We have dined in and gotten takeout many times. Location in a former bank is unusual and interesting. The food is always fresh and delicious! Be aware that items ordered in addition to what is on the menu are extra charges. Sangriarita drink is unique and a favorite for me. Reservations accepted and flexible. Staff is wonderful. We drive through Rochester on occasion to visit Lowe's and saw Cinco's Cantina. We have been to the one in Dover and decided to give it a try. Plenty of street parking and a lot across the street. Not bad. Very spacious and bright in comparison to the Dover location. Love the chair decoration. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu is the same and the food was very good. Seems like a great spot to hang with friends. Plenty of booth, table and bar seating options. Meal was yummy and worth another visit. read more

Here we are again saying it's the people that work that really make the difference! Nicky, our server and bartender was a delight to watch and hear! She did a terrific job letting us know what was going with their menu and took great care of us! We were delivered chips and salsa as we were seated. There was also a special salsa that seemed to be a mix of ranch dressing and salsa. I must say my wife and I were not that impressed with it. There's very good and the chips were good as well! We also ordered a side of their guacamole. I ordered their Carnitas chili Verde while my wife ordered chicken enchiladas. We also ordered margaritas. A Cinco de Mayo margarita with Julio and a raspberry margarita for my wife. Both extremely tasty! Nicky even put the World Cup football match on for us as well! We had a good experience here. The Restaurant itself was well appointed, and the restrooms were clean as well. The men's room was missing a sink, but was very clean! If we were locals, I know we would be back. read more

Nice little Mexican place here! Food was yummy! Started with chips and delicious salsa and then I got fajitas and he got chimichangas. Everything tasted fresh with plenty of seasoning and nothing overdone. The seasoning on my steak for my fajitas was delish. Service was nice and the interior was homey and interestingly decorated. My wife and I tried out the newer Rochester location for the first time and were extremely happy with our food, service and the ambiance. We started with Chips and Queso(my wife's favorite) and although we wanted tableside guacamole we opted for our next visit. I enjoyed a sugar rimmed Watermelon Grande Margarita and my slightest complaint would be a bit more watermelon liquor. My wife really enjoyed her Pomegranate Margarita. I enjoyed the Banco Burrito and loaded it up with just about the kitchen sink.... When I say fresh ingredients cooked for it, that an understatement, phenomenal dish(two meals worth). My wife enjoyed the Chipotle Burrito and raved how delicious it was (again two meals worth) The service was great as was our server(I have forgotten her name). read more

First time trying this restaurant. Ambiance was very nice. Ordered the Taco Salad with ground beef to go. It was good. Nothing spectacular or anything. I asked for extra sour cream but I think the gave me extra guacamole instead. read more

Saw Cinco's in Rochester featured on a recent NH Chronicle segment, and glad we gave them a try. Stopped in on a Friday night, early'ish (5PM), before they got busy, and ordered Margaritas to start. I got a coconut cream small version, which was described as martini-sized (hmmm), but it was in a very large martini-shaped glass. Not small at all. My wife ordered a Popeye (spinach) chicken verde quesadilla and I went for the Carnitas with Colorado sauce. She really liked her choice and I loved mine! Usually I see pork paired with verde, which I also like, but mixing it with the brown/red Colorado sauce, instead, really pushed it to another level. There were a lot of waiters on duty and it was clear they were expecting it to get a lot busier, and I can see why. We'll be back soon! read more

I was both lied to and due to their incompetence wasted over an hour my time and 11 others. We called at 1 asking for a table of 12 disclosed our party make up and said we would be there at around 6:30. They said no problem. We arrive at 6:30 only to wait in line and be told it'll be approximately a 45 min wait, but we give them our number. We go to wait out side the restaurant and within 5 mins we get a text that they are ready for us. We send one person in to check in because that was incredibly fast for a 45 min wait, so we don't trust it. (Spoiler we were right not to) The guy we send in waits in line again for another 20mins only to be told yeah we can't take a party of over 5 people. Mind you can see a party of 8 so that was a lie. Where they could have prevented this bad review, was if they told us when we called we can't take a party if 12, or if when we put in for our table they said "sorry we can't take you we are busier then we expected," or if the text said the same thing, or even if when our other party member that went in to check was not forced to wait and extra 20 minutes just to be told no. Especially, because they saw him enter the door and just told him "sorry we actually can't take you." Instead we were waiting and being lied to on the table of 5. Then when I went to ask for the manager, she literally walked away. This was so preventable and in the restaurant's control. read more

I spent a couple of years in the southwest in the early 1980's, where Tex-Mex cuisine ruled the culinary landscape. I came home to NH searching for anything that compared, and found a desert of options. The only place around was Tio Juan's in Portsmouth, which was a sorry-assed example of Mexican food. I've been to all of them in the area over the decades, results ranging from dreadful to mediocre. La Corona in Rochester makes a really good margarita, but the food has sunk to pitiful. Sorry, Pepe, but it's just not good these days. Enter Cinco's in downtown Rochester. It's in an old bank - spacious, fun atmosphere. The food is excellent. I've been there five times now, and this is what I have been hoping for since the places I ate at in Colorado. Great flavors, great choices, great service. Strongly recommend. I hope they add street corn to the menu. read more

Moved to NH 5 years ago and this is the best restaurant that we've been to, in the whole five years. It is also the best Mexican food restaurant I've eaten at in over 20 years. Way better than La Corona or Margaritas. WAAAAAY better. The interior is super clean, something that I notice lots of restaurants around here are lacking. The tables and chairs look to be hand-carved, and hand painted. They are also super sturdy. They are definitely not cheap. Hubs and I went. I had the coconut margarita (fantastic) and the elotes del rey appetizer ($15.25 for the grande margarita and $8.50 for the elotes). We scooped up the elotes with the chips. I'd eat here just for the elotes! I never thought I would like corn so much. For dinner hubs had a 'pick two' duo of a beef and a chicken chimichanga. It came with refried beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream ($12.99). I had the Burrito Loco. It had grilled chicken, beans, and rice all wrapped up in the flour tortilla. It was topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, cilantro, and guac ($16.99). You can see the pictures; the portions are more than adequate. I ended up taking home 3/4 of my burrito. I really hope more people give them a try, I would hate to see them go under. read more

I was hoping for great food. I ordered a tostada with refried beans, cheese, lettuce and tomato's. And the Bandera enchiladas with chicken. My tostada was soggy around the edges, beans were luke warm at best. Sprinkle of cheese on the top. The enchiladas were not enjoyable. Chicken was cold in the middle, not much flavor. Rice and beans, on the side were ok. The free chips and watery salsa. No bueno. Maybe it was a slow night, or the kitchen was off their game. But there's nothing worse than a soggy tostada and bad enchiladas. La comida de México tiene sabor, pero esta comida no tenía sabor, qué lástima. read more

Pretty solid Mexican spot with a cool vibe. Had some rachero wings to start, they could be a little crispier which i will request next time, but the sauce was nice. I got a burrito mojado, which had really nicely seasoned meat. My wife got the carne asada plate which was legit, right down to the charred green onions. Spanish rice is on point as well. Our server was very good too, went above and beyond. Solid addition to our growing town. read more
