The end result of my eyebrow threading and tinting service was good. The color is a brown that complements my skin tone/natural eyebrow color and the threading did a good job of shaping directly around my brows. Amber was pleasant and conversational during the quick 45 min or so service. I must mention however that this was our third time scheduling in order to get this done. The original appointment was canceled a few hours before its time on a Saturday due to Amber having a flat tire. No problem. We rescheduled for the next day- Sunday at 9am. I moved some things around and went to the closed shop at 9am on Sunday and no one showed up. I politely texted and called once but got zero answer at all the entire day as to this no show. I politely called the next day, Monday, and although there was no apology or explanation for her no show at the appointment, we arranged for the appointment to be Wednesday afternoon. I showed up at the time we agreed upon and the service went without a hitch. It was $30 for the deposit and $45 for the rest of the service totaling $75 without tip. No physical cards accepted but all of the electronic payment forms are accepted. Other than the scheduling issues, I am happy with the service. I wasn't told not to wear anything like sunscreen beforehand and only told during the service that I should not have as it reduces the ability of the tint to stick to the hair, so I think moving forward some pre-instructions as well as aftercare instructions would be nice to provide to clients. Overall, good technique but some improvements can be made regarding professionalism. read more

My first appointment with Jazmine at Cilia left my brows looking like a million bucks. And yet, I cannot recommend this salon. I had to cancel the night before my second appointment because I had been exposed to Covid by my fiancé; we'd been together all weekend and the entire day of the positive test. I reached out to reschedule as soon as we saw the test results. Amber was unconcerned and wrote that I could move my appointment if I was okay with losing my deposit--I might as well have been a no-show. Still, even with her lack of accommodation, I wouldn't risk the health of the aesthetician and the clients after me just to keep my deposit. That's dangerous and unethical. I'm concerned about their lack of protocol when it comes to Covid, especially with the new variants. Amber's blasé tone was as striking as her unwillingness to accommodate a client who reached out with health and safety concerns; it also raises red flags about their hygiene standards and sanitation. I'm appalled and grossed out. Not only did they forego the remainder of my fee because I'm now unwilling to reschedule knowing how dismissively they handle health concerns, they've also lost me as a client and gained a poor review for their lack of hygiene protocols. *Update* A day after I posted this review, Amber contacted me to refund my deposit. I sincerely appreciate this gesture and added a star to my review because of it. Still, their lack of Covid safety protocols and the fact that this was even an issue to begin with still gives me pause. The safety and wellbeing of clients and staff is paramount and, sadly, I don't see it reflected in their business practice. I've been getting my lashes done for a few years now and I must say I felt so comfortable and happy after leaving today! I got a hybrid fill and they look great!!! I've had experiences at other places where I leave and my lashes don't look as full as I like them to (I like them looking bold). Wow they're full and look great!!!! I had my lashes done somewhere else 3 weeks ago, and came here for the hybrid fill. I'm definitely happy with how they look and look forward to seeing how well the retention is. Today was my third time getting my lashes lifted at Cilia Lash. The first two times it was done by Amber, and the third time it was done by Damian. All 3 times I have been very very happy with my experience and the result of my lash lift!! They do a very thorough job. They are gentle, take their time (but are also efficient) and the price is very reasonable compared to other places in my opinion. Although I don't do it consistently, I choose to get my lashes lifted because they are long but straight, and I don't want the expense/maintenance/ensuing lash damage that comes with constant lash extensions. It's hard to find places that are good with lash lifts because most focus on extensions. But Cilia Lash is awesome with it, and I can only assume that they're great at their other services as well! I will definitely go back again a few times before some special events i have in the upcoming months! I definitely recommend their services, especially for the lash lift! read more

I got an eyelash lift and tint. My lashes good pretty good but the process took a full two hours. Also was very uncomfortable. There were multiple times there was something in eye. Lastly, the primer they use is straight alcohol on your eyelids & burned very badly. Overall, I have had much better experiences at other salons. I wouldn't go here again. read more

Well, I don't normally leave reviews, so when I say the customer service at this place is TERRIBLE, I mean it. I mean, the lack of employee/owner professionalism is on another level. I got a lash lift & tint for my wedding. One of the first things Jaylyn said to me upon arriving was to not have "high expectations" with a lash lift. As a first-time customer and someone who has never had this done before, what's that supposed to mean? When she finished the appointment, I was surprised to see that my lashes had barely lifted. She said to give it until the next day, as they'd likely lift more, so I trusted her, paid, and went on my way. They hadn't changed at all into the next day, and it didn't look like I got a lash lift, so I was upset that I'd just paid $95 for what felt like no reason. I called and got a hold of Amber. She told me that they don't offer refunds, but she assured me that they'd get me in for another appointment to fix them before my wedding. I was texting Jaylyn to arrange this second appointment, then she suddenly ghosted me, and I didn't hear back from her about the appointment. I reached out again after my wedding and asked for a refund since they failed to get me in again before my wedding. Jaylyn said she doesn't offer refunds, and she said that I actually shouldn't have gotten my lashes lifted right away again anyway (mind you, when I asked her in our initial texts if it was ok to get them lifted right away again, both her and Amber assured me it was safe, yet Jaylyn suddenly changed her opinion later on - likely as an excuse for disregarding my text about a second appointment). Furthermore, she claimed I signed a waiver with a supposed "no refund" policy that she actually never presented to me in the salon - I only signed my name upon paying. I also saw no info on the website nor upon booking my appointment about no refund policies, because I checked this. So she instead offered to give me another appointment, which I declined, as I was disappointed with the service thus far and wasn't interested in anything else besides the lash lift, which I only got for the purpose of my wedding. I asked for a refund again, and at this point, any other good business would have offered that in a situation like this! Jaylyn then said that she would have her ATTORNEY call me (lol - over a lash lift) about the paperwork I'd supposedly signed and her refund policies. Needless to say, I never heard from an attorney (shocker), and she never showed me this paperwork that I "signed", as I'd asked to see. I was finally given a 50% refund after back and forth calling and texting with both Jaylyn and Amber (who were both rude and unprofessional). SUCH a ridiculous situation over something that could have simply been avoided with good customer service and understanding. Oh, and one more thing - they said more than once that lash lifts work best on people with long, thick eyelashes. I have those, so if that's the case, then why didn't it work on mine?? And I've spoken to others experienced in lashes since this, and they've all said that my lashes would have lifted perfectly if it was done properly. Awful customer service and follow up. The PROVIDER no-showed for 2 appointments! And still has my deposit... I was very excited to try eyebrow lamination. I chose Cilia Lash and made an online appointment for 6pm and put down a deposit. I arrived and no one was there. The sign on the door says they close at 5. I called and the person who answered (owner, I assume?) answered and was apologetic. She said it was a glitch in the scheduling software and offered to reschedule with me 2 days later at 5:30 and to discount my service. I arrived today at 5:22 for my appointment and once again, no one is here. I have called 3x and have had no answer. I have texted and there is no response. For 2 days, I have had my time wasted, AND they still have my scheduling deposit. Clearly not interested in customer service, general manners, or making money. I will be going elsewhere and I will make sure everyone knows about my experience. My coworkers and friends were super excited to see my results. Bummer that this business is so flaky! read more

I had a fill with Damien. He is WONDERFUL!!! I am new to the area and the search for a lash stylist has been very difficult. I moved from the West Coast and had one fantastic place doing my lashes for 5 years. Lovely Lashes in Las Vegas. Damien easily went over her work and added his own touch. The result, Beautiful. The salon is clean and stylish and Very Comfortable. Located in lovely Shaker Heights. Did I mention the prices are fair. I've found a lot of places in this area charging way too much. Being a Flight Attendant allows me to travel all over the world and I know when someone is over charging. This salon is a great place to go get your beauty!! read more

I had an appt with Amber Gonzalez for microblading April 16, 2022. After telling her I never had this done and since she was the professional she chose to do just shading for my brows. I always research things intensely before I do it. I was surprised she didn't do a combination of shading and hair strokes. But she was supposed to be the professional and I heard good things from my hair stylist about her. She said I wouldn't look good with hair strokes because I didn't have enough eyebrow hair. But yet she has befores and after with 3D blading on her website. The woman had NO eyebrows, just a pencil line. On her Facebook she has before and after photos of a woman with almost no brows as well. She didn't explain there were other options and I told her this was my first time. After my appointment I looked at probably 100 before and after. Women with less eyebrows than me were getting combination or all hair strokes. They all looked great. I also saw a friend's before and after from a local salon. She had much less eyebrows than me and they did combination. They looked awesome! When I look at my eyebrows I see my black hairs showing through a light brown that is barely there. 2/3 of the ink is GONE. My eyebrows look like the skin on a dog with mange, just awful. The ends are uneven, my right side is noticeably longer. I have several tattoos, so I know my skin takes ink very well. On june 1, 2022 I called her to make an appointment for the 4-6 week touch up. She said she could get me on that Saturday and to text her my name so she could send the link to me again to make an appointment. I sent my name as soon as I ended the call, I got nothing. June 2, 2022 I texted Amber that I hadn't received the link, still nothing. June 4, 2022 I tried calling, no answer or voicemail. I texted again, and finally she responded. Now I had to wait 3 WEEKS for an appt. June 25, 2022 at 10am. The day before I got a weird message appointment reminder for LA Compton at 10pm?? She knew I lived in Ohio per our text conversation. I called her and that's when she asked if I would change it from 10am to 8am, I said sure. After I got up at 630am and was ready to leave for a 40 min drive, she wanted to change it to 4pm, but I couldn't because I had to work. then she says 830am. I ask if you are SURE. YES, SHE SAID. Then 30 mins later, when i'm ready to leave she wants to change it to the next morning. After that I was done with her. Totally unacceptable. I paid $350 and i'm still drawing on my eyebrows. I literally only have the outer 1/3 of my brows that is noticeable and uneven, the color is too light, you can see my black hairs thru the light brown, it does not look good at all. Even with my first appt. She didn't respond to my questions that I texted. The second time she didn't send me info after I called and texted for 3 days. I get these crazy appt reminders for LA at 10pm? It's so obvious she never made me an appt and blew me off, hence all the time changes. When I texted her after the 25th she didn't even know who i was or asked who I was and what i had done or needed. I have rarely had to deal with someone that is so unprofessional, disorganized and blatantly disrespects and disregards customers. I will not let her touch my eyebrows again or waste my time going in circles trying to get an appointment. Amber did not do a good job on my eyebrows AND did not fulfill her obligation to fix them at 4-6 weeks. At my first appointment she was trying to convince me I probably wouldn't need a second appointment. That's when I knew this was a scam and I wouldn't get my second appointment.
