I picked up an order for tacos and queso with chips on Taco Tuesday. I was early getting to the restaurant and grabbed our order immediately after it was ready. With the 10 minute drive home, the queso had become a single block of cheese, which was extremely disappointing. I haven't eaten at Ay Jalisco before so I'm not sure if this is standard for the queso, but it was definitely not the dippable cheese dish I'm used to. We love this place! The remodeled interior is roomy, with pretty lighting and a fun vibe courtesy of the music. There's always a friendly conversation going on with the patrons seated at the bar. As for the food, all the dishes seem a bit lighter (healthier) than what I've had elsewhere. But it's big on flavor! The spicy green chili is so tasty! Add a bit to any dish for that extra kick. I also love the smoky red salsa and the queso. We've tried several dishes. Everything is so fresh, it makes you WANT to eat your vegetables. Looking for a sweet finish? Try the Mexican tiramisu. My husband and I ate at Las Palmas in search for a close to home go-to Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately I can't say this one will be it. The drinks were delicious and we happened to come during a margarita special which was nice. The food was underwhelming. I had tacos while my husband had a pork dish and both were, in all honesty, something we felt we could have made better at home. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star, the service here is absolutely horrific, guy that took my order was so rude while I was ordering, the music was up so loud and I couldn't hear most of what he was saying and when I said the music was loud and I couldn't hear he started to make me feel bad for not hearing him. When I finally asked him why he was mad he proceeded to scold me for standing up to him about my saying anything and told me I have a dark soul and needed Jesus, he even texted me after I left and didn't want the food anymore torturing me about how much I needed God. Have been here a few times with my boyfriend, most recently last night for dinner. It's gotten worse and worse each time. Avoid the white cheese dip- it was some of the most disgusting queso I've ever had. It was so thick it was like they poured it straight out of a Tostitos jar. It wasn't warm or melty enough, despite me sending it back to the kitchen at least once for them to reheat it. I felt bad for our sweet young waitress so I did not ask again even though when she brought it back it was hardly much warmer and just as thick & unappetizing. The guacamole on the other hand was delicious! Prominent lime flavor, very chunky, loaded with cilantro, onions & tomatoes- just the way I like it. Sadly the chips had a slightly old oil taste, but weren't so gross they were inedible as they were at least cooked & salted properly. The margaritas- we tried the house, perfect and blue- were all awful, not well mixed, too sour/bitter, overpowering flavors- just truly nasty. The only real redeeming feature of this meal for us was our entrees. I got the chorizo chicken tacos and my bf got a quesadilla. Both were very yummy- but really how do you mess up the basics at a Mexican place like cheese dip and margaritas? I'm sorry but that's inexcusable in my eyes. When I decided to spend the weekend in New Hampshire to visit a friend, we were craving for some Mexican food so we decided to stop here. I ended up getting their quesadilla Mexicana which was by far amazing. Definitely tasted authentic! One quesadilla consisted of beef and beans and the other chicken and refried beans. Pros: Extremely quick service. We ordered margaritas and they were made within minutes and tasted awesome! The food also came out before we knew it, we were probably talking for about 15 mins and our food was ready! So extremely impressed how fast it came out! I dig this place. There are lots of vegetarian options, chips and salsa are always good. I enjoy the side of rice they serve although it can be a little on the dry side. I love the veggie chimichangas and the bean tacos. I also wicked love the chicken flautas they have. Those things are DELICIOUS. Takeout is a little challenging, because you really can't wrap up crispy fried things, drive home, and expect them to stay crispy. Awful! My experience here was terrible. I LOVE Mexican food, I usually go to Rochester, NH for it! I visited on a Friday night, last summer. SUPER over crowded. Noisy inside. Waited long time to order, long time for microwaved (cold) Mexican food. I cannot speak to the drinks, only ordered a soda, no alcohol. I was very, very disappointed in everything. Used to be four stars but based on the last visit it has been downgraded to just meh. Good Mexican food in New Hampshire is hard to find and when Las Palmas first opened, they were on par with La Carreta in Manchester. The last visit, quality is way down. The house margarita is now a salty power mix that not even Applebee's will serve. Chimigana's I normally order used to have a cheese sauce on top was replaced by tomato and chicken filling had oversized raw onions. Overall i plan to visit one more time to see if things get better. If so I'll update my review or confirm the downward trend. read more

First of all my waitress treated us as if we were asking for freebies or eating for free throwing us the straws and beverages to start off, once we ordered the main dish, which was molcajete, when arrived it was a fajita plate, it didn't have none of the items on a molcajete plate, Tough they still served it on a molcajete plate, when I stated this to our very rude waitress, he just said that's how we serve it, there's nothing I can do about. If you want to try Mexican food please go somewhere else. Also told him that I was allergic to pineapple and told me I can't change the plate, not even say sorry. On the description on menú did not stated pineapple and in all molcajete It's always my go to plate to eat at a Mexican place.
