Very disappointing experience at Little Woodrow's EaDo. My friend was kicked out because staff claimed she was intoxicated, but I was with her the entire time and she had only had two beers. She wasn't stumbling, being disruptive, causing problems, or showing any obvious signs of being overly intoxicated. What made the situation even more frustrating was that there were other groups around us being significantly louder, yet we were the ones singled out. We were given no clear explanation for why she was being removed other than the claim that she was intoxicated. The whole situation felt unfair and left us feeling like we were being singled out or discriminated against for no apparent reason. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this place. Be aware that you could be asked to leave even when you're behaving appropriately and not causing any problems. read more

Came out for a last minute Sunday funday, and it was my first time t this location. I have been to many of their other locations, and I've enjoyed my experiences at all of them. I won't say they're known for having a large selection, but they do have a great layout in ambiance. The Edo location is located right across the street from the Dynamo stadium, and Daikan Park (Astros). Be forewarned, parking on an event day is awful. And it's also very expensive. If it's not an event day, I imagine it's much easier to find a spot and likely much cheaper. I was very lucky to find the one spot on the street that didn't require payment! That said if you park on the street, lock your doors, hide your shit, and make sure nothing can be seen from the windows. Why you ask? Read further? We were seated in the outdoor patio area out back, with an excellent view of Dynamo stadium and the street on which I parked. It's a relatively safe area, but we did watch one person walk by each car and look in the window to see what was inside. So be careful what you leave in your car. The outdoor patio has a ginormous slide, covered tables, some bar height, tables and a food truck. My friends were there before me so they had already opened a tab of the waitress, but since she took a wee bits to get back to the table I went ahead and walked inside to make my order. The bar is quite substantial, and runs a little on the slow side. They don't have a large diverse selection of drafts but they have pretty much something for anyone. Inside is well ventilated and has a bunch of space for tables and standing. They have tons of screens so if there's anything you're trying to watch it'll probably be on there. Prices are pretty standard. They do have event days so you might want to check their calendar to see what interests you. Overall seems like a good spot to chill, or watch a game or a fight. I would not necessarily choose this as a Sunday funday option during a game day for Dynamo or Astros, or any events going on at the Georgen R. Brown. Plan accordingly. read more

I've always been in the area of this place but one Sunday I needed a place to hang out while my partner attended a work event in the area. I came in and I was impressed by how large the venu was. I LOVE all the teTBS. There wer eat least four different games on at once, which means if your team is playing, you have a good chance of still seeing them. They have no food except beef jerky. This was tough because I definitely would have chosen my location differently had I known that, but it does look like you can bring in food from the food trucks that are parked. I didn't discover this from the waitress whom I asked about food, but rather from eventually seeing that other people had boxes of pizza or trays where they had consumed food. I of course, realized this too late. I appreciate they aren't snobby and an alcohol-only place. I was able to sit and peacefully enjoy my Sprite at a four-top alone. I could see this being rowdy for home games and there's definitely a good mix of friends, dates and singles coming through that make it a good place for everyone. read more

We went to this establishment yesterday for the World Cup game & waited outside for an hour to get to the front, just to be held at the entry at kickoff, aaaaall the way until the game ended (the whole 2 hours!) Granted, we had already been in, but they had made an announcement to check out their original location for more seating options, so went to see if there were more tables for the large party we were expecting. The bouncer was doing an extremely poor job of enforcing the line outside the bar, as there were many people trying to cut their way to the front, and nothing was being said to them neither by the bouncer nor the cops at the establishment walking by, until it eventually led to a brawl between many people at the entry way. At some point during the game, the business could've made an announcement that no more people would be let in, so we didn't waste our time waiting in line the entire game, but nothing was ever said! Other than the fire marshals were not allowing anymore entires, yet a handful of "VIP's" were being escorted in by the manager & by the cops themselves. I'm only giving a 1 star review because ZERO was not an option. Never returning to this establishment again. read more

First time at Woodrow's and I was impressed. The place is gorgeous and full of energy--patio games like Big Connect 4, Jenga, even a slide, plus a giant screen TV, food truck, and outdoor bar. At first I had to wait a minute at the bar, but once I found the right spot, service was fast and the bartenders were great. Drinks came quick, tasted good, and best of all--prices aren't inflated like a lot of spots in town. Shoutout to the ladies' room--it was spotless, smelled fresh, and every stall I checked was stocked. Small detail, but it shows they care about keeping things clean. They also have a second side patio that's more relaxed--perfect if you want to step away from the noise but still hear the music and actually have a conversation. Overall, Woodrow's gives you the best of both worlds: high-energy fun or chill vibes depending on what you're in the mood for. This place was an extension of the little Woodrow's we go to, the other one was super busy and we opted to visit the extension. We were the only ones there. It was nice to have some peace and quiet if you're into that sort of thing but I had expected that they would have at least a few patrons in there. Their beverage selection was also limited. What a fun bar! I had heard of Little Woodrow's but had not visited until we decided to go before a Dynamo game. The place itself is huge! You can sit at the bar or one of the many many tables. Came here to watch the Super Bowl last weekend and overall I was left with a very average impression on this venue. I personally had a great time, but that was because of the company I kept. The venue however, was just OK. I will give it to them that it was the Super Bowl so they were very packed and obviously that's going to make it harder to give good service, but we were seated outside and literally didn't have a server at all. Anything that we wanted to order we had to go to the bar or ask somebody multiple times to come and help us. The table was dirty when we first arrived and we had to ask two different times for someone to come and wipe it and they didn't do the best job when they did. I also just didn't really think the ambience was the best. Maybe it's just not my type of crowd, but I wasn't a huge fan of that. We had their pizza and it was pretty good though. I will give them that and again I personally had a great time, but I just think that was more due to the people that I was with versus the venue itself. read more

Service here is absolutely terrible, Kesley, currently working at 8:15 pm on 5/15 is the worst employee I have ever met. Refused to serve me while she has absolutely no line because I was with a party and couldn't fathom to make us shots or look for our tab. Utterly the most disrespectful unprofessional person I have ever met. I will never come to this location. Her alone has lost you customers. Update from 8:45 she is apparently illiterate too and can't read drink orders, yet refuses to remove her mistakes from the tab. Had three separate people order me an Espolón Repo neat, yet she always sent over tequila sodas. Been to so many of these locations. It's a convenient stop to and from Minute Maid park or if you're just having your shenanigan nights with your crew out here. Like the other locations, TVs and tables are a plenty for your entertainment. Games and dart boards are involved when you gotta get your competition on. I've never done that here though, just drinks and more drinks. Bartenders are cool although it's tough to get their attention when they're slammed. Also be sure they get their drinks accurate. I asked for a Jack on the rocks but got Jameson instead. Since I was already tipsy, I let it slide. But had I been sober, this could've been an issue. read more

A familiar name holding its own in EaDo nightlife. Indoor and outdoor space are both nice, with ample room in both. The outside patio has electric fans all over to keep it cool, which was really nice! I actually got a little bit chilly on a May night in Houston. There are also a couple of cornhole sets outside. Inside there are dart boards and a cell phone charging station for those late-night battery depletions. Loud nightlife music keeps the atmosphere fun as the night goes on. Lots of TVs around to keep up with sports or review the night's game. Booths line the window wall of the bar, and there are lots of tables and chairs around. But beware of the booths! There were tons of mosquitos lingering around, and I came home with 17 mosquito bites after that night. Other than the indoor mosquitos, the vibe was good and the selection was large. I had a frozen strawberry drink that was pretty delicious. Would probably go back, but be weary of the booths! read more

They have cool AstroTurf in their outdoor area with a permanent food "truck" right outside. They serve burgers, brisket, nachos, tacos, loaded fries, etc in the back corner of the outside patio area of the bar! If you don't like those options, the best thing about this place is that they allow outside food so you can bring your goodies with you!!! They have plenty of restaurants nearby so bring what you please!! The indoor has a huge open bar area and a ton of TV screens.. literally there are probably 4-5 large screens on one wall above the bar, with 4 more large screens in the middle of the interior seating area (between the bar and the tables) and another 6 medium sized screens on both sides of the seating area. You can literally catch every game in one place here! The atmosphere is awesome with the right amount of energy. The bartenders are great and super friendly, and so is the wait staff. The fans have been great - we are here with the Houston Seahawk Fans but the other fans have come by to chat and shake our hand after a good game (win or lose) and to tell us how loud we are during the Seahawks games! =) The joys of football. Reid, the GM, has been accommodating and wonderful.. so if you're looking for a place to host viewing parties, general parties, or to just hang out with friends and watch a game (or several at the same time).. this is the place to be! For what this place is, I thoroughly enjoyed the service. We were bar hopping and found a seat outside. We were well taken care of and there was a discount on Karbach beers. We drank for a little to nothing and met some really cool people before we went to a concert. I would definitely stop at this Little Woodrow's location again when I'm in the area for sure. read more

I know this is a late post but I felt it is important to post I In hopes to make corrections. We visited this reboot of a bar for St Patrick's Day. I expected a crowd, no problem, but Woodrow's has to do a better job to be prepared. Two bartenders at outside bar with a 45 minute to an hour wait in line. They ran out of high noon seltzers by 2pm. They ran out of Nutrl seltzers by 3 pm, unless of course you walk outside and stand in line for 45 minutes??? No toilet paper, paper towels or hand soap in the ladies restroom! Support staff arrived about 5 pm and finally some soap, TP, paper towels are added. Again I expected a crowd, but some of these items are unacceptable in an establishment. I hope some of the items are fixed especially for major events bc the social atmosphere is great. read more
