Small movie theater but it's comfortable! Their customer service is not really cordial, but at least they aren't rude. Most of the times when my family go and watch a movie we chose to go during the morning which is usually empty. It's kept clean and the seats are really comfortable! I like that they are recliners and I can stretch my legs and be extra comfortable while watching a movie. Their popcorn is good, nothing particularly special but good. Their ICEE is also good. They have snacks, soft drinks, wine and other drinks. I wanted a tea since it was a cold morning today, but they hadn't opened their bar area yet, so I couldn't get one. Good movie theater!

Century 10 is a great spot to catch a movie. Starting with it's comfortable reclining chairs. You literally put your feet up while watching the movie. The concession stand is fully stocked with all the usual movie snacks as well as beer and wine. Every time I've been to the theatre it's been clean and well maintained. Century 10 is a great spot the next time you want to go to the movies!

I have been going to this theater for years and I have never been more disappointed. Over the years I have grown both mentally and physically but this theater has never grown. It is always the same issue. Popcorn is always all over the ground and it gets stuck in peoples shoes. This theater will always shock me to how garbage it is. 1 out of 5 stars.

Ahh the movies!! Great place to catch the latest movies in the heart of beautiful Downtown Ventura. I love this movie theater, very clean, friendly staff and fantastic seats. We watched Kung Fu Panda 4 and we all had a great time. The popcorn was fresh and the red Icee was tasty. Some of the seats are starting to sink in, but they are still comfortable and the fact that they recline is definitely a big plus!

The snacks and seats that lay back! Some dude sat next to me when i was trying to have alone time... that's my only complaint.

The seats are very dirty every time I go. The popcorn is also very stale. Movie theaters are also very warm, even at night.

Buy tickets at the theater and save yourself the online fee. 2 small bottles of water and 1 candy was $17. I know they make the majority of their money from the concession sales but I will forever complain at those prices. However; I felt like $12 a movie ticket was pretty reasonable. The theater seats were comfy and ours would rock a little. It was clean and staff was friendly.

I love seeing movies theatrically. And this facility is clean and comfortable. Credit where credit due. The issue I have with this place is the customer service at the Snack Bar. I like my popcorn hot, and let me make it clear, I'm in no hurry. I will stand aside and wait to get in line however long it takes until I see a fresh batch is being popped. I time it so I'm placing my order and the popcorn is being emptied from the kettle. I smile and give the counterperson my order. I ask politely if they would please scoop up that wonderfully hot popcorn they just popped. The employee usually says, Sure! Then one of two things happen: Either they proceed to shove the popcorn scoop as far down into the popcorn receptacle as their arms will allow, and dredge up some lame ash barely lukewarm popcorn from the depths. Or they use the scoop to swirl the fresh, hot, newly popped popcorn into the already cooled off popcorn, squandering the opportunity to fill my damn bag with the freaking hot popcorn I requested. All they have to do is scoop the hot popcorn in the bag. Don't mix it in with the old first. Just put the damn popcorn in the bag, while it's still hot! So, yeah, if they could just accomplish that one simple task I would be rating this place a solid three stars. And I would be a regular customer. But I like to enjoy some hot popcorn with my movies, and I accept that that is never going to happen here. Your most earnest supplications will be denied. Consequently, the only time I see movies here are for special screenings. Often they feature screenings of random hit movie's 25th or 50th Anniversary release. I've seen several here, and I really appreciate that they exhibit them. Sure wish they would offer hot popcorn though. They'd be so much cooler if they did. I'd go to way more movies, that's for sure. I swear, I'd pay $5 extra for actually hot popcorn. Mikey C says: shouldn't have to, but would.

My kids and I come here pretty regularly, and we've always had such a great experience. The theater is always super clean and really well maintained, the seats are comfortable, and even the temperature inside is perfect. I'm someone who notices when a theater is freezing or uncomfortable, and somehow they always seem to get the AC just right here. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I have to give five stars to the food and bar too! We always end up ordering something. The salted mini pretzels are a favorite, and the hot dogs are pretty much my go-to every time. The bar is a plus! We also LOVE seeing movies in Dolby here. If it's a movie we're really excited about especially, that's usually how we want to see it. I really don't have anything negative to say about this location. It's comfortable, clean, the service is great, the food is good, and we always have a great time. There are plenty of theaters to choose from, but AMC 14 Thousand Oaks continues to be my favorite. The only thing I would complain about is they don't bring the food to your seat anymore, you have to wait for it now after you order it. Would be nice to have this accommodation come back to this theatre.

I was really disappointed with my experience at TO AMC 14. The theater itself felt unkept, but what…read morebothered me most was the lack of customer service. I ordered popcorn and noticed I was getting the very last popcorn from the batch. While I was still standing right there in line, I tasted it and it was stale and chewy. I asked if I could wait for a fresh batch instead, and I was told that if I wanted fresh popcorn, I would have to pay for another one. I hadn't even left the line! The employee also seemed visibly annoyed with me just asking, instead of trying to help or make the situation right. On top of that, the younger employees behind the counter seemed more interested in talking to each other than paying attention to what was going on. I also noticed there were no napkins out and the counters were kind of dirty. When I asked for napkins, it honestly felt like I was interrupting their conversation, and they seemed annoyed that I even asked. Going to the movies isn't inexpensive anymore, and part of what we're paying for is the experience--the atmosphere, the snacks, and basic customer service. If theaters want people to come back instead of just waiting to stream movies at home, the experience has to feel worth it. Unfortunately, this one didn't. Something as simple as fresh popcorn, clean counters, and a little basic customer service would have completely changed how I felt about the visit.

First, because this is another stop in…read morethe Passport 2 History book, and the hostess was delighted to see us bring in the Passport. Kudos! Second, the hostess / cashier was extremely welcoming, informative, and gracious. She was happy to see us, which is always a nice feeling. She let us know that there was a group meeting down in the basement about to get started in 7 minutes, but that we could go down there to see a collection of weavings on display. We popped down to check them out. While not mind-blowing, it was a fairly extensive grouping of closely woven pieces of varying size and design. Back up on the main floor they had their current traveling exhibit of artwork from the collection of the Mullin Automotive Museum. The varied works of photography and paintings in various media are as striking as the autos that inspired them. Well worth experiencing for those who love the sleek lines and elegant components of classic cars. Having been to the Mullin, I don't remember the artwork as much as the cars, which suggests that highlighting the art is a worthwhile endeavor. Because these works were not the property of the Carnegie, but rather on loan, photography was not allowed. Up on the second floor, selfies only were recommended, but photos of the museum's permanent collection were okay. The current selections are of the plein air style, with emphasis on California subjects. Cornelis Botke (husband of Jessie Arms Botke, noted Ventura County painter) is represented with one of his landscapes. I thought I recognized the Botke name. Jessie Arms Botke's works are currently featured at the Santa Paula Art Museum. There is a fair amount of unused space, especially on the second floor. Portable display walls could be utilized to expand the number of works available to see. I suppose lighting could be a challenge, but they could surely figure it out. The building itself, in neoclassical style, was the former Oxnard City Library. It presents a grand facade in downtown Oxnard, adjacent to Plaza Park. Free parking in their own lot and adjacent streets. We saw a fashion photo shoot happening out front when we arrived, and it does make a statement as an architecture background. I understand that it's a popular place for photography. As we were leaving, the hostess mentioned that around the corner is their "Artist in Residence" venue, and suggested that we check it out. The current group of pieces there are mostly focused on photographs, and are vibrant, youth-focused, and often raw in emotion and subject matter. Worth checking out, especially for anyone who thinks that art museums are "stuffy".
