I am hoping the Kebabs and Burgers here taste better, since the Biryani and Karahi that I ordered was just average. Biryani did not have much of a flavor and there was barely any meat. Even the meat that was there, was more like shredded pieces of meat, which is not something you would see in a regular Briyani. Karahi was a complete let down. I was expecting the meat to be tender but it was just too hard and chewy.

Food: 3.75/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 *** TIP*** Go park behind the building! Otherwise, you might spend some time circling the area for a spot. I ordered the custom lamb platter for $15 in-person. The employee was friendly and answered all questions I had about different things on the menu. The food was fresh and came out after 10 minutes or so. It was good. The rice had these raisins which were a nice surprise, and the mixture of fresh and pickled vegetables and lamb went well together. I would be curious what their other options taste like another time.

Ordered two skewers, chicken tandoori and lamb tikka. Flavor was good. But so disappointed with the quantity. I basically paid 9$ each for a leg of chicken and four tiny tikka pieces of lamb. Probably will never order from here again. Way overpriced for location and quantity.

Mouth watering burgers, gyro platters, and more! This place is where the real eats are and I highly recommended as either a formal or casual spot for delish Afghani food!

Ok let's get to this review. There's definitely some pros and cons that I found First off, as soon as you walk in, it's very spacious and as you arrive towards where you. Order, you can see an idea of how you can order. About 10 minutes later you'll get an amazing platter of food. I got the mixed gyro platter with onions, peppers, chopped pita bread with sauce on the side. As soon as I got home and began eating, I really started falling in love with the flavors and spices used. Reminded me very much of a biriyani type rice with the additions, but the amazing flavors of gyro and chicken. Both proteins were chopped up finely, along with the pita which was chopped up into fine little pieces as well. My biggest con - I feel that the rice - protein ratio was way off. There was such an overwhelming amount of rice as compared to the proteins. I'm sure if I ask them next time, they'd be willing to fix that, but I was definitely expecting more of a 50-50 split. Also wish I could have gotten some extra pita, because it was hard to find much of it in all the rice -- again something I'll be asking for next time I head out there. Lastly, the hot sauce isn't really hot. Reminds me of hot sauce packets from the Chinese takeout. Also, be prepared to park on the street. I had to circle around twice before I found a semi-illegal spot to park at temporarily. LOL

I've been a fan of Kabab Paradise since I used to frequent the original shop in Lake Hiawatha when it first opened years ago. Kabab Paradise' platters were one of the few dishes I would crave after moving to Bergen County and anytime I had business in Parsippany, I would try to stop by. Hearing about the Teaneck location brought so much joy to my life, especially in the midst of this pandemic. Kabab Paradise's platters are comforting and feels like home. They're also extremely generous with their portions - I ate 3 meals from 1 platter. I've recommended KP to a lot of my friends who live in the area and they all agree that it's WAY better than Halal Guys. Make sure to get the mixed gyro platter with carrot and raisin rice - you will not regret it.

    Interior/Inside- Logo

Many have awaited for Kabab Paradise (a growing NJ family restaurant chain with three other locations) to make their debut in Bergen County. While we are sad to see Addy's BBQ go, Kabab Paradise is a welcome addition to the Teaneck/Bergen County food scene! With their expansive menu full of delicious items, quick service, and family friendly ambience, Kabab Paradise will soon become a local favorite. You've got to try their mixed gyro platter (with Qabuli rice)- their take on the classic halal guys platter (which is just as good if not better), the combination kabab platter (with Qabuli rice) for an excellent take on a more traditional Afghan dish, and their burgers/wings. Most of all, I'm just glad I won't have to drive 30+ minutes to get some of their tasty food when I'm visiting family and friends in NJ!

Disappointing Lamb Gyro Salad, nothing like other KP locations.

This place should not be called Kabab Paradise. It's false advertisement when you are expecting a certain quality and standard after going to the original location in Lake Hiawatha. What a disappointment for around $70 of food for 2 adults and 2 kids. If this place wasn't being compared to their brand name in 2 other locations, I'd consider giving them 3 stars but when being compared to the 5 star KP in other locations they're less than 2. The Jupiter Burger is similar to what we expected but the Solar Wings were lacking in sauce big time. The Lamb Gyro Platter over rice and Lamb Gyro Platter over salad were smaller in portion size and less quality in ingredients. The salad was a few pieces of romaine lettuce, a few broken olives, and cucumber with the skin still on it. It's like they use the same ingredients but take no pride in what they are serving. Lastly, the huge negative to the experience is the chilli cheese fries which my family gets from Kabab Paradise all the time. We always order a large fries with extra chili cheese. For some reason, this location decided to put an absurd amount of cold nacho cheese goo all over french fries. When we explained that's not what we ordered and we've never had that from KP before the guy behind the counter said he likes it that way and couldn't do anything about it. He offered plain fries as a replacement, but we already had 3 other orders of plain fries with our burgers and wings. He then did not refund the order of very grosse nacho cheese goo fries. We won't be back. We expected this to be a similar in flavor and quality to the other Kabab Paradise locations. Again, they should consider a name change.

One had eaten and taken out from here before and liked it, so we called, didn't need a reservation, off we went. At about 5:15, give or take, we were the first patrons there. It's a lovely large space, warmly decorated with tables and some banquettes. We chose a 4-top kind of right in the center! Comfy chairs, btw. The menu isn't strictly Greek or Lebanese or Turkish, kind of a combo of good choices from those cuisines. We started with an appetizer called Tinos Artichoke. Very interesting, served with small warm fresh wedges of pita plus a cup of deliciously seasoned pita chips. It's a dip of mashed artichokes with Greek yogurt, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, garlic, feta. S tasty! It's a great portion to share among several people. My friends each ordered the chicken soup with vegetables for appetizers. Quite a nice sized bowl for the price; I love avgolemono, if that's what it was (I didn't taste it), just didn't feel like having soup. They both liked it very much and then they were pretty full! I ordered two appetizers for my meal - Symi Shrimp and Grilled Halloumi. Excellent choices, and they worked really well together as a meal! The 2 slabs of perfectly cooked halloumi are served on a bed of romaine lettuce and some threads of carrot. The shrimp are small, very lightly breaded and deliciously seasoned; menu says garlic, lemon, but they were reddish so I suspect maybe paprika as well or cayenne + paprika (not hot but not bland), shredded feta sprinkled liberally on top. I'm a big eater, but after the appetizer I wasn't able to finish my meal; today I reheated in the toaster oven for a lunch treat! One friend had just the Symi shrimp as her meal; the soup had filled her up and she also took some home. Our other friend had the chicken shish. This came as a really well-balanced plate, with plenty of cubes of chicken, rice, and veggies. We ALL had to-go bags! Appetizer portions, just based on the appetizers we were served, are ample for sharing. Didn't stay for dessert, as I had a train to catch back into the City.
