We love this place!!!! Not only do they have typical "pet friendly outdoor seating" (and the "dog houses" are too cute), but they also have a 3 walled covered patio in the back that is dog friendly and perfect for inclement weather - which is what we experienced. We stopped by on a rainy day of travelling before heading to our hotel with our pup and were delighted with this accommodation! The staff clearly LOVES dogs, oh - and the food was good too!! This may be the hardest review I've done. The food was pretty good but my girls order was messed up! They happily fixed it. My burger was great the green beans and fries were VERY good and our waitress was super good! Filled drinks and smiles the entire time. She even admitted how our order was messed up. Prices were also very fair. Only issues were mayo on the blt (requested no mayo) and no Chicago dog on the menu! A place selling hot dogs should have a Chicago dog on the menu! While driving back from Nashville to Kentucky with family, we stopped here for lunch since we had a dog with us. Very cute spot and some nice outdoor options with dogs including separate deck spaces and another indoor/outdoor patio with heaters and a nice fireplace feature in the middle. I got a hot chicken sandwich which had great flavor, and green beans on the side as a sort of "healthier" option, lol. Many other restaurants could learn from the service here. The dog theme is super cute for dog lovers out there. Kids meals are served in a dog bowl, as are some other dishes. Double dogs is a dog themed American eatery and sports bar setup that has a few locations spread throughout the Kentucky area. This particular location is the Bowling Green Kentucky location. A bit of a backstory for my visit here is my family and I were in town from Lousiville adopting us a new puppy who is an 8 month old Australian Shepherd named Nala. We have a double dogs back in Lousiville that we visit frequently and enjoy. So before our 90 min trek back home with our new family member I seen that a double dogs was nearby and it was lunchtime so I knew it was a perfect place to grab a bite and be able to bring our new puppy in. The decor and setup at double Dogs at This location and the Lousiville is very fun and vibrant. Such a nice and cool Atmosphere. This location actually has better amenities and setup for people bringing there dogs. They had a nice patio area with a heater and dog bowls for your furry friends. It was a nicer day anyways so it made sense to dine on the patio. Our service on This trip was really Good and attentive to both us and Nala. We stuck with our normal choices of the appetizer of Bo's Dog Bowl Nachos which may be my favorite app at any establishment. So good! For our entrees the kids got some mac and cheese and chicken tenders from The kids menu, my oldest got her favorite double dogs menu item of Buffalo Chicken Tender Sandwich, the wife went with a a bacon cheeseburger and I tried the Margherita pizza for the first time. Everyone was very happy with their meals. In the past at double dogs unlike my family I've struggled to find my favorite entree menu item. Everything has just been ok to me in the past from The hot dogs to the steak and other items. So much to the point that I've ordered the bo nachos as my entree (can't ever go Wrong with that) in the past. However, I will Say the pizza I got this time was my favorite. My first time here. The hostess at the front door was warm and inviting. My server was on point. She was well informed and able to answer all my questions about the different menu items. We have been here before when we traveled, which was about 2 years ago. We were excited to return. We were seated quickly as it was busy and were a party of 4. I can say, I was not disappointed by the cold, draft beer. However, we were disappointed with our food. My husband ordered the wings (crunchy) and he said they were really dry. We rolled into down after a 6 hour leg of our road trip, ready for a "real" meal that wouldn't involve getting dressed up, making reservations or spending $$. Double Dogs had great reviews and fit the bill for what we were looking for, so we headed over. This was a clean, friendly establishment with a more upscale sports bar vibe and a dog theme that was executed well without being over the top. The restaurant has a dog friendly patio and there were a few parties out there enjoying dinner. The pet area is a nice space and unless you were sitting adjacent to it, you'd really never know it was there. There was a nice outdoor patio out front as well, but we opted to sit inside. There were several tvs broadcasting sporting events but they were not loud or distracting. Our server was friendly and attentive and when we accidentally received the wrong drink she was apologetic, took the drink off our check and let us keep it. We were a party of 2. We ordered a Greek Salad with grilled chicken, grilled tenders with green beans and a side of fries. The food was high quality and Delicious. The grilled chicken tasted freshly prepared and juicy. The serving sizes were excellent and the fries were more than enough for the 2 of us to share. People around us had burgers & wings which looked fantastic. We ended up drinking waters, but all told our bill was $38 which I thought was shockingly reasonable given today's inflated food prices. This is a solid place for a casual dinner. We had never had lunch here before and the food was fine, however these folks will nickel and dime you to death. First visit I got a Philly Cheese sandwich. I noticed no au ju, so I asked the lady if they offered au ju, sure we do, I will bring you some. She brought out a tiny little plastic container 1/4 full?? How much was I charged for that 1/8th of a jigger of au ju, 60 cents. The next time, yesterday, I got a chili dog, almost $12.00. I asked for two or three small pickle chips. My friend said, don't you know they will charge you for three pickle chips, and I said no way!! Well, I was wrong, 60 cents for three pickle chips. Please remember this is a small, tiny hot dog with a tiny bit of chili and fries, $12.00, the same dog you can get a Kroger or Walmart for almost nothing. The lady that waited on us said, yep, they make us charge .60 cents for anything and everything other than mustard and mayo, it's not fair or reasonable, but we have to charge it. Well, there is such a thing as reasonable, and now, hopefully I can save you .60 cents if you want three pickle chips.
