Placed a request for 4 on the waitlist (via Yelp app) at 7:30pm. We were told to check in by 8:19pm and that we would be seated between 8:19 and 8:39. On the way to the restaurant, our wait list time changed and we were told to check in at 8:46 (by this time it was too late to turn around because we were almost at the restaurant). We ended up not getting seated until close to 9:30. For a 2 hour wait, food was not anything spectacular. My table got the following: Cobb salad, grilled cheese, ahi tuna, and the salmon. Drinks were pretty good (sangria, orangecello martini, Manhattan, etc). Waiter was very nice and attentive. We got a margherita pizza to go. If we were notified sooner that our wait time was going to be way longer, we wouldn't have gotten to the restaurant so early. There were people tailgating with chairs and drinking on the lawn waiting for their table (pretty smart if you ask me!). I would recommend at least letting customers order drinks from the bar and drinking outside while waiting (I know a restaurant not too far that was allowing that). read more

I thought I wrote this review. That tells you that I have visited one to many restaurants before the Covid 19. So I came to this spot in Nj on Cross Keys road while visiting my family. This was definitely Valentine's Day. I remember because members mark was giving away free carnations and my sexy date loved them. We were traveling so I didn't have time to grab flowers. The wait on a holiday was great. We waited about 20 minutes when originally they said it would be about 44. I sat on the couches and watched the game while I wanted which was awesome. There is so much room in this restaurant and it's very refreshing and playful. There's a pizza area with a real wood fired oven. They have a few bars and this night they had live music. The artist played an acoustic guitar and he did a phenomenal job. We were seated right next to him and it felt like Tom petty was singing to us all night! Now to the food. Everything was very flavorful. I'm a HH guy so I went with a tapas style dinner. I wanted to try various items on the menu. My lady went with an entire meal and did Salmon and Brussel sprouts. We tried the empanadas, the wings, and I ordered a calzone which was amazing. I will definitely be back when this whole as the world turns...twilight zone edition is over. I want to preface this with that I've never had an entree outside of a salad at Cinder Bar. In my opinion, this is a great place to get a bunch of appetizers and drinks and just hang with friends. Cinder Bar was a staple for me when I wanted a quick bite and some drinks. The atmosphere is great, they can get a little crowded on a Friday, but overall you won't regret stopping here. Do yourself a favor and try their Bloody Mary, long island iced tea, and spicy margarita - yum! Also, just order the appetizers if you're not sure where to start, they are the perfect small plates to eat alone or share. read more

I've heard a lot about this place, especially that it is always crowded, so I wasn't in a hurry to check it out. My friends planned a dinner here at 5 on a Saturday. When we got there, the place was packed, but our table was ready. We sat at a semi private table in the back by the bathroom. I really liked the table, it was so nice to sit with your friends and not have all the craziness of a packed restaurant. Our waitress( who's name I forgot) was great. She was very attentive and we never waited for anything. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food & drinks. I had the Cinder punch which I really enjoyed, very tropical, reminded me of vacation. I've been hearing things about cinder bar from where I live, which is about 45 minutes away, so this weekend my old coworker and I decided to make the trek hwre to meet up for lunch. I was a little hesitant based on the yelp reviews, but I'm really glad we did. The location: they don't take reservations, but do call ahead via yelp. I put our names in for 1pm on a Saturday and we werre seated immediately when we got there. There was no wait, and there is an ample amount of seating available. The drinks-I got a banana drink and she got a margarita and we both enjoyed them The service-- the server was friendly and attentive. He asked if it was our first time there and explained how they do things. My water was constantly filled and our food came out quick. The food- this is where it exceeded all my expectations. I have been talking about the long hot pizza to anyone who will listen. It was incredible. We got a few small plates and the pizza to share, aNd I'm glad we got to sample some of the menu. Nothing disappointed. If you're there get the ricotta app!! It was amazing, as well as their candied bacon. dessert- was the only thing we didn't like. The zepploes were only okay, but I haven't had them in years and I'm not typically a huge dessert person, so I'm not gonna fault them there. Had numerous a great meal. The staff. Wow the staff. They make this place the great place it is. Always warm, friendly, and welcoming. I highly recommend spending time at cinder. My one singular complaint: why can't I buy the kitchen a shift beer? Two years I've come here and never ever had a bad meal, I'd love to show appreciation by buying the kitchen a beer. But was told it was not possible. That made me very sad. Bar service is some of the best, very attentive, and accurate. Two years of ordering drinks. Came here with a friend and was delightfully surprised by the experience. We were seated immediately, our waitress Nicole had fantastic recommendations, was super sweet and attentive; very fun to talk to so we will probably be asking for her every time we visit. I ordered the short rib cheesesteak, very tender meat full of flavor, and my friend ordered the portobello sandwich which had a very smoky taste- I've had a few mushroom sandwiches in my time and this is definitely one of the best I've tried. This place seems to stay packed! It's pretty big on the inside and very cool. If you want a seat at the bar you better get there early, or you can stand behind people until they leave and grab their seat. The beer menu is pretty big and the drink menu is pretty awesome. Cinder Bar has unique menu options that don't disappoint. Their host and wait staff have always been polite, friendly, and kind.

I've been to the original East Greenwich Township location of Cinder Bar numerous times but I'm thrilled to see that they now have a second location because I assume this means they are doing well and, selfishly, it's closer to home for me. This new location has the same great menu as the original. My favorites are their small plates because they have quite a unique variety and I'm always a sucker for good appetizers/small plates. We typically just order a large selection of them and share. The hardest part is deciding which ones to get because you can only eat so much in one sitting yet they all sound so good. If I had to pick just one, I'd probably suggest the short rib poutine. I tend to go to both locations at lunchtime, so we get soft drinks, but the fact that they have 200 whiskeys plus four house made cellos certainly is impressive and a good motivation to go for dinner sometime. They have a section of the restaurant that can be opened to the outdoors in warm weather months. When we were there on a slightly snowy January day, the windows/roof panels were obviously closed and we sat near the cozy fireplace as we ate off a table built of reclaimed lumber from the historic Philadelphia Broad Street Station. Good food, a cozy atmosphere and some local history... you can't ask for much more than that! read more
