My wife and I tried out the newer Rochester location for the first time and were extremely happy with our food, service and the ambiance. We started with Chips and Queso(my wife's favorite) and although we wanted tableside guacamole we opted for our next visit. I enjoyed a sugar rimmed Watermelon Grande Margarita and my slightest complaint would be a bit more watermelon liquor. My wife really enjoyed her Pomegranate Margarita. I enjoyed the Banco Burrito and loaded it up with just about the kitchen sink.... When I say fresh ingredients cooked for it, that an understatement, phenomenal dish(two meals worth). My wife enjoyed the Chipotle Burrito and raved how delicious it was (again two meals worth) The service was great as was our server(I have forgotten her name).

We have dined in and gotten takeout many times. Location in a former bank is unusual and interesting. The food is always fresh and delicious! Be aware that items ordered in addition to what is on the menu are extra charges. Sangriarita drink is unique and a favorite for me. Reservations accepted and flexible. Staff is wonderful. Takeout includes complimentary chips and salsa, which is a nice touch.

First time trying this restaurant. Ambiance was very nice. Ordered the Taco Salad with ground beef to go. It was good. Nothing spectacular or anything. I asked for extra sour cream but I think the gave me extra guacamole instead.

This has become our favorite restaurant in Rochester, we've been several times since they've opened and have never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh, and tastes so so good! The servers are all wonderful. The place just has a great vibe.

Rating: 4.7 Came to…read morestop by on the way back from northern Maine. It's a local seafood market located by the bridge at york, ME. They have live lobsters and other seafood as well. They serve various size of lobsters as well as cook them for you. However they do not provide place to eat or utensils so they function more as a market than a restaurant. They have sort of a parking lot where you can park. There are few works on the back hanging around and 2 younger staff that take care of orders. Lobster has quite few size options and some explanations for terms they use. We weren't sure what to get but figure we wanted larger size lobsters. SLX which is the largest ones were $14 per pound. They can also let you pick them live as well but we chose 2 lb ones. They charge $1.5 to boil but it's a-lot of work to boil properly so it's worth it. We waited about 20-25minutes or so and they also chilled it so that we can take it home to eat. Luckily we had ice box with some ice packs so it kept the lobster fresh until getting home. Once we got home we opened the bag to eat the lobster. It's a huge lobster with large claws. We got a large bowl and separate plate to eat. It was a massive task to crack the claws as one of the claw was huge and very tough. We ended up using a hammer and dull knife to crack them open. The meat was tender and sweet. One of the best maine lobster we had. Overall the place provides fresh maine lobster for good price. Only issue is that they don't serve it so you will need to plan to take it home and have tools to crack them open. They also only take cash. If i were to come back i would give them a call a head of time to have the lobster prepared to go and pick them up which seems to be what other people were doing.

Probably some of the best lobster I've ever had. We placed a big order for friends and family…read moregetting together in Maine for dinner. The lobster was salty and sweet at the same time and perfectly cooked. We had lobster a few other times in Maine this trip, and honestly none compared to the lobster from Off the Boat!

We drove down the road a bit and sat at some picnic tables overlooking the harbor to dine. It was really windy, but I was happy with my bisque. They threw in a lobster roll bun for me at the last minute and that really was appreciated. It was so good and this might be the best way for me to enjoy lobster. The service is quick and the line backs up so you had better know what you want when you get to the front. The gals were efficient and friendly, what more could you ask for? Would definitely be back to enjoy this bisque again.

Footbridge lobster vs Lobster Shack review…read more Location: Footbridge lobster is located right next door to Lobster shack right by the footbridge. Seating: Footbridge js TAKE OUT ONLY with a big window you walk up to order and pickup. There are some benches nearby you might get lucky or you can stand by the bridge and eat. Lobster shack has seating and bathrooms. Price: On a Monday post lunch hour, I ordered the Lobster roll with clam chowder soup. Foot bridge is cheaper if you buy the combo outside of the lunch special hour compared to lobster shack. If you buy during lunch hour, they both are about similar in pricing. FOOD: The biggest difference between the two was TEXTURE. Footbridge offered a bouncy/chewier texture while Lobster Shack offered a softer easier to pull apart lobster. Secondly, the bread is slightly smaller at footbridge but the meat is 5oz almost singular piece versus lobster rolls multiple smaller pieces. Clam chowder was similar in the sense that footbridge had a thicker milkier consistency like most New England clam chowder while Lobster shack had more meat/substance but thinner liquid base with a somewhat coconut type taste. Both lobsters and clam chowder are unique and tasty in their own way and all boils down to preference. At this moment in time, I prefer footbridge for the lobster roll and the clam chowder at lobster shack. If I went outside of lunch hour, footbridge will be my go to for the slightly better price and less broken down pieces of lobster. If you don't like to chew - lobster shack

My son was brought an inedible burger that was so burned it was completely black and he tried to bite into it but it was a chunk of coal. I asked the waitress if he could order something else because it was burnt. She said "Well he's the one who ordered it well-done." I said "Yes, but that means cooked all the way through, this is completely burned." And I pulled off the bun and lettuce to show her the chunk of charcoal he was served. She seemed annoyed and said we should have ordered it medium-rare and not well done and she walked away with it. My son was brought another burger by the time the rest of the family had completely finished all our meals. I ate half of my burger to be polite but it was dry as a bone and had no flavor. Overall, I wasn't impressed. Our bill for a family of 4 was $100 which is often the case when we go out to resteraunts these days. But that was the worst $14 burger Ive ever eaten. Also, they advertise the live music they have outside there but when we went out to listen we were told we needed to purchase wrist bands and if we weren't going to we were allowed to purchase one drink but then would have to leave.
