    Lamb Kabob Pizza
    Sammy K.

The food had delicious flavor. Unbelievable! The price for the amount is questionable though. It was not worth the money. I can't speak on the service as I have the dash pass so I wasn't there. I can't speak on the ambiance either because I had the food delivered. The food was terrific. The lamb kebab pizza and the tandoori wings were both spectacular. However, the value wasn't there as the pizza was ridiculously small.

2.5 Stars, rounding up to 3 Stars due to friendly customer service. I've had Indian Pizza in other places and loved it! I've driven by Tandoori Pizza many times and was always curious to try them. I had the opportunity to finally try Tandoori Pizza since I was at an event at another establishment down the block. I did takeout, and ordered the following: -- Archari Chicken Pizza w.extra garlic sauce (14" large pie for $31.80 with tax): Anchari chicken is typically very spicy, which I was looking forward to. The chicken was barely spicy and extremely dry. I had asked for extra garlic sauce (+ 50¢) in the pizza but I'm not sure if they actually put extra sauce, since it was so dry. Also, the dough reminded me of Dominos crust; very doughy and not very crusty. The toppings were skimpy and the pizza was mostly doughy bread. -- Lamb Kebab Pizza (14" large pie for $31.30 with tax): the dough was the same as the Achari Pizza; doughy and dry. The flavors of this pizza were stronger than the Achari, but the crumbled lamb was extremely overcooked, making it...you guessed it...very dry. Also, We found the price of these pizzas extremely high, given the skimpy amount of toppings and the size of the pizza. $31+ for a 14" pie with skimpy dry toppings and dry doughy crust is unwarranted. I don't know. Everyone else has rated Tandoor Pizza very high, so maybe it's just us who didn't like them. Or...maybe you have to douce the pizza in Ranch Sauce like everyone else?!?! I personally don't like Ranch Sauce on my pizza so that a big no thanks for me. Sorry! I still love Indian Pizza in general, and will continue to enjoy it, but at other places. I'm glad I finally got to try Tandoori Pizza though... curiosity satisfied! On a positive note, the staff is very friendly, polite and welcoming! Also, they offer discounts if you order online (not in person). So order ahead and save a few bucks!

Lamb Kabob Pizza with one slice Chicken Achari Pizza

I ordered the lg Lamb Kabob pizza to try and it was spicier than I expected. I liked the unexpected kick. The pizza was just ok. For a 12" pizza at $31.40 (tax incl.), it's a bit steep. The lamb was dried out and the pizza was dry in general. I suspect the lamb was already cooked and chopped before it went on the pizza. I think it would have tasted better without it being cooked ahead of time. I tried a slice of the Achari chicken pizza, and it wasn't spicy; I was expecting more heat. The crust was eh on them. Maybe the thin crust would've been better? They also have a BOGO 40% off 2nd pizza and other special deals available, but you need to go to the check out page and scroll to the bottom to see them. Based on the price and how dry the pizzas were. I probably won't return.

I had high hopes when I decided to surprise my husband with Tandoori Pizza and Achari Wings. Sadly the experience was a letdown. First off, the food was far too expensive for how awful it tasted. The pizza itself was a mess. The tandoori chicken was dry as hell, like it had been cooked for way too long. There was no sign of the creamy garlic sauce that was supposed to accompany it. Instead I got a bunch of dry, flavorless chicken on top of red onions, bell peppers diced tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, and mozzarella cheese with no real seasoning to speak of. As for the Achari Wings, they were a ln absolute disaster. They were incredibly spicy, but in a way that felt off. Almost as if they had been blackened to the point of burning, yet they didn't even have the depth of flavor that should come with that kind of heat. I'm all for a balance spice level, but when the heat overpowers everything else and the texture looks unappetizing, it's a huge red flag. I also asked for extra ranch, but the cups they gave me were barely filled. It felt like an afterthought. Honestly, I've been on the lookout for a place that combines curry flavors with pizza, but every single pizzeria I've tried that attempts to put an ethnic spin on pizza has been a huge disappointment. This one was no exception. I really wanted to love it, but it just didn't deliver on any front, especially for the price.

We've visited Tandoori Pizza twice -- once with siblings and once with friends -- and the food has been excellent both times. The flavors are authentic, the pizza is fresh and made to order, and you really do get that Indian taste. We would love to see actual curry used as the base instead of marinara though, since that would take the flavor to the next level. However, the prices are very high, so this isn't a spot we can visit often. For the price point, having a customer restroom would make the dine-in experience much better -- most people would prefer to eat a $30 pizza fresh in-house, not as takeout. One thing that really surprised us was being charged $5 per glass water bottle at the end. Since the bottles are already placed on the tables, it feels like it should be optional and clearly communicated. Transparency goes a long way -- especially with premium pricing. Overall, the taste is amazing and we'd come back for the food, but we hope to see more clarity and a few improvements in the dine-in experience.`

Read that this was one of the best new spots in the area for the year and was PUMPED to try it. Ultimately, a bit of a letdown. The menu options are so aesthetically pleasing it's unreal. Everything looks and sounds delicious, so I had a tough time deciding what to get. Admittedly, even the 12" pizzas seemed a bit pricey but I guess not for a gourmet-type pizza place. Was told 20-25 minutes and when I got there it was more 40-45. Which is fine as they seemed busy. The pies smelled amazing in my car, so I was super excited. Chili paneer: This really was as spicy as advertised. It really packs a punch. I didn't care so much for the paneer as it seemed like texture-wise was a bit of an afterthought. Achari chicken: This was much more of a letdown. Simply said, this pizza is tough to eat without a dipping sauce. The thing about both of these pizzas is that it loses the gooey-ness and sauciness of a traditional pizza, so everything ends up being a bit dry. The crust is great but again is not lending itself towards a smooth texture. I thought "creamy garlic sauce" would be...creamier. The flavoring was nice but this was really a detractor.

I was starving, and I was way out in Queens. Normally this would have me heading to Flushing, but it was late. Tandoori Pizza was open, and it was on the way home. More importantly, the rating is a solid five stars, and their website promised me a symphony of flavors. I've never once turned down a symphony of flavors. So I ordered a Tandoori Chicken pizza for pickup, and drove over there. I planned to take it home, but it smelled like...a symphony of flavors, and I decided to eat a slice before getting back in the car. The nice gentleman behind the counter saw me eating, and asked me if I wanted ranch with my pizza. When I hesitated, he nodded yes, you do, and I found myself nodding with him. And it was good. The crust was crisp, the toppings and spices mixed to make a wildly flavorful combination of tastes, and adding ranch to the party made this an incredible fusion of Indian and American food. This is what we do. We take other people's food, slap it on pizza, and cover it in ranch. And it's amazing. Instead of the planned slice, I ate half the pizza sitting there, and then two more slices on the drive home. Yes, I made a mess of my pants in the car.

Really interesting pizza place as they serve pizza with Indian flavors! Definitely not something I've seen often! I got their chicken tikka pizza and their Italian combination pizza which I really enjoyed. One thing though is that I wish the dough was less hard

Tandoori Pizza is a new chain that now has an establishment in NHP. The owners are super nice and ensured my friend and I that there are spare refrigerators for halal and not-halal meat and went as far as to even show us which was very generous of him. He was also super nice without being overbearing as well. My friend and I ordered achari wings and tandoori pizza (medium size pie) and that was more than enough food for both of us. I don't think we went in with high expectations TBH as we expected another generic pizza chain but we were both proven wrong. The food is amazing and you can tell that it is super fresh as well. The tandoori chicken pizza definitely stood out to me as the previous halal chicken pizzas I've had were too greasy, lacked meat, and just weren't really good. However, this pie was really good and had a nice white-base (light garlic sauce vs. the traditional red tomato sauce) that I liked a lot. All in all, I will 100% be returning back with the family and am eager to try their other pies!

I stopped in to check out pizza with an Indian flavor. I love when someone takes a classic food and adds their culture into it. The food, the pizza was excellent with great flavors from India. I had two pizzas both of which were full of spice and flavor. The service was great with the guy behind the register. Also making all the food in the back. It is a decent size restaurant with plenty of seating

As always the tandoori pizza was great tasting and perfectly made to my request. I'm not much of a bell pepper fan so I opt for it not to be on my pizza. Also, I ordered the tandoori wings, spicy and well made like I like it. I ordered to go as I wanted to see the Knicks win and enjoy my freshly made tandoori pizza. Service is always up to par and they are very welcoming and friendly. Tandoori Pizza inside is small with 6 tables but maintained well and always clean. They do offer beer, wine, mango lassi, fancy water (which is delicious) Indian and American sodas. Keep it going Tandoori Pizza!!

Very unique and interesting approach the pizza. Tried two different pizzas, which were absolutely delicious. Made fresh. Place was very clean and service was fast. Will return to try some more options.

I had a similar Indian pizza in Oakland a few months ago and loved it, so I was excited to see something similar pop up here in ny. The pizza and wings were bomb and the leftovers have reheated so well! I was overwhelmed by the pizza options, so I called in to place my order and asked for recommendations. They recommended the Malai pizza and the Achari wings. They both SLAPPEDDD. Perfect amount of spice and the ranch was perfect both for the wings and pizza to cool things down. The store is clean with minimalist decoration, and a handul of seats if you want to dine in. I'll definitely be back to try more!

The first time, I ordered the fried calamari with red pepper sauce for $24. There was far more breading than actual calamari, and the dish was severely lacking in seasoning. It honestly made me wonder if anyone in the kitchen had heard of salt and pepper. After I called to explain my experience, the staff acknowledged that they had received similar complaints about their takeout calamari and invited me back so they could make it right. Today, I stopped in and ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza with sausage and extra cheese. Unfortunately, the experience was no better. The pizza wasn't even heated enough to melt the cheese. The sausage appeared undercooked, wasn't sliced properly, and was served in large chunks. I work on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city, where a comparable slice costs about $6. Here, I paid $8 for a slice that was bland and lacked flavor. If you're considering dining here, I would recommend spending your hard-earned money elsewhere. Based on my experiences, the food was overpriced, poorly prepared, and simply not worth it.

Sorry I won't sound that way in this review. I don't jump on YELP to review right away unless something's really got me irritated and fed-up. The Ambiance is basic pizza place IMHO.. Plenty of tables and space. I've eaten pizza and pasta dishes for at least 65 of my 70+ years on this earth and worked in a pizza place during the late 70s-early 80's and I KNOW my pizza AND pasta, especially the sauce. Today's baked ziti and baked stuffed shells was literally out of this world, meaning it tasted like it came from an alien, possibly one of those we've been hearing about on the MSM news. It Was HORRIBLE! No, I don't have pictures because I do NOT have a cell phone or a cam. My wife does but she is not home today. Trust me, I do NOT knock pizza places unless it is well deserved, like this place. This was the 3rd time I've tried this place. The 1st time I ordered the same as today. It was delicious. The 2nd time I ordered a round cheeses pie which was a bit too well done for me, so not satisfied. The very 1st time I had just a slice or 2 and was very satisfied, which is why I went back. Today, I'm sorry I decided to stop there. It's a total waste of $27 as I can't even eat this. It looks and tasted like leftover food from last night. The stuffed shells were way overcooked. So soft that when I attempted to transfer to a big bowl, they fell apart. Too soft and the "ricotta" was not creamy or melted. It looked like ricotta does when it's gone bad. I was afraid to eat it, THAT'S how bad it looked. I did TRY it along with the baked ziti, but not good at all. So, you might wonder how the baked ziti was? HA! NOT GOOD AT ALL! The ziti tasted as it looked. Overcooked. Some brown "burn" spots on the mozz, (very little cheese) and the same "expired looking" ricotta. I tried a couple fork fulls but it tasted burnt to me. well done, burnt and dry. Sorry guys but this was horrible and unacceptable. This was to be for my wife and me tonight. Now I'll just make my own, which I'm quite capable of and KNOW it will be edible and much much better than the garbage I was given today. I would call but the convo would not be pretty since I'm in a rotten mood, so I am just writing it here. I won't waste my time or gas in bringing it back. This place is NOT around the corner. I was just passing by again so I figured I'd get some hot food. I should've stuck with the pizza. I mean really; how do you screw up baked ziti and shells? There's 3 ingredients plus the pasta. The Ricotta HAD to be bad to begin with and then the overcooking it compounded it - or vice-versa. I hate throwing away food but this is going in the garbage AFTER I get my wife to take a couple pics. Both meals are in a big bowl, mixed together since the shells fell apart and I THOUGHT maybe the ziti could be salvaged using some of the sauce from the shells but even then, it tasted horrible. Obviously, Enzo's is off my fav. places to eat pizza/pasta list. It does take the #1 worst ziti and shells spot though. So bad I wouldn't even want another order if offered. I'll take the loss. It's not the first time I've wasted cash. Live and learn. Calda, Positano's, Sbarro's, Gino's and a couple other places nearer to me have yet to disappoint, so I'll stay with them. So now, having just wasted $27 and annoyed at that thoughh it could've been worse, I'm going to drink my blues away with a beer or 3 and then I'll feel better - or fall asleep in front of the TV. If my wife takes a picture and we can figured out how the heck to upload it from her phone, I'll do that as soon as possible. EDIT: The bread given with the meal was also hard and cold as if ( again ) it was leftover from yesterday or even before then. But from what I recall about the bread, it looks a lot better than it tastes. I'll be throwing that out too.

We ordered a slice of Grandma pizza, cold antipasto for two, calamari fritti, Caesar salad, pasta alla vodka, shrimp scampi, and chicken Francese. Needless to say, we left with plenty of leftovers. The standout item was the Grandma pizza, which was excellent. The crust, sauce, and overall flavor were exactly what we were hoping for. The other dishes were good, but generally average and not particularly memorable or exceptional. Nothing was bad, but aside from the pizza, nothing really distinguished itself from similar offerings at other local Italian restaurants. The service was personable and friendly. However, it fell short of exemplary. We had to ask several times to have our water glasses refilled. To be fair, it was a very busy evening and our waiter appeared to have his hands full, which likely contributed to the oversight. The décor felt somewhat dated and could benefit from an update. While ambiance isn't everything, it does contribute to the overall dining experience. For us, the biggest drawback is location. At about a 25-minute drive from home, we didn't find the experience compelling enough to justify a return visit. There are simply too many other restaurants on our list that we'd rather try or revisit. While we don't regret giving it a chance, it's probably a one-and-done visit for us.
