This is my first time to write on Yelp to show my support for a small business like Encino Nails & Spa. I've been getting my nails done by Bryan and his wife. The place is well maintained. And I like coming here coz they're always on time with appointments. read more

I went in for a quick mani/pedi on my lunch and was out the door within 45 minutes. Very affordable, and the lady (I think Taylor?) was very sweet and it was nice getting to know her, felt very personal. The place was very clean, and she gave an amazing massage with the service. My nails looked great....for three days. After that, the finger nail polish cracked off, and my cuticles took about a week to recover from the brutal push back. I might see myself going back for a pedicure, as that did last a full week. But I do not think I would go back for a standard manicure. Though I'm sure they last much longer if you get the gel manicure. However, I do really appreciate how nice and awesome they were, I just wish my nails had lasted more than a few days. read more

Ask for Bryan. You will not regret it. Your nails will thank you & you can thank me later. He is absolutely incredible. I have become a regular of his. I mean the beautiful long lasting natural full sets he sends me home with at a reasonable price & they are always exactly as I ask if not better. I mean a good full set that lasts is hard to find. At OTHER salons I've asked for the "natural" look and the acrylics fall off within a week! With Bryan I came in for a fill 3 weeks later (overdue but nails in tact). To top it of he's got a great sense of humor so your time in the chair isn't a bore. They accept walk-ins but call ahead. It's always best to call ahead. Taylor is excellent as well, and top notch pedicure job, also she does eyelash extensions!! As for polish they have a large selection of colors both gel and traditional polish. This place has gotten a face lift and a tummy tuck. I'm glad I decided to return. The remodel really made a big difference the space looks better and is more comfortable to return too. Super clean and great customer service. I needed a same day appointment and spent some time reviewing nail salons close to my place of work. I am extremely sensitive when it comes to anything with my feet, I unfortunately didn't catch the owners name who was working on my pedicure, but he was very meticulous in his work. He apologized for digging in but explained that he needed to dig in a little deep to clean out the nail beds and ingrown nail. This made me feel more comfortable with him and he also acknowledged my sensitivity. My manicurist also was detailed in her work. My hands and feet feel and look great. They were able to complete both services at the same time and I was in and out in about an hour. I really am considering making them my go to nail salon. read more

Pros- My nails turned out to be pretty nice. The salon looks clean. Cons- Only one person working in the salon on a weekday afternoon. Don't plan to get your nails done with a friend at the same time. The woman who did our nails was very rude. I said thank you several times despite her attitude and she never said you're welcome. Not even ONCE. If you don't believe me (or you just want a good laugh) just read the owners responses to customers who are anything less than happy. If you do decide to come, bring cash. Came here for the first time yesterday to get a pedicure. I haven't had one in awhile and wasn't sure what to expect. I had a very nice nice experience. Everyone there was so nice. It's such a nice, comfortable, relaxing setting. I really liked the women I got. She was so sweet and she was very thoughtful In helping me and showing concern for my knee injury. She was very careful. They had a great selection of polishes. It gets a little busy but for my first time I'm not sure how often it gets that way. Our pedicure was only $20. They do charge $2 to charge your credit card, But I didn't mind because they did a great job. I will be coming back again soon. read more

I needed a place to go to that's by my work and one that has reasonable prices. This is the place! Made an appointment same day at 5:30, and I didn't wait a minute after. Brian is awesome. We joked and laughed and most importantly he gave me beautiful nails! I was rocking the gel manicure for a hot minute, but I switched back to acrylic and was super happy with the results. He got the shape and length and color and design that I was looking for. He worked quickly yet efficiently. The whole process took about an hour and a half and I've been stuck at salons for much longer. Parking isn't an issue as it is in a plaza. I already made my two week fill appointment. Check out the new changes at Encino Nail! While I have been coming to Peter for numerous years and really appreciate the amazing work he does I was pleasantly surprised by Bryan. Not knowing my personal preferences, he took the time to get to know what I like and several times asked if it was I liked. Bryan's pedicure was also one of the "cleanest" one I have had. Taylor painted my nails very nicely and quick. I will definitely return and bring my daughters. I don't mind paying for quality and I was not disappointed!! The place has a new refreshing vibe too. Soothing wall colors, new and super clean equipment and a huge selection of nail polish colors including gels. It has been completely decluttered. Check them out! Came here for the first time today.. I was recommended by a Co-worker. She had only great things to say so I called to make an appointment during my lunch hour and walked over there. I went in for a fill and Bryan attended me. He was so nice to talk to and made my time there very pleasant. He did an amazing job with my nails and I will definitely be back. Taylor helped me pick out the perfect color and applied my gel polish. She took her time applying the polish and I was left with a perfect gel polish application. ( some places leave the gel polishes with little air bubbles which is annoying!) But Taylor left mine flawless! I am very pleased with this nail salon and I will be back! I'm a little disappointed in my manicure and pedicure I got today. I walked in which is normally never a problem. Today there were 2 other women getting pedicures when I walked in so they asked if I could wait 30 min. Sure no problem I don't mind waiting. So while I was waiting I decided to get a manicure. The woman seemed annoyed that she was gonna have to give me a manicure. She gave me a very half assed manicure. There is still some dirt under my right thumb nail. There is dead skin still in the nail beds. When I mentioned it to her she said just put lotion on it when I got home... My pedicure was by a guy who seemed to be in a race to finish. He did my whole pedicure in 15 min or less.. he did only one coat of paint and didn't go back and clean up my toes after I had them soaking in the water. I was done with my pedicure before the two ladies who had already been getting theirs done when I first walked in were. I felt cheated out of a good pedicure like they got. And he didn't clean up the edges from the paint. I asked them if I could get a birthday discount and they just laughed at me and said the owner wasn't there so they couldn't discount the price. $30 for mani-pedi unless you use a credit card they charge $2 for a card fee.. I normally go here all they time but after today I may have to find a new place. read more

Great pedis but roughhhhhhhh on the nails. The technician was grinding all the way down to the skin on my nail bed. I was feeling the heat from the machine and told him and he's just Continuing what he's doing and blaming the machine...Not his heavy hand. Never had i had a painful manicure. This was the worst. I saw pink tender skin under my nail bed showing. For two days my fingers were tender from him filing my skin and going so deep filing my nail bed. He Not only filed just my cuticle, all the skin surrounding the nail as well. He didn't even put a base coat on my nails. He just started with the gel polish. And now the gel is completely peeling off. I tried also doing a design with fine lines and he was so sloppy, he didn't even try to make a fine line. It was super chunky and shakey, i decided to not go with my original design because he was so bad. And he still charged me for a design. read more

This little gem is tucked away in a mini mall. I booked an appointment to have acrylics put on after work. They don't have an enormous number of colors, but they had more than enough for me. The guy who serviced me has clearly been doing this a long time and did a great job. He understood what I wanted for length and shape, and cleaned his brushes immediately when finished with them. Best of all, there was no pressure to get additional services. I was pleased with the price, and will definitely return. Update: I went back and got a long-overdue pedicure. From a scheduling perspective, this place is a mess, even if you call and book an appointment. On the weekend, they pack people in regardless of any attempts you make to schedule. The employees are also unfriendly and non communicative. There is no clarity in when you will be seen or how long it will take. In an area where nail salons are abundant, customer service often makes the difference, and that is non-existent here. It's a shame, because the place is clean, the polish selection is good, and the overall ambience is at least average. read more

As per usual in cheap salons, badmouthing customers in Vietnamese in front of them when they make a comment or special request. It wasn't a relaxing nor positive experience, mani pedi was very average, not sure why some are raving about this place, I won't return, nor recommend. read more

Called and walked in yesterday. Super cute and clean salon. Did a regular mani and pedi. Pedi was Bryan. Loved his work. I forgot my mani persons name but she was also very good. This place is busy so I suggest making appointments. Def coming back bc of cleanliness and the good work both employees provided me with. Not to mention it's right by my house! Dropped by without an appointment one weekday afternoon. There were two other people already getting their nails done. All I needed was a gel fill. They helped me out right away. I don't remember the guy's name that helped me but he was great! Loved his attention to detail. My nails came out amazing! Took a little longer than usual but he did such a great job with the shape that it didn't matter. They have a very small but cute store. Only downer is the parking situation. They have only 2 or 3 parking spots labeled for their store in that parking lot. If those are taken you'll need to park on the side street and walk. I liked it so much that I wanted to go back again for my next fill. I took a business card for future reference. When time came for another fill I tried to call but no answer. I tried again at a later time and still no answer. This went on several times till I was able to get in touch with someone. When I asked for an appointment I was turned away because they were busy. Wtf?! Never heard of it. The guy did a great job with my nails, but I guess I just got lucky that time. Haven't been able to go back there since. Fail! read more

Now that Michelle is not there anymore, I will never go there again. Old Review It's hard to find the perfect nail salon, but this is the best I've been to, and have been going here for 8-10 yrs, when I can get in to see my favorite nail tech. She's so good that she's always booked, so once in a while I walk in a random nail salon only to be disappointed. But every time I go see her, I'm very satisfied w her work. Cons. Peter, you need to order more nail color, the selection is outdated. And you all do need to stop yapping with each other while clients are trying to relax, like the other Yelper mentioned. And clean the dust behind the spa chairs please. Thankfully you have a great nail tech working for you and that's why I keep coming back. read more

So I've gone to Brian twice within the last three weeks and I really don't know how I ever trusted anyone else with my nails. I stopped wearing acrylic for a while because they always seemed so thick & fake-looking, but after expressing these concerns to B, he promised I wouldn't be disappointed with his work. The almond-shape acrylics are so thinly and neatly applied that they don't look like acrylics at all--something I didn't think was possible after trying four salons before finally arriving to this place. Not only is the work stellar, but the customer service and general experience is unparalleled. Everyone here is so friendly & committed to making their clients feel comfortable. Not to mention they're all hilarious and seem to genuinely care about how you're feeling. One more thing: I asked for a very particular evil eye design the last time & when I let Hannah know I felt like the outline was a little thicker than I hoped, she happily redid it and made it look exactly how I wanted.
