I used to love this place, but unfortunately my last couple of visits were disappointing. I ordered the mixed platter and a gyro sandwich, and both were extremely salty. At first, I thought it was just a one-time mistake and maybe the meat had been over-seasoned that day, so I gave them another chance the following day. Unfortunately, it was just as salty--so salty that it overwhelmed the flavor of the food. I'm not sure if they changed who prepares the meat or if the recipe has changed, but it's definitely not the same quality I used to enjoy. I hope they can address this because I used to be a regular. I had a disappointing experience with this Afghan restaurant. I placed a pickup order that included the Sultan combo, lamb dish, and another combo meal. Unfortunately, all portions were very small and not enough food for one person, especially considering the price. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, the staff was rude and acted as if they could not hear or understand me, rather than trying to help. Some of the food items were also missing from my order. In my experience, most restaurants would acknowledge the mistake and do their best to correct it, but that was not the case here. I am hoping the Kebabs and Burgers here taste better, since the Biryani and Karahi that I ordered was just average. Biryani did not have much of a flavor and there was barely any meat. Even the meat that was there, was more like shredded pieces of meat, which is not something you would see in a regular Briyani. Karahi was a complete let down. Every time I've ordered from here, I always got the delicious chicken platter with extra white sauce. Not sure if they're under new management, but it doesn't taste nor look the same. Today, I actually craved their chicken and rice, but ended up being highly disappointed. The platter itself had chicken, small cut up pieces of pita bread (it was never like that), mushrooms, raisins, carrots, and onions. Why is the pita bread cut up like that? Couldn't differentiate between what was chicken and what was pita. I don't want to eat small squared pita. I wanna be able to dip my bread alone into the white sauce. Ok let's get to this review. There's definitely some pros and cons that I found First off, as soon as you walk in, it's very spacious and as you arrive towards where you. Order, you can see an idea of how you can order. About 10 minutes later you'll get an amazing platter of food. I got the mixed gyro platter with onions, peppers, chopped pita bread with sauce on the side. As soon as I got home and began eating, I really started falling in love with the flavors and spices used. Reminded me very much of a biriyani type rice with the additions, but the amazing flavors of gyro and chicken. Both proteins were chopped up finely, along with the pita which was chopped up into fine little pieces as well. My biggest con - I feel that the rice - protein ratio was way off. There was such an overwhelming amount of rice as compared to the proteins. I'm sure if I ask them next time, they'd be willing to fix that, but I was definitely expecting more of a 50-50 split. Also wish I could have gotten some extra pita, because it was hard to find much of it in all the rice -- again something I'll be asking for next time I head out there. Lastly, the hot sauce isn't really hot. Reminds me of hot sauce packets from the Chinese takeout. Also, be prepared to park on the street. I had to circle around twice before I found a semi-illegal spot to park at temporarily. LOL read more

I've been a fan of Kabab Paradise since I used to frequent the original shop in Lake Hiawatha when it first opened years ago. Kabab Paradise' platters were one of the few dishes I would crave after moving to Bergen County and anytime I had business in Parsippany, I would try to stop by. Hearing about the Teaneck location brought so much joy to my life, especially in the midst of this pandemic. Kabab Paradise's platters are comforting and feels like home. They're also extremely generous with their portions - I ate 3 meals from 1 platter. I've recommended KP to a lot of my friends who live in the area and they all agree that it's WAY better than Halal Guys. This place should not be called Kabab Paradise. It's false advertisement when you are expecting a certain quality and standard after going to the original location in Lake Hiawatha. What a disappointment for around $70 of food for 2 adults and 2 kids. If this place wasn't being compared to their brand name in 2 other locations, I'd consider giving them 3 stars but when being compared to the 5 star KP in other locations they're less than 2. The Jupiter Burger is similar to what we expected but the Solar Wings were lacking in sauce big time. The Lamb Gyro Platter over rice and Lamb Gyro Platter over salad were smaller in portion size and less quality in ingredients. The salad was a few pieces of romaine lettuce, a few broken olives, and cucumber with the skin still on it. It's like they use the same ingredients but take no pride in what they are serving. Lastly, the huge negative to the experience is the chilli cheese fries which my family gets from Kabab Paradise all the time. We always order a large fries with extra chili cheese. For some reason, this location decided to put an absurd amount of cold nacho cheese goo all over french fries. When we explained that's not what we ordered and we've never had that from KP before the guy behind the counter said he likes it that way and couldn't do anything about it. He offered plain fries as a replacement, but we already had 3 other orders of plain fries with our burgers and wings. He then did not refund the order of very grosse nacho cheese goo fries. We won't be back. We expected this to be a similar in flavor and quality to the other Kabab Paradise locations. Again, they should consider a name change. read more

The food was very delicious. The portions are big enough to eat some now and have lunch for the next day. I had the chicken gyro platter with peppers, onions, mushrooms and pita bread. OK so everyone that knows me understand that I'm an extremely picky eater, especially with meat. When I first heard about the opening of this location I was excited to try it! There was truly too many good things to choose from! I didn't know what I wanted to try first. They have a bast variety of fancy gourmet burgers and fries especially! I took the plunge and opted for the Neptune burger which features a juicy patty, mushrooms, swiss, pickles and 2 onion rings. I also stuck to classic fries for my first time. (You have an option of just the burger or a combo which includes fries and a fountain soda). My total was extremely reasonable for the combo! I also added an order of their famous Afghan creamrolls! My favorite part... trying the burger really shocked me. Im not a burger person. This really outdid my expectation! The burger was cooked perfected and the onion rings were an awesome "crunch factor" to the burger! I think I would try fancy french fries next time but I was too indecisive! A weekly staple for us. You can't go wrong with the chicken breast over rice or the chicken kebab sandwich which comes in pita bread. If you're looking for delicious white sauce - look no further, and the green sauce brings a satisfying tanginess to your taste buds. However they can improve by adding more meat because my mixed gyro platter was 2/3 rice. Also they said the platter comes with salad and pitas on the side but neither was packed in our takeout order. Family, friends and I have been going to their flagship location in Lake Hiawatha since the start, almost over a decade ago and they finally opened a location in Bergen County. Great to see halal food spreading! Their reputation is well deserved as they've never compromise on food quality and quantity, always fairly priced, and hands down the best food spot in NJ. They were incredibly soggy and limp. I know fries can go soggy and I've had soggy fries before but these were much worse. On top of that, they slapped 5 of those processed cheese slices that literally do not melt. So the cheese was cheap and unmelted and the fries were mush. I have such a vad raste in my mouth. Online they say they're open til 10p, I put an order in at 920. Apparently they canceled the order cause the Kitchen was closed. I never received a call to inform me if tgus. I drove half an hour to puck up food that I was expecting only to be told it was canceled because the kitchen closed. The place is located in 1199 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck, NJ 07666 is not owned by the original owner from Lake Hiawatha. I went the my family to eat dinner. The place was too cold to sit inside. The customer service has horrible. I had to wait for 40 minutes to bring the chicken wings on my table. Once I got the chicken wings on my table, I found a hair on it which was disgusting. The server never said sorry. We did not like the food at all the way used to be. I have been eating in Lake Hiawatha location past 15 years. Never disappointed there.
