted fountain water but she seemed not to know English very well. Not that this was a big deal but didn't want to pay for water so we asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over and we told him we have been to other Cicis before and never was charged for water. He applied and says that it cuts down on theft to me I took it as an insult as if he thought I might steal from him. He said he could not do anything ok it's water no big deal then so me and the family went in and enjoyed ourselves. The pizza was very good and they continue to keep up making fresh pizza and cleaning dirty plates off the table. I wanted to request a stuffed crust pizza that I usually order at our Cicis near our home. I actually talked to the manager to request this and he says that he does not make stuff crust pizza for the clients inside his restaurant he only does it when you purchase an item to go. never was told that before at any Cicis At this point I could see that this manager is a hardcore Penny Pincher. They had the limited time chocolate dessert pizza that I noticed they do not add powdered sugar as it should have on it even though they have a sign in their window showing it on it but probably the manager wanted to save a couple of pennies by not putting all the ingredients on it. I came to eat with my daughter and husband. My husband told the lady at the register one adult and one child are eating. She proceeded to ring us up for 3 people instead of the two she was told. I looked at the receipt after my husband paid and realized what she did. I asked her for a refund for me since I was not eating. She told me that either I pay to come in or I'm not allowed in the restaurant. I told her I have celiac disease and cannot eat at the restaurant. She said it doesn't matter, either I pay or I have to leave. When leaving I see that they allow a dog in a carrier to be brought inside of a restaurant, yet I'm not allowed in the building to be with my daughter and husband. It already sucks to not be able to go out and enjoy a meal with my family because almost every restaurant cross contaminated their food with gluten, but it's a whole new level of insulting and hurtful to be told you can't even sit in a booth, without food, to be with your family without paying for food you can't even eat. read more

This place is the definition of "you get what you pay for". The food here is hit or miss. The pizza aren't bad, the soup here is terrible, the desserts here are amazing, and I wouldn't go near the salad unless you really want to become acquainted with E. coli. What I usually do is get the unlimited buffet, but I tell them what pizza I want and they bring it to my table. That way you don't have to eat toppings you don't like. Me and my husband visited the store on Haywood Road in Greenville, SC on 6/2/2023. We bought 2 adult buffets and 2 waters totaling $19.40. After about 15 minutes we left as the store was extremely dirty and unkept (floor covered in food and napkins, no clean tables, tables piled with food that looked like it had been sitting there for hour, bathrooms a disgrace, etc). We have been here in the past (about a year ago) and it was never this bad. This had to be the dirtiest Cici's we have ever been in. We left as we did not feel like it was a sanitary place to eat, it made both of us lose our appetite, and we were afraid to get sick eating in such a dirty restaurant. Unfortunate to spend almost $20 and leave after 1 slice of half-eaten pizza (was ice cold as was everything else in the window including the pasta and sauce). I have been here many times to this same location and have never been treated with such hospitality here or anywhere else ever before! I will definitely return more often!!! I haven't been here in over a year and it has really changed! Wish I could say it was better, but unfortunately that's not the case. The cashier must have been having a bad day since she never smiled and was "short" when answering questions. She's definitely not a people person. All the empty tables and booths needed to be cleared and cleaned. I finally asked one of the staff for a cloth to clean the table and he was very apologetic. He was also very nice and immediately cleaned the table. The salad bar needed to be replenished as well as the salad dressing dispensers. I never got dressing for my salad. Before I left I spoke with the man in charge and I learned that he, too, did not communicate very well. Possibly that's why the staff did not show initiative. I was very disappointed to see the direction this CiCi's location has taken. Unfriendly staff, dirty tables, and loud atmosphere are not ways to draw customers. Ok. I've tried hard to be positive about this place, but I cannot any longer. When you walk in, unless you get a drink, you must pay for a bottle of water that can't be refilled with cold water. Perfect. They claim there is no water dispenser, but there is one, but not cold. I guess too many people decided to steal drink products . This place was so gross. There were dirty plates everywhere and the staff was very rude. I was getting my pizza and the lady kept giving me dirty looks and there wasn't much of a selection for a pizza. We ordered half-and-half and they threw pizza on a plate and handed it to us from the line after we ordered it specially. They ran out of plates which was probably due to them being on the table dirty the busboy didn't clean off the tables we were sitting next to dirty plates for over 45 minutes they were there before we even got there that's disgusting. Very unsatisfied with my last visit to CiCi's. I ordered take-out with a coupon for black friday- free 1-topping pizza with a order of $10 or more. When I arrived I had to wait almost outside the door because the line was so long. There was only one cashier and he was slow, impolite and didn't smile at all. There was another employee standing at the other register just talking to her friend when she could've helped moved things along but no. She talked for the whole duration I was standing in line, which was almost 10 minutes. Once I finally got to the front, the cashier didn't greet me he just stood there waiting for me to say something. He didn't know how to use the coupon I had so he had to call over the girl that was talking to her friend to help him. He finally got it and I paid then he just stared at me and I said "Is my order ready?" and he went to go check and THEN I proceed to see him grab my order that was UNDER the buffet bar with one of the buffet pizzas on top of my order, not in a heater like at the Easley, SC location and didn't even show me the pizzas to see if it was right.
