First time coming to Neil's Bahr and I must say it was a really cool spot. It was a Tuesday so it wasn't packed which gave me a chance to enjoy the experience. At the bar there wasn't really a menu and I wasn't offered one so I just stuck with beer. They have a bunch of racks with classic comic books and areas with tv's with Nintendo 64's and other game consoles. They had a room with a ping pong table which was a great activity if you are here on a date. Overall very laid back and a great place to have a drink.

At #neilsbahr glancing around at the paintings of ricks face (from #rickandmorty ) I knew I was home. This is one of the best #bars in Houston, in my opinion. Solely based off the atmosphere and the unlimited games you could spend an eternity here and never get bored. It's a magical place to bring friends or even meet new ones where you can bond over comic books or get severely agitated in an intense game of ping pong. Without a doubt this is a place that everyone needs to visit. IG: @hiddenfoodgems

Amamzing place for a great time! Celebrated a friends bday here on Saturday and had an amazing time!

After Neil identified himself as the black shirt gentleman and said apologies are not accepted. He will have his men beat "our ass up".

***WELCOME TO NEILS FINEST*** I had a business trip in Houston and was thrilled to find a bar with ping-pong and arcade games! First time coming to this bar it was a great experience, next day I went to this bar it escalated to the worst experience I've had in Texas. Owner of the bar didn't take any of his customer service rules into affect. He took the words of his bartender and immediately rounded his employees up to intimidate me with the classic "Get going or we will fuck you up". I thought the situation was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary to approach the customer in such a manner. I Understand bars deal with intoxicated customers all the time, but I was coherent, needed a beer, and sincerely apologized about dropping a glass from my hotel in their parking lot. I'm not sure what's more embarrassing, me bitching about being kicked out of a dive bar, or the owner rounding up his boys to deliver a "cobra kai" threat to kick my ass if I don't leave immediately. I guess this is what they mean by don't mess with Texas, or else he will get 10 more hands to put me down, thus proving their testosterone levels are Superior to mine. As a tourist I thought ping pong here would be fun for me and my employees visiting. I was wrong. Very unprofessional and poor business ownership. Any locals reading this review, this is an easy bar to cash a lawsuit with; take some aspirin, Stay sober, catch a shiner from his bad ass crew and get a decent pay out from Neil's pocket. (Not legal advice, just a tip from my previous experience)

Let's go to Popgun I call Shotgun…read moreYou think that you're an active shooter Really? And with what gun? Last night I got into your place and I got gun Went to the river and right into it I dropped gun So go see if it's in its hiding place, you'll find there's not gun And here's to when the only guns in USA are Popguns. One of the best collectibles stores we've ever been to. But let's talk about guns in general. If we want, we should fill our lives with as many fake guns, play guns, toy guns, anime guns, and fun guns as we need, as we want, as we can handle. And all the crappy Van Damme action movies we can get, shooting ranges too if you want, AirSoft, LaserQuest, Paintball, you name it. All of it. Bring it on. What we shouldn't do is have actual guns, at all, anywhere. I come from a place where there aren't any actual guns, basically, and nobody gets shot. Shootings just aren't a thing. Sure we stab each other, we're a violent bunch. Fist fights, yep. Broken bottles in the face, ew. Welcome to the UK. Bunch of hooligans. But what we don't do, is shoot each other. Guaranteed, if there was an abundance of guns legally for sale, we all would. No doubt. It's not an American thing. It's a gun thing. Get rid of the guns, wait a decade or so, you'll notice an eerie lack of shootings in the US. Already happened in Australia. It's blatantly obvious, not sure why it would even be a debate. Hard to debate in this country because people are just... so... d.... do me a favour and let's talk about the store now. Couldn't believe it when this place opened up in a lovely neighbourhood not far from where we live. Right off 59. It's so great for kids and collectors and those who are into this stuff. They have normal business hours but they're often working late and at all kinds of hours, because the place is a real labour of love. Easily one of the best collectibles stores I've ever seen. Really adds to the heart and soul of Montrose and West U and Upper Kirby. If you're into this kind of thing you really have to check it out. And if you need something popped, whatever that may be, I have a gun you can use. It's experienced, it's popped many things before. It used to treat them like collectibles, like notches on bedposts and such, but not anymore. I can't even remember how many pops anymore, but what I can say is, once you pop, you can't stop.

It smells like hell in there (sweaty and musty) and it's literally just a bunch of funko pops.read more
