Im from San Diego but come up to the Apple Valley area at least monthly to visit my friend. She and I came here and this theater was fine to me. It was really cheap too! we went around 1:30 and it was 14$ plus some change for both of us! That is a total deal! compared to what I am use to here in SD, I am sure I will be back here when I come up and we go see a movie. It is slightly outdated and the chairs are not to comfy but for the price I can not complain too much. read more

This theater is one I would consider to be an outlier. At least two standard deviations above the mean in the sense that this theater definitely is within the top 1% of my list of movie theaters in the high desert. According to my observations there is plenty of room to park and enough space in the building to hold hundreds of people in the lobby. I would like to add that the popcorn is an absolute delight. Furthermore, the staff are cordial to their customers and showtimes are more frequent that surrounding theaters. Great theater, great customer service. But you should NOT let people bring their kids to watch any movie not suitable for children. We were watching conjuring 2 and directly behind us was a family with a small child that kept talking in a normal voice asking almost every 5mins "how many mins are left?" And the child kept talking, then the dad was talking to the child in a normal voice. It was extremely hard to listen to the movie and pay attention because this child wouldn't stop talking. read more

This place is the epitome of a three star theater. Not bad, but utterly forgettable. The viewing experience is ok with decent acoustics, however if you are unlucky enough to get a movie in one of the smaller theaters, just return to the front and get a refund, it's seriously like stepping back into the late 80's, small seats, poor sight lines and lousy acoustics. I love the seats that recline. It's a very roomy, comfortable, clean theater. With that said, I hate coming here because they always make me throw my drink away. The other Cinemark theater near the mall is a much more pleasant experience. They always let me brink my drink with me. Sounds stupid but we always catch a movie after lunch or dinner so I always have a soda with me. At the mall I don't mind buying popcorn or candy because of it, but I refuse to spend any money for snacks or candy if I can't bring a drink in. Would have been 5 stars if not for that. I enjoy the theatre and seating. But really, plan on extra time. The cashier holds you up because she doesn't know the price of a drink and has to get someone else over to explain to her what size drink you have? And the ticket taker asks the group in front of you for ID and instead of just taking your ticket while they are tediously removing their wallets, and examining every drivers' license, the line is held up. read more

I took my sister and her friend to this theater to watch Don't Breathe. But we couldn't because when I tried purchasing the tickets for the three of us the usher didn't allow it. My sister and her friend are both 16 and I am 23. So I am legally able to purchase their tickets for them. I never had this issue at other Cinemark theaters around the area. She said they had to be 17 or accompanied by a parent which is obviously not the entire truth. I didn't argue but this was just odd and totally puts me off. read more

It's well maintained. Like most commercial theaters you pay for the ticket and get robbed at the generic concession stand. Go early to miss the riff raff. Lots of texters and cell phone conversations etc.,, during the show and no ushers around to escort them out. Arch light and Alamo theaters have it down. Wish the rest of these theaters would take a page from their play book to enhance the experience for the ticket buyer. read more

Been there a few times. Each visit was great, not crowded and great snacks and service as well. I prefer to go here even though I have to leave the house about an hour prior to the start of the show. Just so we don't have to deal with crowds and loud cussing people. There are always good seats even if you get there right at the start of the movie. Even the other patrons seem to want the same thing, no drama. Was there once and my 4 year old son wanted to play the motorcycle video game and there were a lot of teenagers hanging out there. They saw he wanted to climb on the bike and were readily and willing to let him have a little fun. Kinda gives you some hope.... read more

Not the best location for us in the middle of Victorville, but still a great place to watch movies! Comfortable seating and quality service by the staff. AND...there is a Starbucks inside! I LOVE coffee, so getting access to quality Starbucks while watching the next block-buster makes this theater a hit for me! read more

Customer service has just gone down the drain! I ordered a Starbucks pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.. seems simple enough. No lines, no one else ordering anything. I ordered this 5 minutes before my movie was going to start, my movie started at 9:05 .. 10 minutes later I am still standing there waiting for my drink, I told my my friends to go ahead and go into the movie that had already started. The guy comes out and says after I stood there that whole time that unfortunately they don't have any pumpkin spice sauce?? I kept hearing them say that's not right, "it's suppose to be an orange color" So he says that they ran out. Instead of they don't know how to make it ? Idk whatever the case.. He then asks if I wanted something else.. I told him my movie was already 10 minutes in, and my friends and daughter already were in the movie.. by then there are a few people in line to buy food and I didn't feel like trying to get a refund and waiting longer, so I said a Carmel frap will be fine. Another 5 minutes go by and he starts to make it?? Whatttt ! I said you haven't even started to make it yet ? He says I am making it now, meanwhile my friends and my daughter already went into the movie. It is now almost 9:20 so I say never mind I can't wait anymore my movie has already started. So he just stares at me and are you sure? Yes I'm sure! So I walk into my movie figuring I will ask for a refund after the show. So movie ends and I go ask the manager and she immediately gets defensive and gives me attitude! Like it was my fault that they were so slow and didn't know how to make a pumpkin spice frap. So the guy that originally tried to make it was standing next to her, she looked at him and then she asked for my receipt.. I said I don't have it I threw it away in the theater trash with my other snacks. She said well you NEED a receipt so I can refund you with such an ugly attitude. I told her if you need proof ask him he is the one who was suppose to make it? Anyway, I looked for it and couldn't find it and I wasn't about to tear through the trash for $6.00 so she walks away I guess I was suppose to follow her.. and she grabs a $5.00 bill from the register and hands it to me and says nothing and walks away. I tried to be nice and explain what went down that I had already missed so much of the movie. She had no care in the world what I was saying and was so rude! She didn't even apologize or anything for what happened. This coming from a manager is very disappointing. I don't think my family, friends or I will be returning back to this theater. read more

We LOVE this theater... it is CLEAN, seats are COMFY, temperature is generally just right (although I always bring a sweater to any theater). Equally important... they have digital cinema (and huge plus for us and not always found)! Friendly, helpful staff, as well. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience here. I went to the movies with my family, my dad had just gotten back from a long business trip and I was just trying to enjoy my family. The line was crowded and my father is foreign so his English isn't too well, when we got to the front of the line he gave me the money to pay and waited along the side, when I went to pay for my tickets the MANAGER did not greet me or welcome me but instead accused me of cutting making me feel very uncomfortable. I told her I did not not cut and she simply replied with an "oh" not an apology not a smile, nothing showing remorse. I proceeded to buying my tickets and she said absolutely nothing. My whole family felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable. It is likely we will not be returning and most definitely not recommending. read more

This is a great theater. They have reclining seats in the theaters. Sound quality is excellent too. My favorite thing about this theater is when they show classic films. I have seen fight Club, the terminator, silence of the lambs, and JFK here. While I own all those movies on Blu Ray, having the option to see them on a giant screen with an audience is an amazing thing. read more

Horrible service when it comes down to snack bar, drink bar, food. The process in which the customer is to purchase and get their food has no order to it. Customers just go and get what they want. Little theater that could. Quiet and off the beaten path. Seats were very comfortable, clean. Nice buffet line style food service. Prices are in range with other Theaters and the items offered are standard. Popcorn is Orville Reddinbacher and could have been better, the taste was flat. Great theater I frequent several times a month. Use the ticket kiosk outside to avoid any long lines at the ticket counter inside. They also have a small room to rent out for children's birthday parties with different priced party packages. We had my sons 5th birthday there and were very pleased with the level of service and attentive staff. read more

In theater 1 with the new seating and there are a few problems. There's no sound during the previews due to a wiring issue (it does works during the movie). Also, a few of the seats don't work. Other than that, it's a great experience . The seats are comfortable and they recline. read more

I am trying to continue my review of cinemark Jess Ranch. I couldn't include everything. It said "to many characters" The first review is posted under "Simon D". This is a continue of the review of the theatre. CHILDREN IN MOVIES- I say this because, in general if you have young kids, & take them to a horror film, or really boring movie, it's very sad for other people, to sit through a movie they paid to see & have the child or children be very loud, run around the theatre, or if you have a young child & have to keep walking out of the theatre, that's really sad. Honestly, It is really disruptive to other people. The thing is I think these people seem to be lazy & don't want to pay for a babysitter, to watch their kids so they can see a movie (sorry to say.) I understand if the movie is a childrens movie, animated film; that's ok. BUT... a regular 1 a half-2 hour movie. Honestly, if the movie has bad language, or violence, or inapproptiate scenes, & you take a young child, pre-teen to that it possibly might affect them. In my opinion, parents who take young children to a movie that's boring, In appropriate should really stay at home. This is because, for a movie you are paying a lot for a movie & the experience was ruined by a persons poor choice. A few months ago, last year sometime. My husband & I went to see the movie, "Don't breathe". There was a woman who I thought came in alone, There were 3 or 4 pre-teenage children- boys, they were sitting way across from the woman. The woman had to go over to the children & tell them to quiet down. My husband told her, "Thank You" BUT... Through out the whole movie the children continued to talk. It was very annoying. My husband got up & got a worker, he told her (the worker). Where the kids were sitting. When she came in the children were quiet. So she didn't know where the noise was coming from. Another incident, a couple years ago., 2015 My husband & went to see the movie "BLACKHAT". This woman came in to the theatre maybe half an hour after the movie began with a baby in a baby stroller. Through the whole movie my husband & I could hear the baby make noise. It was weird because the woman comes in late, BUT she comes in with a baby & stroller. When people take their young children who talk through a movie it is really awful. I say Stay at home. read more

Major complaint for me is that the volume was too low for me at a February 13th, Saturday 1400 DEADPOOL showing. I mean during the ACTION SCENES I could hear people eating their popcorn 3 to 4 seats down from me. I get distracted easy so instead of being able to focus on the movie I'm focusing on food chewing, giggles and talking. First time I ever got a refund at a theatre. You would think this would be one of the most basic things for them to have covered. read more
