It is where I was introduced to Dazzle Dry (DD), my preferred nail polish system, and where I realized doing my nails can actually be relaxing. I really enjoy their intimate set up (only two nail stations) and the biggest pro for me...no acrylic/chemical smell. They also do hair, facials, waxing, and massages, though I haven't experienced these services. The Dazzle Dry manicure is $30 while the pedicure is a bit more at $65. The service is so meticulous and gentle, it takes a full two hours. Their technique is different than what I have experienced in the neighborhood and their service is consistent. It truly feels like you are getting pampered and my hands and feet look brand new everytime. Sava is such a treat and well worth the price. If you've never tried DD before, it's vegan and said to last two weeks without chipping. This is mostly true, but of course gel (which they recently started to also do!) is king when you are going to be super active and in water. DD is perfect for day to day, and Sava has an extensive collection of colors. The owner, Iwona, is a fantastic technician, as is Monika. Love them both, and catching up with them is always fun during my service. I look forward to continuing to support this lovely business and feel lucky to have them close for my nail care needs. Heat damage is irreversible and ruins your natural curl pattern so all my hardwork could've easily been undone. Before having my hair blown out, I spoke with the owners and stylist at the salon about my concerns. They were very understanding and assured me that there wouldn't be any heat damage to my hair and are very knowledgeable working with natural coarse hair. They didn't try to convince me to put a relaxer in it and even stated that the texture doesn't determine if it's good or bad when the hair is healthy. That right there let me know that I was in good hands. And I was! My hair is very thick so it requires a lot of patience to work through. From the shampoo to conditioning, I was in heaven with having my scalp massaged without all the heavy handed pulling and tugging. Even the blow out was skillfully done without my scalp and ears being burned or small clouds of smoke rising up from the hair. This was what I was used to from before which had caused the heat damage to my already then chemically processed hair. They offer you beverages and the black/white ambience is very trendy, comfortable and welcoming. The owners who are a husband and wife team were very nice, accommodating and confident in the quality of their services. They have been in the hair game for many years and I have to say that I wish I knew about them sooner. I was so excited about the results! My hair still looked and felt healthy after the blow out. I couldn't keep my fingers out of my hair because it was still very soft. As for their rates, it didn't break the bank as their prices are very affordable and I am looking forward to pampering myself again at my new favorite salon.
