This is more a take out place with traditional Chinese appetizers and noodles. There are a few tables but it's very small. They have frozen dumplings to buy as a pack but they are all pork mixed in with leeks or cabbage. Pork is not my thing but if you like it, it's definitely a good go to place for homemade dumplings. I got the Ma-La Shaved Beef tendon and cold tofu mix dish. Both were good enough but I would not go out of my way to eat there. Bear in mind, I also live quite far away. Great place. It's a small hole in the wall with very limited parking, but it's worth it. I got the beef noodle soup with wide noodles, side of steam rice, and fish filet with black bean sauce. The beef noodle soup was delicious and surprisingly light. There was an abundance of noodles and the beef was tender and delicious. The fish was also tender and delicious. The first thing you notice, however, is a deli counter with a wide selection of appetizers. The kind hostess told us that if we couldn't decide, we could combine a half order of two different appetizers. We decided on the wood ear mushrooms and the thinly sliced tofu, and both were refreshing and delicious. For mains we split a beef stew noodle soup and a crispy pork chop over rice. The soup was rich in flavor, with tender chunks of beef. The pork chop was pounded thin and lightly breaded. Not too greasy. The restaurant itself is modest in size, but even at 2pm on a weekday, there was a steady stream of customers doing take out. This is one of my favorite beef noodle places and my whole family loves this place too! It's such a hole-in-the-wall, but they have the most delicious beef noodles! There's huge chunks of beef; the broth is rich and flavorful; the noodles are nice and chewy. I also LOVE the Chinese sauerkraut they serve with the beef noodles. It's really perfect for a cold, winter's day or any day really! The cold side dishes and dumplings they sell are also really delicious! I have a hard time choosing my favorite one to be honest. They pair perfectly with the beef noodle stew as well! The parking lot is small, but luckily, most people just order to-go and leave. Food was so delicious! Must try their beef noodle soup. We ordered the beef tendon noodle soup and other side dishes to go with. Everything tasted good! I love how their beef noodle soup isn't oily compared to other places. Very simple and flavorful. There is a counter area you can order side dishes to get to go. Really like how this restaurant isn't too oily but you can get classic Chinese/Taiwanese dishes. The shredded potato, cumin beef, sautéed green beans, and cold dishes that you get at the front of the store are my favorites. Not on the top of my list but the fish spicy bean sauce, twice cooked pork with leek, and the mustard green noodle soup are also good items to try on the menu. We've ordered from here a couple of times and usually getting around 6-8 different dishes is a good amount for a family of 8-10 people. Parking lot is a bit small so wouldn't say it's the most convenient location. Food is worth it to navigate here though. read more

The gem of the place was the lady operating the front/customer face of the place. She multitasked better than most, we're talking taking Togo orders over the phone, handling paying customers and helping seated customers. She did it all, with professionalism and grace. But apparently she is gone and this replacement is incompetent and rude. She can't handle any sort of multitasking without messing up, then has the nerve to low key blame the customer. It's like she has no people skills. And she is so slow, and easily confused. Totally Incompetent. Hopefully they find better help or I'm ready to buy my dumplings elsewhere. read more

Authentic Taiwanese Food in a hole-in-the-wall spot! My girlfriend's family and I were looking for food within the area that wasn't really out of the way and I was able to find this place very local to the Rowland Heights/Hacienda Heights community. Located in a small parking lot, this restaurant sits between other businesses that aren't very much popular. When we went inside, there were many customers during lunch so it was a surprise that the reviews were highly rated without many constant customers. The food was absolutely amazing. They're known for their soup noodle dishes so we got the beef noodle soup (excellent flavor, lots of umami), fried pork chop noodle soup (not too salty at all, just the right amount of flavor; fried pork chop on the side and not too salty. Tastes amazing with the ginger), and the dan dan noodles (which are dried noodles with peanut sauce and bean sprouts). Service was great, the young server was easy to talk to and we had nothing wrong with our order or our service, which naturally is expectedly low quality. Overall, I think this place is slept on especially since there aren't many reviews. I love this hidden gem and we will definitely come back in the future for many times to come. read more

This little hole in the wall is my FAVORITE place to get beef noodle soup! The flavor of the beef broth is always so tasty (and spicy), the slow cooked beef is always cooked perfectly and the house made pickled veggies fulfill my cravings every time. My parents love the mustard green and pork noodle soup for it's clear, and light broth. And our whole family likes the cold dish appetizers as well, especially the bamboo shoots in chili oil and the minced green beans with minced pork. They also have a veritable buffet of delicious handmade frozen dumplings for sale. We like the pork and leek dumplings ($17/bag) the best. My family and I have been happy customers since they opened up years ago. They've changed ownership once, but the food quality didn't suffer. The restaurant used to serve predominantly Taiwanese food, and since the change of ownership, they've add a bunch of new Szechuan dishes as well. The restaurant is small, but there are about 5-6 tables if you want to dine-in the restaurant. There is a small parking lot outside, that isn't too busy, and I've never had an issue getting a parking space. They're closed on Tuesdays, just a tip! You want Taiwanese tasting dumplings? ... COME HERE!!! You can buy them frozen and cook them when you want to. There are options of flavors but I always enjoy the leek pork dumplings! And, to top it off, there are cold side dishes that are amazing and delicious. Their options are fresh and very tasty. I recommend the one with bamboo and seaweed! There are some that look spicy but have quite a kick that I enjoyed, and I don't eat spicy. Our main dishes were ZhaJiangMian! We had a few desserts, too, but it was wonderful. The saltiness was balanced, the meat and sauce with the noodles were delicious and tasty. I LOVED the flavor because it closely resembled my grandparent cooking.
