I have been a customer for about two years. Typically I order takeout at least once or twice a month. When the food arrives the delivery person is always pleasant and the food is hot. I expected that when I decided to pick up my food the evening of August 13. I ordered my food using a GrubHub and requested that my food be done by 7 p.m. I arrived exactly at 7 PM. Upon my arrival, I encountered a very rude and abrupt female server.I simply asked for my take out and she was absolutely annoyed and completely unhelpful about getting my order. Finally a young man who was a server came out and he was a lot more pleasant and he found my order. When I got home and started to eat my dinner, the food was cold. In the past I've always enjoyed the food from this restaurant. Hopefully this is just a one off experience. However, due to my experience this evening I'm going to try some other Mediterranean restaurants in my area. read more

Personally, it is not my go-to spot, but it is a good place to eat. However, my girlfriend loves the Beyti Kebab so I took her and another one of my friends here yesterday. Judging by how fast my friend was devouring the Chicken Shish (and eating what I couldn't finish), I would say the food here is better than most. Came here on a quiet weekday evening for a casual dinner. We were greeted to a cozy, dimly lit restaurant with comfortable pillow laden seating areas and small, ornately textured lighting fixtures. For the price I paid for my dish, the food was unfortunately a little lackluster. The boiled cabbage was filled with boiled ground lamb and other muted herbs, and was accompanied by a tangy yet plain yogurt sauce. The tomato sauce on top was, again, bland in flavor. My fiancée's chicken kebab and adana plate tasted better, carrying lemony overtones with some spices mixed into the chicken. My menu choice is most likely not indicative of the quality of their food as a whole, and should be taken as such. I've been going here for years. So happy to see they extended the restaurant. My boyfriend and I had dinner at an outside table not to long ago and it was everything. The food never disappoints. I always get the baba ghanoush and the chicken and lamb combo. We got the platter to share with 4-5 different types of meats with rice and salad. You cannot forget baklava and Turkish coffee. One of the best Turkish restaurants in the area. Everything is made daily with fresh ingrediants. We usually order take out and they make everything on point. Staff is friendly and tge place is super clean. The owner, Mr. Tunch is on top of his job to serve the best quality food to his customers. We previously had an issue with our catering order but he reached out and apologized. He went above and beyond to make everything perfect for our next event. Located on Palisade Ave in Cliffside park. There is metered street parking available in front of the restaurant. I came for lunch, so I was able to find parking pretty easily, but I think during dinner hours parking might be hard to come by in this area. Was excited to try this restaurant, due to the Yelp reviews. The lunch menu looked very enticing and priced moderately. I had some difficulty choosing what to eat, because several dishes looked appetizing. With the lunch menu, all dishes come with your choice of salad or soup. I chose the salad. The dressing was a little vinegary, but nonetheless a good appetizer. I decided on the chicken shish kebob with rice for the main course. The chicken was very tender and seasoned well. I didn't need any additional sauce for the meat. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The taste of both the chicken and rice was very fresh and good. The portions weren't bad, although I would have liked a larger portion. Understandably its lunch, so the portions aren't that big. Will be back to try more lunch menu items or perhaps even dinner, for larger portions. read more

Recently realized that I have been to this place many times, but never wrote a review. It's one of my favorite places in north jersey so a must mention. The place got popular so if you plan to go on a Saturday night, make sure to make a reservation or have a backup plan before you go in. They get fully booked on weekends. My favorites on the menu are the fried liver and shepherd salad. The fried liver has flour in the original recipe so we ask them to make it without it because we are gluten free. The salad is awesome. This time I tried the babaganush and it's going on my list also. For the main dish I usually go for lamb with French fries and salad. All my fish eating family members enjoyed the fish. The space is small and set up with a home like feel. You can often find the owner and his family there. They even dine there sometimes. I like seeing that because it makes me think that the kitchen cooks for guests how they would for themselves. They must at least use the same ingredients. read more

I have to rescind my previous review. My boyfriend and I were welcomed back to Cinar for an in-dining experience and this was honestly one of the best meals we've ever had (I know.. bold statement but incredibly true)- luckily that too on his birthday and we couldn't have walked out any more happy than we did that evening. To summarize the entire meal from beginning to end: DELICIOUS. To summarize the service: outstanding! Food: Appetizers: Falafel: Crispy, lightly seasoned yet still flavorful. Babbaganush: Smoked perfectly and delicious with the pita served. We also received their Cinar salad which amazing as well- all the ingredients were fresh and I'm pretty sure I could eat this everyday. For our main entree, as if the appetizers didn't fill us enough, we tried the mixed kebab platter again and had a completely different reception of the dish vs our first experience. Meat was cooked perfectly, super tender and loved all the seasoning...every last bit of the dish was wiped clean. By this point you'd think we had enough, but to please the birthday boy we ordered the baklava which followed the path of our entire meal and did not disappoint one bit. Not drenched in syrup like others we've had- the perfect balance with texture and sweetness. Service: Incredibly attentive, warm and hospitable service. Delivery Review! Ordered deliver on a Sunday night just a little before 6pm. Food came at 6:30pm. Super quick! Especially since I was expecting it to take an hour. We ordered the fried calamari and mix kebab platter. Everything was nice and warm upon delivery. Don't order the fried calamari for delivery. Flavor is super good but it's not crispy. I mean, it's to be expected (since it's delivery) but there was no sign of it being crispy. BUT flavor was on point so I'm positive if you order it at the restaurant, it'll be superb. The mix platter. Heaven. Sooooo good!!!! My favorite out of what we got was the lamb adana kebab. Flavor and texture was yum! The pattie, chicken and lamb shish kebab were delicious as well. Great Turkish restaurant with BYOB. This is quickly becoming my favorite Turkish spot in the area. They also also just expanded to another store front about two doors down. Not sure how the food compares though. The place is fairly small, so I usually have to call ahead with reservation. Also, it's street parking only. It's does get a bit tough after certain time. The service and food here are both very good. The shepherd's salad is always fresh and light. I can make hummus myself at home. However, the hummus here has a little magic that I can't seem to replicate. The mixed kebab platter is absolutely delicious and certainly big enough to share between two people with leftover to take home. First Time Diner and humongous new fan of this delicious Turkish spot. My wife had the chicken kebab which was moist, perfectly cooked, and seasoned and could be easily sliced with a spoon. Unbelievably delicious! I had a lamb dumpling from the chef's specialty section of the menu. It came with a garlic yogurt sauce which was Heaven on Earth! So gf and I just moved to Fort Lee, and randomly ordered a sample platter from this Turkish heaven Resturant, and we couldn't be more pleased. Then I decided to throw a surprise bday party to my gf and I wanted to cater the party and decided to go for Turkish cuz I know she Loved that place we have ordered previously. I call the restaurant and spoke to Mr.Tunch the owner who was very kind and finally met in person and told him what I want and how I wanted and he was more than pleased to get my order and execute to its best. Finally the party day came and we couldn't be more happy and how totally exceeded my expectations. Totally fed about 25 ppl and still little left overs for next day. Yum! This may be my first time ordering from a Turkish restaurant, but it won't be my last for sure. I ordered via the Yelp app (Eat24). I picked the mixed grill plate, the phyllo dough wrapped feta, and two dips: the spinach and the tzaziki. One word that describes my overall first impression of the food from here is FRESH. Despite ordering delivery, it felt as if the food had been freshly prepared just for us, which is great. My favorite thing surprisingly enough was the phyllo wrapped feta (cheese in fried dough can't be bad) and the tzaziki. All of the meats in the mixed platter were great, though the lamb was a bit dry the flavor was very nice. The only thing I would caution against if you are ordering any of the combo appetizer platters (3 or 5 depending on which one you get): I originally ordered the trio of spinach dip, tzaziki, and feta platter, however someone from the restaurant (very kind) called and said there was a mistake and that tzaziki and feta is not part of the choices and that it is a mistake on the app. I didn't even mind because of how sweet the girl was about it, and she was very apologetic. I am sure if we went to this restaurant in person, we'd love it. For now though, we will continue to order delivery - we have leftovers for the rest of the week! read more
