Since this is in Stamford's downtown area, please be prepared for potential parking challenges. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted and asked whether I preferred to dine in or take out. I chose to dine in to experience the ambiance fully. I was informed that I could sit anywhere, and I placed my order: chorizo, Birria, steak, Al Pastor with pineapple, and pork carnitas tacos. My order was served in approximately fifteen minutes. The Chorizo taco was very flavorful and enjoyable, and I agree with my coworker that it was excellent. The Al Pastor taco with pineapple was good, though I found the pineapple flavor could be a bit more pronounced, and I personally would prefer less fat on the meat. The steak taco was tasty but a little dry; the meat was well-cooked and flavorful, but it lacked moisture. The Birria taco was acceptable, with each establishment offering its own unique take; this one used a soft tortilla, whereas I typically enjoy mine with a crunch and served with consommé broth. It was satisfactory but slightly on the dry side. The pork carnitas taco was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, if I return, I would especially recommend the Chorizo tacos, as they stood out to me. One of the best breakfast burritos I can remember in a long while. I got the egg, chorizo, black bean burrito and it was served grilled which gave it a nice texture. It had just the right amount of filling and was served with pico and a side of red and green salsa. I was told they also will make chilaquiles if you are dining in. New place on the corner opened up selling authentic Mexican food and I was sold. Went in and the owners gave us a sample of the birria and explained how they made it. The sample was yummy so we ordered a birria torta and some pork tacos and drinks. The food came out within minutes. We got the food to go. It was fresh, tasty and worth coming back a second time. The location is clean and colorful with Mexican tv playing in the corner. They have snacks, candy, chips, slices of flan, and other small items in case you just need a pick-me-up. We went back later in the week and got breakfast sandwiches since they have a breakfast special. The sandwiches were good but the bread to egg and meat ratio was off. Too much bread.
