I brought my dad here since he wanted to give it a whirl. It was his first time, according to him. As for me, I haven't eaten at a Cici's in a decade. I don't exactly remember if I enjoyed it, but my dining experience at the League City location was so-so. As a fan of pizza, the thought of eating nearly unlimited amounts of it should get me excited. The pies at Cici's, while hot and fresh, didn't impress me in the flavor department. It seemed I was eating more of the dough than the toppings or even the cheese. I get that Cici's is a chain, but their kitchen staff should put some effort into making the pizza taste decent. I'd stop short of calling Cici's a lost cause, however. I enjoyed their salad bar, and their hot buffalo wings packed some good heat. As I'm typing this, I'm savoring their brownies. I love how they melt in my mouth. But then again, the desserts were right next to the pizzas catching much of the heat. Cici's isn't for me per se, but if you have kids, I suggest you take them here when they bring home a stellar report card. read more

Honestly it's gone tremendously down hill. Even pizza "fresh out of the oven" is cold, and very cardboard-ish. Yet we continue to come back. Cinnamon rolls are the best, and they seem to always give you coupons for a free buffet. It works with my family of four, but it's not the greatest pizza around. It's fairly cheap, $28 for two adult buffets, one child's, and one child's under 3 with To-Go cups. If you're just looking for a cheap night away from home, this works. Wow... and not in a good way. The last time we dined there, just last week, to take the kids out for some cheap pizza. I remember Cici's from my past as being a great place for decent food at a decent price that the kids would love. I haven't been in a few years, so I was really disappointed when I did go. The place was greasy--everywhere. There was a film of grease on the tables, on the walls, on the bar, on the trays. The silverware wasn't cleaned well. The plates were hit or miss on cleanliness. The cheese and hot peppers on the table? No way I'd eat anything from them. Even the napkin holders were greasy and filthy. It was like the place hadn't had a good clean-down in a long, long time. If the front of the house looks like this, I don't even want to think about the back of the house. Shudders. Scary. The food was only just average to fair. The service, which I used to remember as being upbeat, greeting at the door and saying bye when folks leave, was nonexistent. When casual dining places like Chili's are offering the 2 for 20 meals, Cici's is no longer the 'good deal' it once was at the prices they charge now. The game room is greasy and dirty and there aren't many offerings to play (check out Gatti's if you want games, or Dave & Buster's). If cleanliness and good food are what you're wanting, at a decent price, Cici's in League City isn't your place. It's not 'awful', but I'm not ever going to go back. read more

As we were eating our meal, an employee came up and started harassing us because I was not eating the outside crust of my pizza. He claimed we were wasting pizza and if I didn't start eating all the crusts, he was calling the police on us. I cannot believe this. I asked for the employee's name and he said his name was Jonathan and he was the manager at that location. I am not sure he told me the truth. We had to stop eating and leave. If I don't like the hard outside crusts, why am I forced at threat of police action to eat it? Haven't been to Cici's in a while. Took the kids because they were hungry and thought it would be quick. It was busy and they were completely unprepared to handle it. I had to wait over 20 minutes just to get the pizza I was looking for (it was a standard buffet pizza - not a special order). The girl behind the buffet was rude. I asked when the pepperoni pizza would be out and she cut me off saying "every pizza will be out in a minute". I waited 10 minutes and finally asked another employee when I could expect the pizza - and she said that the pizza I asked about hadn't even been put in the oven yet. I took my family here about one month ago to enjoy dinner. We love Cicis just as my youngest of 2 daughters began pouring the grated cheese on her pizza we noticed that there was mold in the actual shaker. We informed management about the moldy shaker and to our dismay the manager on duty took the shaker and went to the back. Never once did she apologize or try and rectify the situation. I then asked to speak to someone and got a manager who still did not apologize but instead gave my family of four, two free buffets when we clearly asked for our money back. I didn't want to start a whole issue so we left and got something to eat elsewhere. On 11/15/16 I took my girls back to this same Cicis because my daughter had a free buffet ticket she had gotten from school. I was told I could only use one of my three free buffet tickets which is no where on there to be see but not only that I was shocked to find that the one coupon they had given us literally 2 weeks ago was expired and the cashier would not take it. So after explaining the situation the last time that happen he took it. As we began to eat I notice a Caucasian family sitting a couple tables over from us who had found something in their salad (foreign or mold). To my surprise when the mother of the family went up to say something about it she was greeted quite quickly by a member of the management team who gave her a full refund??? I was shocked and appalled by this and got my girls and left the establishment. I am shocked that Cicis Pizza would hire such people who demonstrate such awful acts of racism. Paid for 2 adult buffets and 2 drinks plus 2 $4.99 kids buffets one of which I had a free coupon for and a kid drink and a kid water. My kids are 9 and 3. They refused to give my 3 yr old a kids cup for water instead they gave him a huge cup with no lid and that is a bad idea water would have been everywhere they argued a drink don't come with coupon and so my 3yr old couldn't have the small cup for water. The cleanliness of this particular location has gotten a lot better. The staff seem to be more on top there game with cleaning and picking up, which to me is a huge deal considering I have OCD about cleaning. They great each customer as they walk in the door now, and tell each customer thanks as they leave to continue their day. All the table tops are wiped down after each person gets up to leave and the floor is sweeped up. It has gotten way better since my last visit. I always try to give restaurants second chances after along time being gone from it to see if they will fix the problem and step their game up, and they have and I'm very impressed about it, because my kids love pizza and I kinda like it as well lol. read more

I called this location on February 1, 2018, at 706PM to place an order for future delivery to my daughter's birthday party. I obtained this information from the establishment as one of the nearby locations that provide delivery to the venue. The party was scheduled for 1PM, on February 3, 2018, at AcroSports in League City. When I placed the order, I asked the young lady if I needed to pay over the phone with a credit card, and was informed that I would pay at the time of delivery. At 1158A today, I called to confirm the order, both types of pizzas (eight large pizzas: 4 pepperoni, 3 cheese, 1 supreme), and the location of delivery. I had the order confirmed with the young lady that I spoke to, and as she was speaking, something happened with the phone connection (I believe) and she hung up on me. When I called back at 1159A, the phone range several times, was picked up, then hung up without anyone talking to me (I did hear sounds and the call lasted 37 seconds). I called again at 1203P, wanting to speak to someone to see if the order that I had requested for a 130P delivery, could be available for a 1P pick-up. The young lady answered the phone again, and said, "We don't deliver. You can talk to the manager." The manager got on the phone, and told me that they don't deliver, then hung up the phone. I tried to call again at 1212P and 1214P, and there was no answer. My husband called from his phone, and his call was answered immediately. All that we wanted to do was to see if we could have the order ready 30 minutes earlier for pick-up, which would have been fine, but the employees were so incredibly rude. My husband was finally able to speak to someone else closer to 1P (I do not have the exact time of his call, as they were made from his phone; no one would answer from my number). We wanted to make certain that the order would not be prepared, as we no longer had confidence in this establishment, nor its employees. I was never rude to the people, I simply wanted to ask if it was possible to change the order to have it ready earlier, since, someone would have had to pick it up and bring it to my daughter's party. I was quite disappointed that this was the treatment that we received, after being told that delivery was an option (even when placing the order). Instead, we cancelled the order and got pizzas from Pizza Hut to serve our guests. Unfortunately, we were once fans of cicis pizza, but because of this experience, we will not be ordering from this restaurant again. We also informed AcroSports in League City about our experience, and they have taken steps to have this particular restaurant removed from their list of suggested vendors. It is my sincere hope that no other customers are treated as rudely as we were. read more

This is the best CiCi's pizza in the Houston area. The salad bar is top notch with more offerings than any other CiCi's. They always have a wide variety of pizzas available as well. The pizza even tatses better here. The store is clean and employees are always cleaning or refreshing the pizzas or salad bar. The manager here deserves a serious pat on the back. This is my 3rd time giving cici's in victory lakes (league city Texas) a chance. I am truly disappointed to say the least. The quality is terrible and so is the customer service. I spent $40 to eat here and it is terrible. The crusts are strange and undercooked and the noodles on the soup, which I usually love at other cicis, are very soggy. I have been going to cicis for years and never had this bad of quality and no one that you can talk to bc they just stare at you like you are crazy. I had a good experience today. I was a bit skeptical because I'm kind of a health/nutrition freak, and I totally get that buffets normally come at the expense of poor service, quality, and often poor nutrition for cheap ingredients. Today: They really beat those trade-offs. If you're worried about your health, then front load on their salad bar- everyone in the family could easily be included if someone is really that concern. They had crunchy and seemingly fresh leafy greens available, and even spinach with a wide selection of topics you could add. I really like broccoli and I was thrilled they had regular pickles instead of sweet pickles. I front load my plates too. Now, as for the rest of buffet: Spinach pizza, cheese pizza, and Alfredo pizzas were the ones I had with the cheese garlic bread pieces. It tasted like pizza to me (I've heard otherwise about this place). I think a few of them surprised me because I didn't notice any pizza sauce, but I often ask for light on the sauce or none at all even when I go elsewhere, and so this worked out really well for me although I could see how it may frustrate others. Stick to the traditional flavours if you want to be sure to have sauce, or you can add the sauce from the noodle bar; my companion did that with the macaroni slice and he said it made it substantially better. The lack of sauce makes the cheese on the pizza very pronounced in each bite for me; I'd highly recommend this place for cheese fanatics. I'd say my main concern is how oily the slices may be... but again... there's no free lunch (although the prices were pretty close to it) and it's an understandable effect for keeping the buffet ready with a pretty good selection. Most of the slices were very good and only one of them got on the oily side for me. I gorged through about 10 slices total, about two sets of the noodles, and three large plates of salad, and so I'm not going to have a fit over one slice of the many wonderful ones. I didn't really consider the other options too much because I'm a vegetarian. I did notice a few interesting ones such as a macaroni, grilled cheese, and dessert pizzas, but those were insanely outside of my health tolerance. I'm okay with eating a "ridiculous" amount, but I try to keep the "obvious" sources of sugar to a low. The service was pretty good and the area was kept clean despite a busy hour. The staff passed by our table a few times and gathered our plates and offered us other slices they had prepared- I think it was pretty good customer service. I'm not sure about offering buffet guest newly prepared slices because buffets are kind of self-serve, but I suppose everyone has their own opinion of that. I have heard rumours and seen previous reviews about sanitary concerns. This was either not the case for today or their team really worked hard to resolve it. Great job! I did feel like the staff was a bit systematic and lost some personality, but I suspect it's a tough job and seems to require a good pace- the team did wonderful today in my opinion.
