The meatballs are a must. The meatballs are a must ... one more time: the meatballs were a must.

    Salad from Salad Bar

I stopped in for an early dinner and the restaurant was not busy at all. I was told to sit anywhere, and I picked a spot close to the salad bar. The menu was large, and I decided on the Manicotti. My waitress took my order right away and told me that a trip to the salad bar was included. The salad bar was clean with a good selection. It had shredded ham, which I really like. Everything looked very fresh. They had approx. 6 different dressing choices along with croutons and crackers. My Manicotti arrived and it was smothered in melted mozzarella and very hot. The pasta was really good, not too thick or thin and the cheese filling was very flavorful. The tomato sauce was on the sweet side, in fact I wonder if this is their pizza sauce because I could totally see that. My dinner also came with some bread and that was really the only disappointment I had; it didn't live up to the rest of the food. They should have had much better bread. Overall, a really good dining experience. I would most definingly go back if I am ever in town again.

Came in after the lunch rush, fast friendly service. I'm a huge critic of Italian food coming from my early youth around many Italian immigrants or 1st generation. The service was very good and they offered our duty crews a public service discount which was very nice. My sandwich came toasted which made it hard with a lot of crumbs, The sausage was sliced small but was plentiful, green peppers were a good size. Sauce was average, almost like a Sysco type of sauce, not a big fan. I'd definitely come back and try this not toasted and other things on the .menu.

Omg this place is so worth it!!! The place is so cute with the fresh salad bar and wines... also very clean and wasn't too packed on a Sunday & the waitress was so sweet and kind such a good vibe sweet soul I tell you... I wanted to try everything! Lol seriously tho everything looked so good I went here with my uncle Dan and his friend Diana and we started out with the huge meatball appetizer with the Alfred sauce smothered over it it was SERIOUSLY COOKED PERFECTLY (chefs kiss) honestly, you could order that and itself as a meal it's a huge meatball and we all had a good little bite... The meatball is so flavorful salted to perfection with the right amount of everything ! Meatball was literally not too hard not too soft.... Just mouthwatering goodness I wish I had another one right now.... Just that alone is a good reason to go there, but I advise you you're definitely gonna wanna order more than one lol my uncle's friend Diana got her some soup and salad, which looks so fresh and amazing. Don't even know what all she ordered for soup but I could smell it and it smelled fantastic. then my uncle ordered him a potato soup which I didn't try but it looked like pretty standard typical potato soup kind of weird I guess I don't Italian restaurant but I bet you it was fantastic... as for myself, I couldn't help but order the cheese raviolis with tomato and meat sauce.... So delicious &the perfect amount I honestly could've ate more... I also really wanted to try the manicotti ... because well, who can resist cheese? haha anyways, do not pass up this place look no further Mario's is where it's at for ITALIAN It puts most Italian restaurants to shame the only other Italian restaurant I'm really into besides Mario's. Is La Griglia but that's all the way downtown. and I'll always want to go back here! Until next time!

The Camera brothers, Francesco "Frankie" and Giuseppe, own Frenchie's in Clear Lake and Villa Capri in Seabrook. Out of everyone in my party visiting Villa Capri, I was the only one who has never been to Frenchie's, which tends to be a favorite of NASA astronauts and employees. What I really love about Villa Capri are the incredible outdoor waterfront views. From what I understand, the Camera family originally hails from the Isle of Capri in the Campania region of Italy. Knowing this, everything from the name of the restaurant to the location makes sense. My order consisted of the garlic bread with dipping oil (closer to aglio e olio than garlic confit) and linguine and clams with white wine sauce. I shared the bread, which I really liked, with the table. My favorite part of the meal was the linguine and clams. The flavor was sublime, and I liked the peppery essence in combination with other savory flavors. In fact, this was the best linguine and clams dish I've tried over the years. But going back to another aspect of Villa Capri that immediately caught my attention, the waterfront views were memorable and uniquely beautiful. I thought the service was good, but the waiter could have been more knowledgeable about the menu. Still, I would give grace on this aspect of things since it was his first day on the job. Luckily, I knew what I wanted to order fairly quickly, so it wasn't really an issue. The people who work at Villa Capri, in my experience, were very friendly. And parking here was easy. Overall, I would rate my experience here a 5/5. I definitely enjoyed my visit to Villa Capri.

There should be no need to write an update. I see that my initial review was written about 5 years ago. This is about how they handle the transferral of totaled tabs to the credit card. When I go to the Houston area, I usually eat lunch at Ivett's twice a week - yes, it's that good. And it's doable because I tend to stay in their "Bay Area," which is south of the city near Space Center Houston and in the suburbs adjacent to large Galveston Bay. Here's what the deal is, and this happened last year and a year or two before that. When I get the bill, it's usually a number that has cents attached to it, thus an "uneven" sort of number. To this, I add a tip. If the final bill were to be $12.72, for example, I might add $2.28 to bring it to an even $15.00. (I've asked restaurant employees over the years if this is weird and they tell me they have customers who do this.) Fast forward to the charge hitting the credit card. In 2025, one charge went through a meaningless few cents higher and one charge went through without the tip altogether. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't know how the process works where the final bill is sent over to the credit card company. In this situation, I came out ahead. But that's not the point. I want the employees who were my servers to get their tips and get what I indicated on the copy that I signed. This same exact sort of scenario showed up a year or two before when I also visited twice ... with one lunch charge coming across without the tip. Another lunch charge must have been processed with an even dollar amount as the tip. Again, I came out ahead, if you even want to look at it that way, but I want the employee to get his or her tip. The price-quality-quantity here remains at 5 stars. That's why I have filed Ivett's away in my head. I've now landed on the pattern of lunch specials that I like in any given week - a chicken dish and the manicotti dish, so I come in for those. I did try the lasagna once and, since this is in the U.S. of A. and not fine dining, they use the thicker undulating sheets of pasta that I'm not a fan of. It's to be understood. It's what most Italian-American restaurants do. That dish might come in as a 4. I applaud Ivett's for being a small restaurant that is intent on serving its customers and its community. However, if the tip for that one customer's meal is $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11 because the customer is seeking to hit a "normal" looking final number, then it's $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11. And, if they don't enter the tip at all, then I feel bad because the employee didn't get their tip and it makes me feel cheap ... cheaper than I already am to some people. Fix this little clerical issue by instructing your employees how to do so ... and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you all (translation: y'all) the next time I'm in the area.

Along with that, I ordered the garlic cheese bread (with mozzarella on top) and finished with the tiramisu for dessert. The cilantro chicken pasta was every bit as good as the pictures an easy 10/10. It was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and had plenty of chicken. A lot of restaurants skimp on the meat, but not this place. The cheesy garlic bread was good as well. My only suggestion would be to toast it a little longer so it has more of that crispy texture. The tiramisu was also a 10/10 when it came to flavor. My only disappointment was the portion size. It was about the size of a small party dessert serving, much smaller than what I'd expect from a restaurant. I really hope they increase the portion because the taste was fantastic. As soon as the call connected, the lady asked if my reservation was for 8 people. I said no, I had just made a reservation for the following day at 11am and simply wanted to make sure everything looked fine on their side. She responded "oh okay," and never once mentioned there was any issue, overbooking, or possibility that our reservation would not be honored. We hung up, and naturally I believed everything was confirmed. The next morning, we arrived on time for our reservation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere already felt uncomfortable. The staff stared at us without greeting us until a woman finally approached and asked if we needed something. I gave the reservation name, and she looked through a notebook full of scribbled notes before saying she couldn't find it and would get the manager. A man came over, asked for my name again, and then bluntly stated, "We don't have you on the list. We're fully booked until 8pm." I was honestly shocked, especially because I had specifically called the night before to confirm everything. Instead of apologizing or trying to help resolve the situation, his demeanor felt cold, dismissive, and as though we were inconveniencing them simply by showing up for a reservation we had made and confirmed. He then stated, "We emailed you stating this." Because there was already a line forming behind us, I simply said "okay" and walked out. As we were walking to the car, I checked my email -- and sure enough, the "email" had been sent at 9:55am THAT SAME MORNING. Our reservation was for 11am. Cancelling a reservation barely an hour beforehand on Mother's Day, after I had already called to confirm the reservation the previous night, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. This was supposed to be our first time trying this restaurant, but unfortunately the experience and the way the situation was handled left a very sour impression before we even sat down.
