I ordered the Filet Mignon and my husband ordered the New York strip; both were only a few tallies above what you could get at any decent, everyday restaurant. We also both ordered a lobster tail, which turned out to be a bit tough. I will say they do have the largest shrimp, which we really enjoyed, and their cocktail sauce was quite tasty. Ultimately, management needs to remember that they are still just a hotel restaurant. To truly captivate customers and justify their fine-dining labels and pricing, they need to refine their seating communication, make everyone who walks in feel seen and appreciated, and inject real culinary ambition into the kitchen, taste, and presentation. They offer all you can eat catfish and coleslaw. I opted for that one "Adult fish plate" for $12.50. The waitress said I could go get coleslaw at a cold bar. The coleslaw was a little sweet for my taste. The food came out and the catfish was plentiful and good. I only could eat one plate. Worthy of note: there is a sign that says "No smoking" but that may have been a suggestion - or smoking was tolerated. Because the table next to me, there was an old grandma with a lit cig smoking. I believe in Kentucky they do have a law that smoking is not allowed in businesses but like I said, this place is isolated and in a hollow, so I doubt any fuss is made about it.
