If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I don't know why I continue he's going here after being disappointed multiple times. I guess the convenience to the distance from my job. However, the shape...let's start there. I asked for almond shape which I already had. All she had to do was file. I asked her to fix the shape three times and this is what I ended up with. It looks like I have press on nails! And the cherry on top was that she put the base coat as my top coat and fought with me saying she didn't. Finally another girl came over to fix it and believed me because the base coat wouldn't dry. At the very least they should have offered a discount but didn't. I am so displeased. Save your money...there are many places cheaper and do 10 times a better job. read more

Poor service of a pedicure and manicure - I was completely rushed through it; no scrubbing of the feet (the person next to me was getting a proper scrub and massage); it was the fastest turn around I ever had for a pedicure. I really wanted to ask if that was it after literally 5 seconds of a scrub. The manicure was worse - no massage, not even a double coat (it looks like there is no color at all) and she was aggressive and made my thumbnail bed bleed with the cuticles I believe. Oh - that stung a lot and she said nothing. That is a first for me - I've never had my nails bleed or been treated so badly. From the moment I entered, this person had attitude and threw my shoes in the corner. She did not apologize and when I spoke to the manager and she requested that the person, Elaine, apologize but then there was more attitude - shocking! I have no idea why this person was in a terrible mood. I had hoped that they would make it right by offering a re-do or to give me a pedicure or pampering treatment another time for free which might have had me come back to them - but they didn't. At my request, they refunded the manicure but they lost two customers (my friend was with me). I have used them for 4 years and found them 'okay' as it's a good location and convenient for me but this is the push I needed to find somewhere else that has good service. It wasn't a good experience at all - I left quite upset and wished I hadn't entered that day. The manager said the service was still given even if the attitude was poor when I asked what she would do to make this right (she said she'd speak with Elaine afterward). However, attitude is PART of the service AND I didn't get my feet scrubbed, I didn't get the hand massage and I didn't get the second coat of varnish. The only comfort was there were two other staff who overheard the whole thing and they were supportive. read more

I have been here twice since being recommended by a friend. Very clean inside and well decorated. Their staff is friendly and attentive. They have a HUGE selection of powder gel colors to choose from, on top of your usual regular and gel polish options. Both times my manicurist was a bit rough with filing down the gel, leaving the edges of my cuticles a bit raw, but otherwise the experience was nice and the manicure lasts a long while! read more

I moved and have tried numerous salons in Greenwich. Not a single nail tech comes close to Ella. When she does my powder dip my nails never break and they are long. I had to go to local places recently and two of my nails painfully broke and the rest don't look anywhere near as good as when she does them. Very clean, very sanitary. They do amazing pedicures but manicures? Absolutely not! These prices are absurd and its not even for a great job. A regular manicure without acrylics should not be more than $10! Ugh Rye. Anyways, they did horrendous with my acrylics because they all fell off within a week and my manicurist did not even follow the photo I showed him with my design. Pros: Very sanitary. I'm not sure why I haven't gone here all along! Cindy is so kind; she booked a quick short notice Saturday evening appointment for my dip powder nail removal and new set ($47). Kelly took care of me and did superbly fantastic work. I work with my hands and need three to four layers of the dip powder in order to keep them very sturdy - which takes extra time and care. Kelly and Cindy both knew what to do to make me happy. I added on a 10 minute massage ($10) - totally worth it. I'll be back next week for my pedicure, which I heard some rave reviews from other happy customers while at the salon this evening. Thank you, Cindy's Nails! I'm your new regular. read more

I am visiting from California and desperately needed a dip manicure. A local recommended Cindy's and they were able to give me an appointment today. The street the salon is on is super cute with fun places to eat and shop. The shop itself is cute and the staff welcomed me immediately. I first had a pedicure and selected the milky bath moisturizing pedi. Leah was my technician and she was amazing! The chair was comfortable and it's massage strong. Leah was efficient, considerate and gentle and I felt very pampered. After my pedi I moved to the hand section for dip manicure. Leah must have noticed my tight shoulders because a young man came over asking if I would like a massage - um, YES! - and he did a wonderful job while Leah worked on my nails. Everything was so nice! I get acrylic dip every two weeks at home and and this experience was so much better: gentle treatment of my nails and quiet and soothing movements by the staff. Very much worth the price! read more

I discovered the Rye location after going first to Harrison in the fall. Both locations have similar excellent customer service and attention to detail. But Rye's new salon is so beautiful and relaxing. The staff take such good care of you from the top quality services to the excellent choices of nail power and gel colors. I drive from Manhattan for the options and the expert work of the staff. The attention to detail is impeccable and the whole experience is such a pleasure. I have never been to a salon I liked more. Cindy's knocked it out of the park again! I've gone for regular manicures and pedicures before and have been really pleased, and went for the first time for a gel manicure to do something fun - they did a great job. The young woman who did my manicure was thoughtful, thorough, and so kind (I hadn't decided on a design before coming in, rookie move!). The gel manicure lasted 3 weeks and could have lasted longer. The salon is clean and bright, people were spaced well, and I always feel a little more relaxed coming out than I did going in. It's just a lovely salon. Easy parking as well - free street parking or a reasonably priced ($2 or so) lot around the corner. read more

Clearly when one goes to a salon they expect professional well trained staff and this salon charges high end prices for services. My comments are for the owner. I really like the cleanliness of the facilities. I have an issue with explaining to a manicurist to apply 2 coats of powder gel( this is a industry standard for all training of applications for this type of gel) if not it cracks. It did so I had to insist the second and third time a second coat. Guess what it did not crack. In addition I noticed, there is an attitude I found extremely unprofessional and demeaning last time. During my manicure I paused to check my white shape for my French- the manicurist did not communicate with me if I was happy but proceeded to squeeze and pull my hand like some dog ( sorry there is no other way to explain this behavior). I have had French manicure done at many different salon and never witnessed this unprofessional rude attitude. It is common practice to check to make sure you are happy with white shape or at the very least the manicurist should ask during application if client is happy to avoid removing and start over. It's a shame. I will not return. When people show you how they are the first time believe them. I am hoping the owner who seems extremely nice retrains staff on communication skills with clients. read more

The last 3 times I've gone for a powder manicure, my nails had cracked 2 days later, always by the same technician. I've even called requesting to have someone different and get the same person. The Rye salon is newer and nicer but the Harrison salon does a much better job with nails. read more

This is the second location of the very popular CIndy's nails in Harrison. I go to this one as it is closer to my home, and Rye has a better parking situation. It shares the same strengths as the first location, namely: -Impeccable work and attention to detail -Large polish selection in regular, long wear, gel and powder -Friendly staff who remember you and want you to be happy. -Calm, attractive environment. Everything is new! -Super clean I do recommend booking an appointment by phone rather than just walking in - they do take walk ins, but will not always be able to accommodate you. Some people think this is a negative, but I like it. I know exactly how long my appointment will take, I know I will be seen on time, and it keeps the atmosphere low stress and relaxing. The Rye prices are one dollar higher than Harrison, but hey, what do you expect, it is Rye :). read more
