This theater has great potential but is so short or poorly staffed that it suffers. The theaters have been dirty still when we enter at the movie start time. They have bottomless popcorn and drinks but we've gone a whole movie without a refill. They also have notoriously messed up our popcorn. They don't have a pick up counter just a bar now, so there's no way for you to just take your order to your seat yourself. We've chosen to go to a different theater now after this happening so many times, which is such a shame because they renovated it a year or so ago and it is a beautiful space. read more

We had a group event and got put in the wrong movie theater. By the time the movie started I and my date decided to stay while others waited in theater then left when the other came on which ruins the movie being watched. For food, I ordered a salad and told them about my allergy to tomato and the server said 'got it, no tomatoes'. My order came and it still had tomatoes. I pressed the button for service and the server took my order and brought back the same salad with some of the tomatoes removed. I'd taken a bite of one piece of cross contaminated chicken and noticed when I lit up the salad in the dark theater that all they did was try to remove the tomatoes and failed. Later that night I had an allergic reaction requiring Benadryl. I was lucky I only had a little piece. The customer service is disorganized and needs retraining on the dangers of food allergies. They also didn't know which seat ordered which meal so we had servers interrupting the movie while looking for the customer who ordered their respective meals. The real leather seats and overall ambiance is great despite the lacking service. If you don't have good allergies or group events this place is decent. read more

I have never given a review for food in a cinema, but i love this place! It's not a diner cinema, it's a cinema with wait staff and I had the spinach and truffle pizza and it was great! So, this was my first "luxury" theater experience, courtesy of my daughter. I normally just go to "regular" theaters, but this was a nice experience. We attended a Thursday 4:30 showing of "Everything Everywhere All At Once" (a mind-trip of a movie). It wasn't crowded, and purchasing tickets was easy. The on-call server was friendly and efficient. I had a "tropical" Mule which was nice and strong, bottomless popcorn (just ok) and cheese bites (meh...like microwaved out of a box). The seats themselves were very comfortable and very recline-able. I thought the food could do better for the price of the tickets, but overall it was a good experience, that I may try again on occasion. read more

I don't think I would come back here, at least not for the dine-in experience. Food and drinks are subpar and very overpriced. The theater itself was okay but everything was slightly sticky and not cleaned well. For what we paid I would recommend going to CMX dine-in movie in Brickell instead. read more

Not worth the money, unfortunately. This new remodeled theater literally reads under the name "luxury cinema" when it's anything but. Service is lacking, our movie started at 7:25 and they started cleaning up the theater from the previous mess at 7:25, after several people waiting to sit complained. I'm not sure if it's a lack of people working or just bad management but the theater was not properly cleaned, dishes were everywhere, food on the floor and on the chairs. There were bugs flying through the projector throughout the entire movie. Would not come here again and recommend you consider elsewhere if you have the option of trying out another theater. read more

I frequent this theater at least 2 or 3 times a month. The service is hit or miss. Bought a ticket to see a 2 hour movie. Ordered wine and a glass of tap water. Was charged for a bottle and didn't receive any water until the last 30 minutes of the movie. Had a manager take care of the error, she dismissed me very quickly. Went to see Bullet Train (definitely not a kids movie) but very good. First, the theater itself. The seats are super comfortable. Large reclining seats with wide arm rests. The foot rest comes up very close to the seat in front of you so little room for people to walk past. Lots of up and down at the beginning when people are finding their seats. We were at the first show of the day in theater 6 and it was dirty. Food, popcorn on the floor. One of our tray tables was sticky. I get if there is little time between shows but no excuse for first showing. To the food. We got the classic burger and lobster grilled cheese. The burger was very generic cafeteria burger. The lobster was buttery but not much lobster flavor. I tasted more of the lettuce than I did the lobster. The star on my plate was the elote. It was amazing with good flavor. We had the fried cheese app. Fried cheese is always a good idea. They had a $5 mimosa or bloody mary special before 3pm. The bloody mary was really good and we even had seconds. Ordering is easy. There are buttons on the arm rest. Service was efficient if not terribly friendly. read more

I went to this theater to experience their selfcare Sunday this past week and I had a great time! I'm familiar with Cinépolis since it was my go to theater in Davenport FL so I didn't expect a bad experience. The staff was absolutely amazing and so fun to talk to and I will definitely be visiting very soon. My only concern was the overall drinks at the bar which were not good at all but the staff was so great to accept them back and not charge me. read more

Went to see Barbie last night and was pleasantly surprised that the movie theater had seats that could recline which made my experience better as I was able to be much more comfortable than in a normal movie theater chair. The movie theater was clean. When we originally got there before the movie started, many staff members were taking food orders and this continued slightly during the movie with staff walking back and forth to bring food and drinks which was a bit distracting. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our experience! Additionally, one great hack for the movies was to park in the Cocowalk Garage where parking was 3$ for up to 4 hours if you got your ticket validated at the movie theater. read more

This place was once a gorgeous movie theater. Sadly, it has been mismanaged and left in a state of disrepair. We went to watch The Bike Riders. The general are of the theatre had pockets of no a/c, a distinct smell of mildew and fried food, and a sense of poor management. The chairs in our theater are mostly broken. So, either they do not recline or they stay reclined. Many of the lamps are broken. What is sad is that the lamps appear to look intentionally broken as if someone walked in and ripped the lamps out of the tables. The chairs and sitting areas do not look or feel disinfected. It was a bit of a yucky vibe. The movie was good and the a/c in the theater we were in was nice and cold. There are no candy stands. You are provided with a massive menu to choose from. I like to walk up to a stand and get a box of Junior mints and popcorn. For me the experience of sitting in a theatre whilst noshing on a burger and fries is not the vibe. I do like the option of a beer and popcorn but I don't really need it brought to me by a waiter. We probably will not be going back to this theatre until and unless they clean up and fix up what is broken. read more

This is a high end movie experience. Tickets are more expensive because of the food service available. Everything you order is expensive. The food is good and I ordered no salt popcorn which was delicious! Service is very good and prompt. My problem is with the bathroom. My daughter had no toilette paper in her stall. I had no toilette paper in mine. It looked like a gas station bathroom and not like an expensive venue. If you want to know why movie theaters are failing in America, visit Cinépolis in Coconut Grove. From dirty movie auditoriums (popcorn covered floors, sticky trays, nasty seats) to the sparsely used air conditioning (had to walk out of the movie, find an attendant, and beg for the AC to be turned on for a little longer than 5 minutes), this place needs a reset....urgently. I have been in the hospitality industry for many years, and just by walking around this place, it couldn't be any more clear that the staff is poorly trained, directionless, with zero sense of urgency or care. For example, it was five minutes before the movie started last weekend during my visit, and the theater auditorium had not been cleaned (it was a real mess). So, I needed to find the theater attendant and ask not once, but twice, about the auditorium being cleaned. The young lady finally came to clean approximately two minutes before the film began. Of course, she forgot her vacuum on the steps of the auditorium for the entire duration of the film. Who is the general manager at this dump?! Shame on you! If all the big Hollywood actors, producers, directors, studio executives cared enough......they would visit these poorly operated "luxury" theaters with elevated costs and realize the theater operators are the ones f**king them! Purchased two tickets to see Avatar. When we arrived at the theater the doors were locked. Eventually someone came out and said the theater would be unexpectedly closed. No mention of refunds; no attempt made to alert ticket holders prior to arrival; and no sense of leadership or professionalism. They should be ashamed. read more

Very disappointed! We were super excited to try out this movie theater in the newly renovated Cocowalk. We love going to Cinebistro and figured this would be a similar experience. There's a parking garage for $10. The tickets were not cheap. We bought them online for an old movie from 2000 they were re-screening for Christmas. For 2 adults and 1 child it was over $50. Unfortunately, when we arrived it was obvious the place hasn't been cleaned which is a no no for a place that sells food. The trays and seats were dirty. We pressed the button to get a server to take our order and it took a long time until someone came. It seemed like someone jumped in to help out because no server was assigned to the theater. The food was ok, very salty and very pricy. This experience which was a letdown. read more

Came to watch a movie here and didn't love the experience. For starters, changing seats online is impossible. We tried calling to do it over the phone and no one ever answered. We physically had to go in (thankfully we live nearby), but it's super inconvenient. Also, while it's great that you can order food and have it brought to you, they continue food service throughout the ENTIRE movie. This is unlike other theaters (like Silverspot) that stop food delivery after the trailers. So, there were servers talking to patrons and standing in front of the screen for pretty much the entirety of the movie. Also, the food took FOREVER. We also asked for a refill on our popcorn that practically came at the end of the film. While the location of this theater is great and close to many restaurants, they need to do a better job when it comes to customer experience. read more

Every time we come here we hope and pray for clean seats.. tonight not only was our seat discusting but the air conditioner was not functional .. we were happily visited by our personal theater pet.. Mimi the moth fly.. well we Got a refund , thank gosh for that.. ordered corn dogs to go for one of our kids, never arrived as we sat in the waiting area, so we just walked out...avoid this place, the actual movie is not worth it . I can't imagine how is the kitchen can actually handle your food when your seats look like a dumpster. read more

Can I give zero stars? WORST MOVIE THEATER IN MIAMI. The overall decor is nice, and that's about it. We were the first ones to arrive to our movie. Noticed that the rails in front and behind us haven't been dusted in a long time. I could have written my name for all the world to know I was there. Pressed the button and had a server show up reasonably quick. I ordered our meal, and gave them my credit card. Half an hour later, the movie begins and our drinks arrive. That's about it. Four separate times throughout the movie I buzzed for the server to tell him/het that our meal has not arrived. Four separate times they apologize and tell me it's on its way. Four times, four different servers. With about ten minutes left in the movie, a new dude comes by with my bill to sign (they've already run my card.) In the middle of the movie's big reveal, I told him "I'm not signing s**t", that I never got our meal. He apologizes, and says he'll be right back. Spoiler alert: he never comes back. Movie ends and now I'm on a hunt for someone. Anyone. I find a server leaving another movie and ask her to take me to a manager. As we are walking, she asks if everything was okay. I told her what happened and she just shook her head. She takes me to the manager. Plot twist: he was one of the four people who came to tell me my food was in it's way. I reminded him of what he had said, then I noticed the guy who brought me my check was leaning against the wall. I motion to him and remind him he had promised to come back and let me know what's going on, to which he failed. At this point, the manager pulled me into a servers area in one of the other theaters. He said he had told one of the other servers to let me know that he was going to refund the meals. He ultimately said he would be refunding the entire check. I did not sign any receipts, so I am anxiously awaiting the next few days to see if the charge posts with my bank. If it does, I will be asking to see a signed receipt. The journey continues. At this point, I was trying to figure out how on earth I could validate my parking ticket. I looked around to a sea of emptiness and decided to give up. I'll pay thr $10 just to leave there. Dave Chappelle said it best. I wish I had two more hands so that I can give you four thumbs down. And you know how I know none of this will ever get any better? Take a look at all of the negative reviews and notice that no one who owns the theater chain ever attempts to reply to the reviews. Top to bottom, they don't care. read more

Recently visited this cinema with my girlfriend to watch a movie we had been waiting to see. We've been here before but I wanted to mention a few things for someone who maybe hasn't. The place is very well maintained and although the tickets are more expensive than other theaters nearby, what you pay for are the comfortable, bed-like chairs and food/drink service to your seats. I liked that the menu had actual choices to eat instead of traditional movie theater food. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The woman who attended us mentioned they were understaffed but I don't think anyone waited too long to receive their food or drinks. A nice spot to enjoy a movie if you don't mind spending the extra dollar! We'll be back. read more

I feel like at this sort of movie theater you pay a lot for the tickets ($22 each) because you're expecting nice/attentive service, but I was there last night seeing mission impossible with my friends and the service was pretty bad. The server didn't have a bad attitude, but it took half an hour to get a cup of water and a diet coke, and it took an hour after that to get refills (it's bottomless soda/water cups). The server also took my diet coke before the cup was empty and I wasn't sure why- he didn't bring a refill or anything. Also, we both ordered popcorn which I felt like should be pretty quick, but after an hour I asked again about it because we still hadn't gotten it. The server said that he was making a fresh batch so it would be hot and fresh, but then we got it about twenty minutes later and it was cold and definitely not fresh. So not really sure what's going on with the service there- if you're charging a lot for tickets because it's a nice experience to get food/drink service at the theater- then the service should be at least decent. read more

Nice concept, poor execution and ridiculous pricing. $20 to see a movie is a little high but not terrible. Seating is nice, only about 30 seats per theater but the prices for drinks and even lackluster popcorn are crazy. Biggest drawback for me was the wait for service. We were the first in the theater and wanted to order before the movie started in 10 minutes. Friend asked at the "bar" for service and was told to push the buttons on our seats 15 min later I went back to the bar and asked how much longer we would have to wait. Omgomgomgomg my new favorite theaters. Let me start by saying I don't live in the gables, I live further north and I think I have found a reason to make the trek down. The prices are super reasonable for what they serve you, the servers are attentive but also discreet when the movie starts to play. The food is actually quite tasty being a movie theater, and the seats are wide and cozy. The sections aren't huge, maybe 20 seats or so?... so you get a full experience when watching your flick. I honestly felt like I was at home watching a movie but with someone serving me. And it was awesome. read more

I haven't been to the theater since Cocowalk was refurbished. I had the option to go to a closer theater, but I wanted to see how Cinepolis had turned out. First of all, they moved the bar to the front and the seating is in a space to the right (it looks like cafeteria seating). So you can't eat or drink anything at the bar. As we walked in, there were four people tending to the bar, and all of them ignored us completely, and continued with their conversations. Nobody asked us if we needed anything. We finally wandered into someone who seemed to be a manager, who explained to us that we would have to order from our seat. The theater is very clean and spacious. Our seats were wonderfully comfortable. There's a menu and a light by your seat. When you're ready to order you press a button. Our waiter showed up without us asking, which was nice. We ordered a giant hotdog and a pizza along with a couple of soft drinks. I was surprised that the food arrived without any cover, so they wandered the hallways with open plates. In other movie theaters, the food is covered and brought in a bag. We were not given utensils and we had to wait until we were more than half done with our food for our drinks to arrive, even though we asked for our drinks at least four times. I'm writing this here because I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn't one available on a Sunday night. So I thought it best to try to get their attention this way. Good thing the parking is validated and you only pay three dollars. But honestly, I have better options, so I am sorry to say I will not be returning to Cinepolis. If you are not going to eat there, you'll be happy with your seats and the ambience. read more
