We had a wonderful co-ed baby shower for our daughter and son-in-law at Cinderlands Warehouse out on the patio. Even thought we had some rain, the heaters and side shades made us feel like we were inside. This was a really fun spot. Menu was appealing, and I was excited the duck poutine was gluten-free. Ordering was all via mobile, and food and drinks all came out very quickly with no issues. I wish this brewery had been around when I was living in the city - AMAZING food, delicious brews and a fantastic outdoor roof deck right in the Strip. If you haven't checked out Cinderlands yet (or if you've only been to their Lawrenceville location), their location in the Strip is even bigger and better, with multiple floors of indoor seating in addition to their large roof deck. I had a great time last weekend sitting outside enjoying the rare sunny day in Pittsburgh, and trying several interesting beers. The food menu is surprisingly as good as it sounds, and the portions were very filling. I'll definitely be back! read more

We discovered Cinderlands a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much we've already been back twice! We've sat on the outdoor patio twice and the bar area once. They have mobile ordering when you're at your table, so you can order and pay directly from your phone. There's also a section in the mobile site where you can easily request a server if you have questions about anything. We enjoyed all the beers, but the Pog Whipper and Raspberries in Lemon Space are my two favorites. I've also gotten the Crunchwrap twice now - the beef is tender and has a lot of flavor, and the overall meal was delicious. The Buffalo chicken dip was more spicy than I thought it would be, but was good overall. We came for drinks on a Tuesday and realized they do taco Tuesday, so I'm looking forward to trying their tacos the next Tuesday we're here. read more

You will not be disappointed! Sunday brunch is fantastic, biggest pancake portion I've ever seen, split them with the table and enjoy the fruit punch syrup. Want something savory, get the veggie omelet and the crack potatoes, seriously crack - you can't stop shoveling them into your mouth. Although this place is surely popular as a brewery and its craft beers, we were drawn to its food menu and visited here with a group for an early lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed sampling a bunch of things: the pumpkin spiced pierogies, kale salad, smoked beets, roasted squash & goat cheese flatbread, and turkey wrap all hit the mark. The space was open and airy, overlooking the lagering tanks. Service took a modern approach, scanning a QR code to view the menu and order, and items were delivered to the table promptly. Its amazing what has been done to transform the former Spaghetti Warehouse into a sleek, modern, open and spacious setting. Check out the photo wall to see some of the construction and even a view you might remember. The second floor is where you want to be. Trust me on this; open air seating and an interesting bar with a wall completely covered in plants. The drink menu includes several cocktails in addition to the Cinderlands beer. It was pretty full of people when we arrived but we somehow we got a table upstairs with only a small wait - a few minutes. The staff who served us were amazingly attentive and we had a great time. Writing this review feels bittersweet as my first and only experience at this location of Cinderlands was both before I moved away from Pittsburgh and before our social lives changed with COVID. I met up with a half dozen coworkers here for my farewell happy hour. Though food and drinks were tasty, the service was very slow to the point that a couple folks started just going up to the bar and taking matters into their own hands. I had only ever experienced 5 star service at the other Cinderlands location, so I was definitely a bit surprised. read more

I was happy that we were able to hit up the new Cinderlands spot in the Strip District last weekend. I am already obsessed with their Lawerenceville place and heard this was even better. And it was! The new space is huge with a full downstairs and upstairs for food and drinks. They also have a second floor, outdoor patio that is perfect for nice summer nights. Both bars are stocked with their beer taps. We had a party of 8 on a Friday evening and got seated quickly. The beers were all very interesting, per usual. I stuck with a solid IPA that I enjoyed a lot. The coffee stout was delicious! I just was not in the mood for it that night but highly recommend it. Beer is also reasonably priced at about $6. Once our table was ready we all ordered. My boyfriend and I split a pretzel and cheese. The cheese was soooo good! We just had wished it was a bigger pretzel to enjoy it even more. Then, we had the piergois which were fantastic! The spinach and cheese inside of them tasted so good and different. They had a small spice to them making it even tastier. My friend had the Ho Ho cake. When I go back, I'm getting this for sure. It was not too sweet but still dessert like. I loved every minute of our time here! read more

We went here with a few friends for St Patrick's Day weekend. The service was quick and the staff was attentive. We got the Wagyu Burger, Turkey Wrap, Kale salad, and buffalo dip appetizer. Everything was satisfactory! I think the atmosphere is the biggest take away from this place - the commercial brewing equipment made for an aesthetic background for photos and games on the first floor provide distraction for the little ones. read more

Hands down our favorite brewpub in the city. The food is great and keeps getting better. From the sandwiches to the entrees, there are always a few super memorable meals coming out of their kitchen. One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. The ordering process is extremely cumbersome, especially if there are multiple payments sitting at the table. One order (of four) showed up 10 minutes before other orders. Appetizer showed up at the same time the 3 mains showed up, even though a note was put in with the order stating the appetizer should come out in advance. Mac and cheese and fried rice were so salty they were inedible. The appetizer (duck poutine) was so salty it was marginally edible, we left 2/3 of it on the table. Three of the four at the table believe the "duck" was actually dark chicken meat, not to mention the large chunks of fat in the dish. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I do like coming here in general, but have had a bad experience with a server being rude on two visits. Last week we were there during a Pens game and asked if there were any specials for the game (we saw a post online there were half off squish pours and $6 burgers that night.) He said no, they rarely do specials, especially not around the holidays. We double checked and showed him and it seemed pretty clear to me he already knew this and was lying. We go to try out this new edition to Cinderlands and I really liked it. It's huge! Whenever we want to go to the original location it usually is packed in there or you have to go at slower times to enjoy yourself. At the warehouse it still is very busy but we still had room to enjoy ourselves and drink great beer. It's hard to park here because there is street parking and everything was full when we stopped by. Behind the warehouse there is a parking garage that was well worth parking at. So I suggest if you drive by and can't find parking just go to the garage. We came here on a Friday night and t was really busy. There is a huge space upstairs and downstairs. We went upstairs to see if we can try out their patio because it was nice and warm out. The hostess said it would be like a 30 minute wait so we decided to get a table that was close to the bar. The bar was full too. I bet it's not this busy earlier in the day or the week days but it was very full here. It took awhile for our waiter to take our drink order but he got to us eventually and he was nice. We love their beer and it was no different this night. They have a full menu that always looks interesting but we passed. We were just interested in their beer this night. We stayed for over and hour and had a good time. It's a great atmosphere here for a brewery. It slowed down a little but then picked back up the later it got. Our waiter was good with us I think but it was still very busy. The bartender and the guy sitting next to me helped me put together a few beers to taste, and they were all delicious and unique to other beers I've had anywhere else--I'm so glad I stopped by! I also got the red lentil falafel with a side kale salad. I didn't realize the salad came with pine nuts (I'm allergic), and they quickly got me a fresh one without nuts. Every single thing we ordered was overseasoned. the chicken sandwich was awful, the BBQ flatbread had no flavor, cheese curds were soggy & we were chugging water because of the insane amount of salt on the fries. Beers were good, but the gin cocktail was not even 2 oz. Definitely will not return, and if you're going I suggest only getting beers. read more

So happy Cinderlands opened a brewery in the Strip District. They have a little menu with the typical bar food classics with an elevated twist. I really like the upstairs in particular with the outdoor seating, and I like their different sized pour options for those who would like to taste several different beers. It's a great place to come out on the weekends, even though they aren't open especially late relative to most of the bar scene in Pittsburgh. read more

It was a hot Sunday afternoon/early evening and the husband and I thought "hey we should grab a bite and some drinks". Immediately I say "Oh yes! Let's go to the new cinderlands location I've been wanting to check that space out since it opened". We hop in the car and make our way there. There's something posted on the door, oh no! is it a private party? Alas! it is not, their AC is on the fritz and they apologize for the inconvenience and sweat you will surely endure. We shrug and saw lets brave it! After a some time spent perusing the beer list, we pick our beers and start looking at the menu. We're both feeling something light/fresh. I immediately know I want a salad. Husband is on the fence but once the waitress comes with our beers she is ready to take our order. I opt for the caesar salad and he surprises me and goes with the wedge salad (you had me at pickled grapes, honestly). The beers are good as always. This place is probably my second favorite PGH brewery, but that's beside the point. The salads come, they're huge, they look amazing, I am so excited. I try mine, my husband tries his, we swap. We both love them. We decide to split our salads. His is light and fresh and cleansing. Mine is savory and rich but fresh. Subpar experience at Cinderlands today. We like it there - casual dining and good food. But our food was delivered to the wrong table and the server picked up the plates and attempted to delver them to us. My husband was O.K. with his because it spent less than 30 seconds on the wrong table, but mine remained for at least 3-4 minutes while they figured things out. Everyone was surprised when I requested a new dish. Even pre-Covid I wouldn't have accepted a plate that had been delivered to another table, and I'm surprised that the server didn't know better. read more

Dropped by Cinderlands Warehouse on their first day open to the public after partaking in the 5th annual birthday party for NEXTPittsburgh immediately next door at Kingfly spirits. Space: Way to transform the old Spaghetti warehouse into a beautiful, open space just in time for summer. Two stories, two bars, table tops, a large long bench to sip your beers at, an outdoor patio and a rooftop patio/balcony upstairs on the second floor. Fantastic. You will not feel crowded at this brewery. Oh, and if you peek around the corner you see the brewing space itself, very cool. I hope they offer tours. Service: Quick and attentive, helping me figure out my beer selection. I just moved back to Pittsburgh and was not familiar with their first locations or their beers, so they had no issues giving me tasters. Very helpful on both floors. Sips: and I eventually got the Skydog IPA. It was one of the three best selling of the night, including their Simcoe (which to me is just a sliiiiiight notch different than the Skydog) and the unfiltered Pilsner (their Dad Beer lol!) however, a great shoutout to the Pancake Galaxy: Blueberry - Tartshake Double IPA, which is just perfect for summer, IMHO. Snacks: Have NOT had a chance to try anything yet, so hence only really a 4.5 star right now, will come back soon. They have a well-sized menu from Snacks to Sweets, which I cannot wait to try. Extra Shoutout: On our way out down the stairs, my friend tripped over her feet and scraped her shins. Immediately (and this was lucky timing), AGM Steve swooped in and materialized a very large bag of ice for her hurts. The space is absolutely awesome, and the food and beer goes continues that awesome trend. For lunch one day I got the crunch wrap, and the best way to describe it is just what you think: a crunch wrap from Taco Bell. However, this is made with way better ingredients so what works well together in an 'industrial' level, works even better as a real meal! I also had the opportunity to try the banh mi, which was excellent as well. No one explains their food or beverage choices, what they would pair with or their process and equipment which is clearly visible and the beauty of their structure. Bartender was COLD, no personality. The limited waitstaff (food droppers) were just as unfriendly. Someone dropped a water jug, no ice, off at the table and I guess thats what you're tipping for? Food was delivered to table at different times so if you were "proper" with etiquette, your food was cold before other people at your table had their food. Although the food was good, definitely a disappointment and would much rather be a patron of a place where you feel like they want you to be there. Let's first start by saying that this place is ok, but to me just doesn't live up to the ratings. It always get the hype vote. I don't dislike the place but find it overrated. I've tried numerous food offerings during visits and just haven't been blown away. My wife and I visited yesterday for a kid free brunch. As always, the beer was delicious and they had a nice draft list. We looked the menu over and chose a locally sourced soft pretzel with beer cheese. I have never heard of a locally sourced pretzel but whatever. It was tasty and the beer cheese was even better. $6 for a single pretzel was a little pricey but it was good. We then both selected the smash burgers. I chose fries and my wife just had the sandwich. The fries weren't bad, some were a bit mushy from grease but overall not bad. The burgers really fell short of expectations. I'll give them credit for the delicious pickles. My burger was very well done, but palatable. My bacon was cooked fine. My wife was very disappointed with hers though. She removed her bacon as it was very well done. She thought this was what causing her mouth pain while eating. Not the case. Her burger was so well done that it was crunchy and hurt her mouth. She eventually gave up part of the way through saying she couldn't take it any longer. read more
