A local place on the corner of main street that lacks night life, ok granted it was a Wednesday night. The centerpiece of this restaurant in my opinion is the beautiful horse shoe shaped bar in the middle of the restaurant. I typically enjoy a nice clean and clear bar so you can fall into the feeling of the restaurant and see what is happening all around. This bar had bottles of wines lining the bar, in my opinion I would remove the bottles and allow for a more open feel. Personally I felt that the bottles created a barrier between me and the bar tender. The outside tables are tables typically for 2 or 4 people with banquet seating and then chairs. Oh, my God How's this boy treating you? Very good wonderful started The service was attentive but not over bearing which created a relaxed feeling.. I was looking for a wine and cheese bar for a night our for myself. I wanted a place that I have not been to before and yelp directed me here Wines on Aug range from 15 and up for a glass which is not outrageous in price. They had a nice selection of wines and I stepped out of ny own comfort zone of a cab and tried the house Pinot Noir accompanied by the B6 board. Overall I was satisfied with the meat and cheese selection and baguette that was served with it had a nice oil on it. Presentation was well done with one exception in my mind, the breads ticks came in a package. Presentation factor went down with that. Take one of the small wife carafe used to serve the wine and present it in that. Overall I felt something was missing but could not put my finger on it. Pricey but delicious and a great bar area... I've been here now twice - both times I was by myself for dinner and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. I grabbed a seat at the bar both times (though I was offered a table) and was quickly helped. Great wine list and when I was hesitating over two wines, they let me try both to decide. Food is very good. Their cracker pizza option (I don't remember the right name for this) looks like a broken pizza but it was so good. Burger is also great. And don't leave without trying dessert. Scrumptious! I also loved their simple olive oil with toasted bread. This is simple, but it was very high quality oil on perfectly toasted bread. I could have eaten an entire loaf! I wasn't rushed even though I was alone. Kind expensive depending on what you order but food is high quality with good ingredients. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

This place is super cute!!! The staff was super friendly and attentive. We didn't have a reservation but they accommodated 4 adults and 3 toddlers. The arancini was SO SO good and cheesy on the inside. The marinara sauce on the side, chefs kiss! My main dish was the clam vongole pasta which was creamy with the perfect spices. We were the last customers and never felt rushed, in fact they suggested the olive oil cake which was incredible, especially if you like a more citrusy taste. Came here on a Sunday without any reservation and did not have to wait before we were seated at a table. This is a small town restaurant and seats maybe 10 tables, but they also have a pretty spacious bar. Usually this place is pretty filled by lunch time, so might want to make a reservation to be sure. Our server was nice and respectful, but maybe a bit new bc he forgot a couple of things; overall not a bad service experience. What I loved was the cheese plate; the cold cut meats were unique and so were the cheese, which were very flavorful. Even though the amount wasn't large, we felt like it was well worth the money and really brings out what is in Spanish tapas. We also got the deviled eggs, salmon toast, fried chicken, and spritz, all of which were very satisfying. Overall, the price was fairly reasonable and we left feeling like we had a pretty great experience! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and I'm really glad we found a great Spanish tapas bar so close! read more

We have been seated immediately upon the arrival. Later on, server moved our table twice (without much of a being apologetic) to accommodate guests on our both sides. The restaurant's wine list is great, offering a very nice selection by the glass. Food was good as usual. But the service let us down for the whole night. Absolutely terrible service! Ambience was snobby and pretentious. I made reservations for a birthday dinner here for a party of 5, only to have them tell me that they had a reservation mishap and we would have to wait 45 minutes! We were asked to sit outside and it just rained. The hostess was rude and didn't even apologize for this "mishap". She ignored us after. We were told that they would call when our table was ready. However, I was not surprised that I never received that call. I wish I can tell you that the food was great but we never got the chance to try. I really like the aesthetic of the bar - it's well decorated, well thought out and I love the little pass through window from the kitchen. They had a lot of staff, so we were well tended to. A few things I thought odd - empty, dirty plates weren't cleared regularly and between our apps and entrees they had us keep our dirty silverware rather than replace. I asked for a new set so they brought only for me. My friend asked for a set so she was brought a new set. The guys didn't ask, so they didn't get. Towards the end of the night another server came over and she was more on top of things, so maybe the others were newer. The food was pretty good - I found the salads while they had great flavor were both overdressed. The cheese and meat board had a nice selection, though could have used some nuts or fruit or something to make the board more complete. The deviled eggs were good and I didn't try the arancini but those who did liked them. The tomato sauce they came with was delicious! The market fish was cod - oddly served on a too small plate. It was cooked well but definitely needed some salt or more seasoning (true for everything on the plate). It came with a crostini with an enormous amount of butter slathered on - a bit odd. The stuffed squash was my favorite thing on the table. It was fall on a plate. The burger and chicken were enjoyed. Boro6 has been on our list for a while and I'm really glad we tried it. I've now been to Boro6 twice, and both times were exceptional. The first visit was for their New Year's Eve event and the second was recently for brunch. See below for details on each experience. New Year's Eve (Dec. 31, 2021) - Wow! This night was great! We were greeted by an employee (or owner?) who was eager to receive us and distribute NYE wear (top hats, 2022 glasses, noise makers). The night was fun but, as expected because of covid, low key (pandemic protocols were still in place like plexiglass dividers). Nevertheless, everyone seemed to have fun! The food and drink were all great, and this is the night I learned about Canederli--an amazing Italian Speck dumpling served in broth. Their rendition was fantastic! Sunday Brunch (March 2022) - My first brunch at Boro6 was equally pleasing. I ordered the Brunch Burger, which was yummy! Tony had their croissant breakfast sandwich, which he reported to be yummy. For a side dish, we ordered the rice balls (Arancini), and they were quite tasty! Final thoughts: Hastings-on-the-Hudson, as a whole, doesn't have a great number of restaurants, but this one definitely sits at the top. Hosted a special Birthday Party this weekend in Boro6's B6 Soirée room. Our decision was mostly based on food and ambience. However given the food and ambiance everything was very reasonably priced. Worked with Paul to set everything up which was super easy. There were around 20 people which the room very comfortably accommodated even with people getting up and moving around to chat. We selected starters and main dishes as well as some "small bites" and a dessert, check out the custom menu they provided, printed on nice card stock and included details of party. Food was served family style. A couple of each dish was placed on each table, and serving ourselves was super easy. All the foods were yummy but my favorite was the Shakahouka which they served with toasty bread awesomeness!!! We had a dedicated service person Miriam, who was wonderful, attentive and able to anticipate our needs. I was a little worried about parking. But there is a municipal lot directly behind the building and street parking as well as an additional municipal lot across the street. The Birthday Girl was very happy! and our guests kept saying how great everything was. I would absolutely recommend hosting other events here and we will be coming back for dinner!!! read more

Worst Service Ever I love the menu and the vibe of B6, but the service is inexcusably bad. My wife and I made a reservation for two at the bar. Upon arrival, the bar tender explained that another person was waiting at the bar for their table and that we would have to wait a few minutes. This is just poor management as it means two parties waiting to order, but we smiled and agreed. 10 minutes later we were seated at the bar. 20 more minutes then passed without staff speaking to us at all, despite making eye contact with several. There were two people just putting away dishes behind the bar and no one even brought us water. We left without any acknowledgment from the staff. This was our second visit with very poor service. Obviously, we won't be back. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go when I take the train up to visit family. I've had brunch and dinner here multiple times and just love it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we often find ourselves in an interesting conversation with them. The Tuscan tomato soup is so good. I've had the Intercontinental brunch sandwich which is yummy but a little too rich for me that early in the day. I love their choices of Natural/Organic/Biodynamic wines. Normally I wouldn't care much about this but the wines I've tried were excellent. I love the bar and the tables can be a bit close to each other but overall I love the local vibe here. read more

Boro6 has been sitting in my bookmarks literally for years, patiently waiting for the day when I would finally pay it a visit. Along the way, a few of my friends both on an off of Yelp had been here with great things to say. I had a pretty fluid LDW in terms of plans, so I thought it would be a good idea to grab some brunch. I figured this was the perfect opportunity to finally try out Boro6, so off we went. Boro6 has a somewhat unassuming exterior, but the interior is really cute. It's not a large space, with a bar/production area in the center of the restaurant and tables lining the perimeter. The decor is bright - lots of light blues and greys which are accented with upholstered banquettes and pillows which give it a homey feel (the large windows letting in a lot of natural light only helped it). The decor was very charming - they really hit a home run with the aesthetics. We were there for brunch, and their menu contained a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items. I started with a Bloody Mary, because brunch; it was quite tasty, not too over the top with the garnishes, but just enough bite to make it enjoyable. I thought it was a nice touch that they provided a small bottle of Tobasco sauce so you can control the spice. We decided to start with a couple of small bites, namely the deviled eggs and the arancini. I did not partake in the eggs, but I enjoyed the latter; crispy on the outside with a good amount of cheese and rice on the inside. For my main meal I leaned more towards breakfast and got the B6 Waffle. This was served with syrup and my choice of fruit compote or prosciutto and parm. I thought the latter sounded interesting so I went with that. The waffle was fine - it was dense which I didn't mind, but I didn't think there was enough syrup to compensate - it resulted in it being a smidge on the dry side. While I appreciated the adventurous choice of offering prosciutto, I didn't think it was the best combination overall - perhaps if it was prepared crispy it would have been better. There was nothing wrong with the prosciutto that was served, I just didn't find it to be the best combination from my perspective. Service was good - everyone was friendly and added to the experience. Overall, while I wasn't blown away by my meal, I thought that the offerings that Boro6 gave were solid. I would be interested in returning for dinner as well as exploring more of their brunch options. read more

Love love loved this place! I would always pass Boro6 when I would go to a different restaurant in the area and I always told myself I'd try it one day. Finally stopped in for dinner a few weeks ago and fell in love. It's super quaint and intimate and it's location looks like the set of a hallmark movie. We were seated right away(i suggest making a reservation as it's small and gets packed). The restaurant has a beautiful interior with booth seating wrapped around the room and a big bar taking over the center. They played swanky vibey music which matched the dimly lit ambiance. They have a fabulous menu and an even more impressive wine menu. I haven't heard of half the wines on their list, however our waiter told us they were specialty wines from their designated areas in Europe. Our food was amazing. We got the chorizo links, potato pancake and arancini balls to start and they were phenomenal. We really wanted to try their amazing charcuterie boards but we figured it would be too much for two people considering we were getting dinner. My entree (roasted half chicken) was probably the best roasted chicken I've ever had. The skin was crispy and had a perfect salty flavor, while the inside was juicy and tender. Dessert was another trip- we had the gelato stuffed brioche, which was a first in my book. To my surprise it was delicious-and I will go back again and again. Really enjoyed my time at this wine bar. From the service, to the setting and ambience. I regret not trying the cheese board, so I definitely intend on coming back here for it. The perfect brunch spot. They offer a bottomless for 30 dollars. And of course an assorted wine collection , we had the the Grüner Vertliner - it's a white citrusy wine from Austria, Hungary and the Czech, Slovak regions and is a real "foodie" grape variety. I enjoyed it. The Tuna Nicoise, it was very flavorful it's a cooled dished. This place makes me want to try everything on their menu. She went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and moved us to another table, as the initial seating was very uncomfortable (squeezed between two other parties). She also was very patient and allowed us to choose the perfect wine to go with our meal. The ambiance is great, very intimate and romantic vibe (dim lighting). We had the best experience at Boro6. If you are interested in understanding "natural" wines, this is the place to do it while having a great meal. Alana, our waitress (as well as all other staff throughout the night) were so wonderfully easy to talk to and always attentive to all of our needs no matter how busy the restaurant got or how many questions I had. (I'm chatty when I drink :) As a wine shop manager, I am always hoping any restaurant I go to has a by-the-glass wine list that will last throughout the meal. Many fall short...but Boro6 succeeds! The bread is extraordinary. The octopus perfectly seared. The cured meat & cheese options top-notch and the arugula, corn, pea and farro salad (I added the seared chorizo) so perfect with a glass (or 2 :) of the Trousseau. My s/o and I found this restaurant through the michelean website and decided to book a table for my birthday. Excited to try somewhere new and traveled from Mahwah, NJ. They have WAY too many tables. This was not ADA accessible. They had to pull the table out in order for me to scoot into the booth side against the window. The tables are so close you feel like you're having dinner with the person next to you. Less than ideal. We ordered the arancini to start. They charge more just to have the marinara with it... really? I ordered the roasted cauliflower which was drenched in the tahini dressing so the entire plate was taken over with tahini. There's nothing else to break up this flavor. Very one dimensional as far as taste goes. He had the burger and said it was "slammin." Drinks were delish, I had the dirty chai martini. It was just disappointing that this space has such a nice vibe but they over pack the space with tables so they can accommodate more people and bring in money. Not worth the trip. read more

After coming to this delicious spot many times (birthdays and friend dinners) I hosted a party for 23 colleagues in their event space on the side of the main restaurant. I could not have asked for a better and more perfect dinner. Paul and his staff were so very attentive to our needs, the food was perfect family style and of the same caliber as their regular menu - and of course the wine delicious. Yoooo Clerksrat back with another tasty review. So Mrs. Clerksrat and myself decided to take a trip up the Hudson to Hastings on Hudson and enjoy the good Sunday. We decided to stop into this Boro6 Wine Bar for brunch. Now we had been here in the past and were blown away with the cheese board as they gave a ton for the price. Fast forward to this trip and wow what the heck. We started off with booze because, Sunday. Mimosa/Bellini $10 each or bottomless for $25..: no brainer. We also did the deviled eggs as an appetizer to get a base for the good food. Now I'm old school, if you offfer me bottomless for 90 mins I'm getting 90 mins. I figured 3 and I'd make the money work. Well before I got my first drink, out the appetizer came. So apparently it's easier to make a deviled egg than pour juice and Prosecco together... bad sign to how this was going to go. Deviled egg was meh. Like I'm from Florida so a real Florida man knows deviled eggs, what's up Publix I see you. It wasn't really bad, just tasted boring. We got 3, we ate 2. It was so meh we literally didn't want the 3rd. While we were discussing how average the eggs were, Mike our waiter, surprised us with the drink we ordered 15 minutes before. Bellini tasted good, and Mrs. Clerksrat was happy with her mimosa so maybe this was going to turn around. Main courses came, I had a prosciutto sandwich, she had the farro salad. The prices were fair, $17 and $16 respectively and the place has a swank factor so it was fine. Mrs. Clerksrat liked her salad and I dabbled with a bite. It was pretty solid for arugula and faro, better than I could do. Then came my sandwich. Now I will not shade this place for the bread. It's next level hood, but the sandwich kind of sucked. Now again as mentioned I have lived Publix life so I know a good sandwich, but this just felt "off". Maybe it was too salty maybe it lacked something acidic (I watched The Bear I know this) but it was meh. I figured hey, food is meh but let's rock out on some booze and worst case I'd order some cheese since I know that's good. Mike had other plans for me. When he came over to bus the table and squirt some hazardous cleaner next to my food, I asked for another Bellini. He let me know he'd get on that, and then proceeded to talk to the only other table in the place, head behind the bar and drink some lemonade (or for what I know my Bellini), chat it up with the busser, do another lap and chat with THE ONLY OTHER TABLE. Finally after I checked the clock, 25 minutes was too long, I asked for the check. I asked to remove the bottomless because 1 isn't my bottom. He said ok, then proceeded to go and magically make a mimosa and Bellini for us - it literally took him 30 seconds. When I told him I ordered that 25 minutes ago and we requested to remove the bottomless, he acted surprised. In general, it seemed like he, along with the bartender (who oddly looked a lot like him?), didn't want to be working and viewed customers as nusuiances. Overall the ambiance is dope, the cheese and bread isn't a joke, but the service SUCKS. Don't be a Mike, $70 down the drain on crap service and average food. Go there for a glass of wine, sit at the bar and let that be it. I don't leave negative reviews often but this place earned it. I'm giving the place 2 stars primarily for bread and cheese. I don't blame Mike because I don't think he likes his job, if there is a career to stand around and talk he'd be amazing. read more

And if you cruise down Warburton Ave., full of eateries from Tacos on one end to Antoinette's Patisserie- several blocks down, you'll notice Boro brings a slightly unique spin to the strip. Boro is small and modern with graceful touches and a large wrap-around bar. Thinking back, Menu while we were there on a Tuesday afternoon, was small but had a few nice things to choose from including a decent list of wines. Our Cheese Plate was simple but good (I requested for the Charcuterie to be placed as far possible from the Cheeses and Boro6 was kind enough to take it up a notch and placed the meats in a separate board). My Tuscan Kale Salad on the other hand, was freaking delicious with shaved Parmesan, crushed Almonds, Olive Oil and Lemon Dressing and wanted another plate and another after that! However, a few things struck a note that day and noticed a "Tuna Salad" item listed and wished it was what I hope for- not what it actually is. But I was curious and asked- (anyway) if the salad is made with Ahi Tuna and remember our server turning it down quick and said, "no- it's actually Tuna Fish". Didn't expect a tuna fish dish to be offered here- that's all. But who knows- menu may have taken a nicer turn since then. To add, Boro6 is kitchen-less. And odd because while we were there, I never really saw anyone 'going to the kitchen' and noticed all the food prep, done behind the bar. Not a huge turn off- seems like their concept is working for them. In retrospect though, service was warm and friendly and wouldn't mind returning to nibble on Cheese and sip Rosé all day. read more

We came here for my birthday brunch over the winter and I swooned over the space and the food! Even in winter the light is beautiful and the plates of food are ever so photogenic. We enjoyed shaved meat and eggs on toast along with bellini's and even decided to share an ice cream sundae which was an absolute treat! Curiously overrated. This place has gotten love from the New York Times and Michelin, but after three visits over the last few years, I'm not quite sure why. The food is good but not exceptional, and the service is hit or miss. Some of our servers have been fine, but some have been totally spaced out. It doesn't feel as management has taken on the responsibility of teaching the servers about courtesy and attentiveness. Also, rather than having a vestibule, the establishment has put up a curtain near the door, which provides no insulation whatsoever when the weather is frigid and windy. All of this makes you feel as if the management is penny-pinching and failing to pay attention to the kind of details that you need to think about if you want to run a truly excellent restaurant. I'm sure we'll visit again, since it's conveniently located, and I'm hoping they'll improve. I'll update my review if they do. read more

We waited about 15 minutes for our reserved table (there is nowhere to wait or sit, so had to stand in the doorway) and then after we were seated and were basically ignored for another 10 minutes. It is REALLY loud - not what I thought in terms of ambiance. The service was spotty - again, I was expecting an elevated experience and did not get it. The wine was very good, as was the Caprese with burrata and the lamb main course.
