I walked in and was immediately greeted with by a polite young man. I ordered my 2 slices and a Snapple $11 and I have to say it was definitely worth it. Used to really like Cinellis. I actually remember when they first opened and we ordered from them a lot. Last few orders were not as good as always but the last time we ordered from them, two of us got really sick from the food. My daughter had pizza and I had a hero. There was literally one slice of chicken on the bread. Not worth the price and got sick from it as well. Never ordering from them again and I will be letting others know what happened to us. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cinelli's!!!! We ordered a Grandma Pizza and a White Pizza, i am not sure which was better!! The crust is so chewy and just wonderful. The ricotta in the white pizza tastes almost whipped, light like a cloud with a garlicy deliciousness. The grandma pizza has a great sauce and just a pleasure to eat. Cinelli's, Cinelli's... Their Carbonara is just perfect man. Today I went past about 50 spots all the way home to Elmont just to have Cinellis I ordered a pie for pick up. Drove over and picked it up. I like the curbside service it's kind of like nothing changed. I used to call it in for pick up in the past. Cinelli's has consistently great food, and we've been ordering from them for at least a decade. If you haven't tried the wings, I would definitely recommend doing so. Third time in a row I received a grandma pie that was either made earlier as a pie for slice and sent out as a take out pie or they are preparing the pie ahead of time and then reheating when the order comes in. The pie crust was like rubber and you could see they just added sauce on top of sauce that was made when the pie was first put in the oven. This is a common thing with pizzerias. When it's busy they make pies in advance and then when a takeout order comes up they pull that pie and reheat it and send it out. I get it. Sometimes it's busy but this is three times in a row. This is NY we could tell when a pie was made before a rush and then sent out later in the evening. read more

First of all they scratched their unusual but tasty sweet buffalo sauce recipe in favor of a generic, run of the mill, absolutely boring, average at best buffalo sauce. So the wings, and buffalo slice have taken a huge nose dive. Came in at noon today and every slice in the case was ice cold. You guys have been open not even 45 minutes and there's not a single luke warm slice in the joint? Here's the deal breaker for me and why on principle I will not be returning. I ordered a slice of grandma's and a regular slice and they charged me $10.17 for 2 slices of pizza. Most of the food here is good. Not great. But lately they are skimping on portion sizes. The calzones went up in price but down in size. Not worth ordering calzones anymore. The pizza has less cheese and sauce too. The crust seems to be getting wider. Would a pizzeria really do that? Paninis and hero sandwiches are really small too. Honestly, This place is amazing. My life was forever changed when I walked through the Cinelli doors. Instantly I was brought back to my childhood in Italy with the smell of authentic Italian Pizza. Let me tell you something this place does not mess around. They took my order with precision and speed but also care. Wow what a great experience. My family and I went to celebrate my Uncle's Birthday on 11/16/19, and the service and food deserves nothing less than 5 stars! Our waiter/bartender, Abe, was a terrifically proficient waiter with a wonderful old-world Italian charm. He catered to us extremely well and always made sure we were comfortable, even going as far as to switch on a lovely fire in the fireplace and change the temperature in the restaurant because my mother and over members of my family were feeling a tad chilly from the cold day outside. And try his cocktail, Abe's Passion, the balance is perfect between the vodka and juice mixers. Even the assistant waiter, a tall young fellow with black hair who's name I didn't catch, was just so welcoming, friendly, and helpful as he bused our table and delivered food. The manager even came to check on our table and assisted my elderly Grandmother when she dropped something. I've worked at an Italian restaurant before and I can assure you this was excellent service, and all the staff did a wonderful job. Speaking of the rest of the staff, let's talk about the chefs and cooks in the back. Holy cow was this food good! My family and I couldn't stop eating. Everything, and I mean everything was so delicious. The Lasagna Meatballs, the stuffed clams, the garlic and oil Mussels were to die for! The main courses were equally as good! All dishes were flavor packed, hearty, and great comfort food! And let me tell you, the food portions were huge and at an extremely reasonable price. As I was looking forward to a grandma pie I haven't had in a while along with some fried calamari I placed my order as usual. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened. The calamari had no taste, the dipping sauce was bitter and the grandma pie with bacon was saggy and with very little bacon although they charged me $5 extra for it. I'm trying to do my part and help the local business o n these tough times. But if this is what you intend to serve I may have to go elsewhere. My wife said that "everyone is entitled to a screw up every once in a while " so I'll give you this one. Please try not to disappoint next time as I'm sure my money would be good elsewhere.
