    Club soda with lime

Fabulous experience all around! The restaurant is well decorated, high ceilings, and clean. I will also say that the booth was comfortable and solid. Sometimes booths are very uncomfortable and rickety. Our waiter, Ricky was wonderful as well as the support staff that were buzzing around cleaning, dropping off salsa and chips, etc. I was impressed with the presentation of everything including just my club soda! It came in an icy beer mug with a lime. The salsa was good and slightly spicy. Guacamole was very smooth and had wonderful flavor. The quesa birria absolutely amazing. It will be hard to get anything else in the future! Happy with this experience overall. We will definitely be back.

100% would recommend this restaurant!!!!…read more we arrived right at 5pm when they open back up for the day. firstly the atmosphere and customer service is top tier. everyone is super attentive and welcoming. we started off with mixed drinks, with a very wide selection, each drink we tried was perfectly mixed and balanced. we definitely would recommend the french martini and vette city. as for appetizers, we tried the fried pickles and jalapeños. the batter was light but crunchy and flavorful and the house made ranch paired perfectly with them. main courses i would 1000% recommend the chicken rosa. such a delicious dish with a creamy mash potatoes side and perfectly seasoned and sautéed fresh vegetable side. the lemon caper sauce paired with the chicken was stunning. chicken was cooked perfectly and still very juicy. the basil pasta dish was al dente with a rich, herby, and creamy sauce. the crème brûlée was the most delicious dessert to end the meal with a perfectly crunchy sugar top not too charred and the crème part was flavored very nicely with a good vanilla taste. 5/5 WOULD RECOMMEND

It a hard balance when for some. The atmosphere was modern chic with farm house feel. The pour on my wine was subpar along with my dinner portion of salmon. For these reasons, I can't give them a four star or better review.

If you turn onto St.Charles St., just keep driving. Ignore the industrial buildings until…read moreyou arrive at this small, innocuous-looking building that is this Cuban restaurant & bar. If I were to remove a star, it would be because of the exterior. But I'm not going to remove a star. Once again, I come to an ethnic restaurant that looks questionable on the outside. But as we all know, those are the restaurants that have the BEST food. So I entered the restaurant, bravely and was greeted immediately by a very friendly server, who offered me to sit in either the dining or the bar area. I chose the dining area because it had more light. The bar area was way too dark for my preference, but she explained that the state law required them to keep it dark (because it's a bar area). The bar area has seating along the bar itself, and at a few tables in the area. Plus, (and it's a big plus for me) there is a pool table and and music plays all the time. :-) So I tried the drink soursop (guanabana) which is a tropical fruit that tastes like a combination of strawberries and apples. I really enjoyed it! Try it on ice because it tastes better when it is cold, per the recommendation of my wonderful server. As an appetizer, she brought to me fried onion rings with an amazing creamy garlic sauce for dipping. I am ashamed to say that I inhaled those onion rings! I dipped each one dipped in the flavorful garlic sauce. For dinner I ordered the eight. The pork team sliced with caramelized onions on top it I could not believe how tender and flavorful the pork was. Just amazing scrumptious! It melted my mouth. Eating it along with the congri was just a delightful experience. The dish came with a side salad (chopped red cabbage over sliced tomatoes) that was nothing special , but it looked very pretty. Foolishly, I ordered a side on yucca. It comes with warm queso on the side. I tried the yucca dipped in the queso AND dipped in the creamy garlic sauce (that came with the appetizer onion rings). While I liked both flavors, I preferred the garlic sauce with the yucca (I'm just a sucker for garlic). As I said earlier, the flavors of the pork, caramelized onions and congri were the stars of this dish. The tasty food, efficient service and the friendly owner (who visited my table and talked to me while I waited for my food), almost makes me wish I lived here so that I could partake at my convenience. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. If you are ever close to here, you should try it also.

Food took a little time to come out but I expect that in-between busy times. We were the only ones eating for most of the time we were there. The appetizers were really good, we had croquettes and empanadas that were great. The meals were really good, the only problem we had was my wifes Ropa Vieja was dry. The owner stopped by asked how everything was and gave us a discount because I was wearing a USAF Veteran hat. I didn't ask for it or expect it but really appreciated that extra touch. We will be back

I got the chuychanga, my son had the crispy tacos, and my picky 5-year-old ordered the mac and cheese, which passed her very strict, no-nonsense mac and cheese standards. Everything was full of flavor and nicely presented. And the boom-boom sauce is SO delicious. Our server, Andra (I hope I remembered that correctly!), was hands-down one of the best servers we've ever had. She was kind, attentive, and had great suggestions, and she was always nearby if we needed anything. There was also a small moment that really stood out when we were being seated, the host initially placed us in one section but realized it was short-staffed and moved us to another. He apologized so much, even though it truly wasn't a big deal at all. Then, another server from that first section actually came to find us just to apologize for the mix-up as well. It was so thoughtful and completely above and beyond. Thank you to Andra and the entire crew for making our experience so special! You all are wonderful, and we can't wait to come back

We were greeted by the hostess and told we could sit whenever we wanted and we chose the bar. The bartender got us a couple waters while we looked at the menu. After several minutes she came back and we asked for chips and salsa. Several more minutes passed before she came back and we placed our order for food. Not a complicated lunch. I ordered Chicken Tinga Tacos and my wife ordered the Chicken Chile Relleno. We waited about 20 minutes, food hadn't arrived, we had eaten all the Chips and Salsa and the bartender was ignoring us. We could see the kitchen and it didn't look like the cooks were even working. Not sure how you could not take care of probably a total of 10 people during lunch. We told the bartender and manager we were leaving because we hadn't gotten our food and to cancel our order. What has happened to this place? Has it changed ownership? What we saw yesterday was a poorly run restaurant and it's kind of sad after having some many good meals here.
