I was (I thought) fully prepared to overpay for popcorn & bottled water to help support the theatre, but was agast at just how much they were charging. The smallest popcorn & bottle of water would have cost @$15, more than neutralizing the "deal" of $5 Tuesdays! Come-on management... let a deal truly be a deal. Now I understand why there were so many vacant seats. Which leads into my next complaint. The ticket sales clerk showed me a screen of available seats and it appeared that only 3 seats were available. Unfortunately, I pick one next to an ignorant man who talked throughout the movie. (Hope he reads this.) As it turned out, there were lots of empty seats in the theatre. At first I didn't want to move, to allow for late arrivers to get their assigned seats. I ended up staying put so as not to disturb others mid-movie. I don't understand the theatre's motive in providing incorrect seating information, cuz I don't believe that that many no-shows occurred. Even seperating the ignorant customer (not the theatre's fault) from the theatre issues, it did not prove to be a welcoming return to theatre! If you want to remain profitable, make your concession prices more reasonable and your volume will increase (for real - not like the bogus occupancy shown on your monitors).

We bought out tickets before the show and the attendants let us check out the theatre first to pick out seats. It's a small theatre, so I appreciated being able to check out which seats had, imho, the best view. The show started on time and the movie was great. They have, draft beer, popcorn, soda, water, candy, etc. You can also bring a beer from bierport into the theatre for a small fee! I would check this theatre out again next time I'm in town.

He basically made me feel like I was lying about paying for my popcorn initially , which I have on my cash app receipt . He got smug and said do you want a manager ? Of course I do . The manager came over and was super nice and understanding , the black gentleman. He listened to me and was trying to fix it , in the end of his side he did just that . The employees that are working behind the counter that were talking about me and other customers , we could hear them. They need retrained in customer service!!! Well this time…read morewas a little different it is an odd thing that happened and probably doesn't happen all the time if ever but there was only 4 employees which none looked more than 16 or 17 years old and I don't blame them it is the manager problem and should have a lead person that is more experienced working with them. So we were in the film about 15 minutes and there was a thunderstorm that knocked out the electricity and then it came right back on but the fire alarm came on thought out the whole place and first we all waited about 15 minutes before an employee came in he told us to stay seated and they would be starting the film again and get the alarm off, 2 minutes later he came back and said everyone had to go to the lobby and the firemen would be turning off the alarm. So the whole lobby was full and the firemen men came but they had to check each theater room and they worked on turning off alarm. We stayed for 35 minutes but they still could not get the alarm to stop, so we asked for a voucher for another time and received it. You could clearly see that the employees were not trained for this kind of situation.

You should plan on arriving early, it's well attended, so think about bringing chairs or a blanket and picking a good spot in advance. The sound is very good. The musicians play in the Cityparks portable stage. We sometimes hike around the Reservoir afterwards or enjoy the line dancing that happens afterwards at the fountain.

Unfortunately due to the location, it is hard to see the stage unless you are close up to the front--it's not an upward sloping hill lost most other venues. The acoustics are also the best as there are a lot of people chatting and the speakers are not great. It's more about hanging out than the music. Afterwards, there's also a fun FREE Sumer Soul Line Dancing class over by the water fountain. Be sure to check it out in August!
