After reporting a furnace issue (ignitor continually activating after burner was ignited and blower…read morerunning) to my home warranty company, they sent a contractor technician. He diagnosed that the blower needed to be replaced. (I am a certified aero engineer, so am familiar with ignition and burner systems) When questioned about the continuously activating ignitor, he indicated that the continuously running ignitor was "normal." When I sowed him online that the continuously activating ignitor was not normal and could be dangerous, he didn't 52 minutes researching Google on his cell phone and did not change his diagnosis or estimate fir cleaning the fan and replacing the blower that was working fir an additional $240 over the warranty's initial service fee. I called highly recommended Air Systems Solutions in Ventura, CA who arranged for a technician visit the next day. He was very courteous and did a very thorough job and replaced the ignition panel. Aside from the part itself, the service fee was less than half of the original contractor's estimate. Highly recommend work from Air Systems Solutions in Ventura CA.

I…read moreexplained to the operation manager of A+Refrigeration that the solar system would be going to inspection, but he had his crew install the condenser and piping in such a way that the solar company would not be able to have their system pass inspection. I asked the A+ operations manager to correct his installation but he would not respond. I has to find another refrigeration company to correct A+'s mistakes at my expense. Also the A+ crew was rushed and poorly supervised, leaving caulk on our patio.

Responded promptly to my initial contact, through multiple visits and calls (I am an engineer) worked with me (lots of knowledgeable suggestions and recommendations but never pushing anything on me) to come up with the system best for my needs. Ended up at the low end of four bids from HVAC contractors. Complete replacement of old HVAC system with state of the art heat pump system, removed all of the old duct work and installed the new system with meticulous attention to detail, making sure everything was just right. At the end of the week, a bit sad to see him go. That's when you know you have the right person looking out for you. Crocker came out and inspected my HVAC system. A few days later I received a phone call from Jim who wanted to personally come out and take a look at things - no charge. Jim walked me through the HVAC system, pointing out what was incorrect and what needed to be done in order to fix the issues and be up to code. This company will make you bankrupt! I called them for a tune up of our AC unit in March and they…read moresent a technician who made the system work after changing numerous parts. The total bill was nearly $900. We did not use the system until June and discovered that it did not start. I suspected a failure of one of the numerous parts that were replaced and anticipated that the warranty for the parts would cover the service call. Their technician came in the morning and started to replace some of the same parts that were installed three months earlier. He also replaced a motherboard, contactor, coil (both were brand new), and took apart the unit covers and the thermostat. After four hours, the technician declared that he had to stop as he was to miss his lunch time. As he was leaving, he mentioned that the problem was a short in two wires ... and that the blower motor fried during his testing procedure. He never bothered to reinstall the covers or the thermostat. The bill for his "service" is $1,000. When the technician left, the AC was in worse shape than when he arrived, and Crocker expects me to pay to make my system inoperable. If you want to have Crocker come to destroy your system, bill you for unneeded parts in the hope that you will install a new system, then Crocker is who to call. Otherwise, save your money and call an HVAC business that is not a crook.
