Back again for date night to see spiderman! No problems and able to get our food and snacks pretty fast once again,

I enjoy this theatre, free parking and easy entrance, you get the value of quality provided in the affordability of food and ticket prices! So glad Cinemark still exists.

I went to Cinemark Baldwin Hills tonight. I saw Backrooms. My movie watching experience was mixed. I could hear people chattering throughout and it was distracting. The movie screening itself was fine. I like that I purchased my ticket at a discounted price.

It PAINS me to write this, because I was raised in this era and can remember what it was to see Magic Johnson Theaters come to our community, after years of neglect. Cinemark purchased this property and I've been here twice since then. The first experience wasn't as busy. The theater was okay, but not properly cleaned. I didn't care, but I did. I came recently to see a movie on opening day and the concessions line was absolutely insane. There were two cashiers and two employees pulling food, popcorn, etc. I waited in line for roughly 20 min, pretty much most of the preview time. I got to my seat and the picture attached shows the condition of the seating in the theater. I have many thoughts about how underserved communities receive less attention than others. However, that's another topic. Some of these are basic housekeeping and customer service standards that are not being addressed. Cinemark in other areas are not in this condition and would've been properly staffed to handle such a busy summer weekend.

Review #921 2025-098 I'm not usually in this area, but my friend received 2 extra tickets to see "Stitch Head" at the Cinemark Baldwin Hills. Waze was pretty accurate leading us to the theater & grabbing a parking spot close to the entrance. I'm not familiar with this brand because it's not close home (at least I didn't know until I looked them up). They're based in Plano, TX with a few operating near in S. CA like Carson, Long Beach, Downey, etc. My son & I ate linner prior to joining Lily W. & her husband so we skipped the movie snacks, though my son brought some of his Halloween candy as his post meal dessert. The concession stand is quite large, & was without lines for a Saturday evening even though there were plenty of good movie screenings. Check-in was easy since my friend arrived first & passed me our tickets to be scanned for entry. We were in the smaller theater in the back & almost had the whole place to ourselves with the exception of a family & a couple. We got center seats on the 1st row of the stadium seating so no view obstructions & I can rest/stretch my legs on the railing. The seats were a little lumpy, probably because there's a lot of movie goers. The sound system was crisp, though a tad too loud. The theater itself was clean. Stitch Head is an animated monster fantasy comedy with some cutesy songs; it's based from a graphic novel of the same name that's written by Guy Bass. It follows a mad scientist's 1st creation that guides & cares for his master's monsters, who is obsessed with creating new ones & ignoring them once they're alive. He later leaves for the circus, lured by potential fame. Stitch Head believes he's loved at the circus, but his friends, Creature, Arabella, & others, show him otherwise, & eventually make peace with who they (monsters) are & the Grubber Nubbin townsfolk, & accepted into the village as one of their own. Cinemark Baldwin Hills is not my preferred theater by location or brand, but it served its purpose... showing a fun family movie with great sound technology in a theater that we almost had all to ourselves.

Went here today to see truth & treason. Even though I saw first 30 mins of movie I had to leave because freelance client hit me up. Definitely will see the rest of it at home. There was only 1 person in theatre with me. I highly recommend this location if you want to go to movies with not so many people in theatre in morning.

LILO and stitch with my little family on opening night . 10/10 would recommend ! I preordered my tickets and popcorn so when I got there it was ready !!!

Overall the experience is okay. Best part of this theater is the large and free parking lot. The seats are worn with some of the upholstery peeeling off in areas. Standard concession area. This location doesn't have a restaurant/bar, so you don't get any of the nicer food and drink options. Staff here is friendly and helpful. This is the closest location to my house, so I'll keep coming here for standard viewings. However, I'll have to go elsewhere for an upgraded experience.

What I enjoyed the most about my visit to this theater is the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. As packed as it was for the first night of Sonic 3, the staff were very impressive. Tazra served popcorn and slurpees to my mom and I and she was very patient and attentive as well. She took the time to make sure I was able to carry our items to our seats. Isaac, one of the security officers answered our questions concerning the pick up of orders at the concession stand. He didn't come off to busy and showed his concern for us. The D-Box experience was very comfortable and awesome. I love the fact that you can adjust the vibration and it didn't vibrate throughout the who entire movie. The size of the popcorn and slurpee combo was impressive as well. I'm definitely coming back. I really enjoyed myself.

Went to this theater to see Beetlejuice matinee style on a Sunday. It was only $10.25! The theater was pretty empty and the seats were comfy. Many, many snacks to choose from. I can't say how it is when it's busy, but I am old so I like to avoid crowds. I hadn't been to a theater in so long but after I left here, I was like: "I can do this again!"

At a recent showing, I ordered the Culver Combo and the popcorn was almost entirely small, crumbly fragments, the tiny broken bits you'd normally find at the very bottom of the bag. It was basically impossible to eat. I got a refill halfway through, assuming I'd just gotten the ends of a batch, but the replacement scoop from a fresh machine was no better. On top of the texture, the popcorn also just doesn't taste good. it had a slightly burnt taste every single time. 2) About an hour into every movie, it becomes obvious there's no AC or fan running. I wouldn't be surprised if a CO2 monitor showed elevated levels. I've flagged this to staff on all three visits, and each time turning on the AC fixed it immediately, but it's never on by default. Sitting in a hot, stale theater for two hours is genuinely unpleasant, and the difference in air quality the moment you step into the hall is obvious. I really want to like this theater, it's a local business and I'd rather support it than a big chain but I won't be returning unless these issues are addressed/fixed.

Arrived at the theater on time at 6:15pm, my lady and I ordered our popcorn, a pizza and 2 soft drinks. Around 6:20 the so called previews were to begin and all we saw was a black screen with pure sound only. The previews sound stopped, the light came back on, shortly after got our food order, great. 6:45pm came and the movie finally started with no previews, no opening credits, pretty sure we missed the first 10-15 minutes of the movie. I started to become very disappointed of how my experience started but I couldn't let that ruin our date night. The movie was overall amazing, didn't disappoint as much as the theater experience did. On top of all that, this brand new theater in Inglewood that just opened in 2021 has the worst looking armrests on their reclining seats in the IMAX theater number 1. Technical issues should've been announced before hand and the movie should've at least been rewound to the beginning. Tickets are not as affordable as they were and when you're spending $25+ per ticket, all one asks is to at least get what they pay for. Btw, the waitress that attended us was superb, so sorry I don't remember her name.

I've been to…read morethis type of luxury theatre many years ago and it's definitely a good way to treat yourself. My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

Last week, we attended a showing of Toy Story 5 at the theater. We learned that not only is the new ownership not offering food service during the transition but intends to abandon that amenity altogether. This is among the most foolish decisions that could be made from a business perspective and will undoubtedly result in a total loss on the owners' investment. The building has a gigantic kitchen going to waste. The screens are small, and the ticket prices are high. The sole reason people have chosen this theater over the numerous options (e.g. Century City AMC) is its special quality of in-theater dining and expanded, up-scale fare. It is absurd that the owners are trying to spin this as an improvement, claiming this unique feature has been "retired in favor of elevated food & beverage offerings -- designed to enhance your cinematic experience by reducing service-related noise, light and other distractions." No amount of polishing to the menu at the tavern will offset the loss of clientele brought on by the abandonment of the in-theater dining option. The owners need only look to the onslaught of terrible reviews streaming in across Yelp and Google or the consensus of complaints in the Reddit community to understand the extent to which this misguided approach will devalue their investment. They will certainly be losing our business until this irrational new approach is reversed.

For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service.
