I've been doing such a good job this year exercising 4-5 days a week, eating clean and then I walk by a Cinnabon and it all goes down the drain! They say that rationality is the tool of the devil and once my nose catches the delightful whiff of cream cheese frosted baked goods I lose all self-control. Seven Steps To Cinnabon Sabotage: 1) You walk into the narrow store just to peruse their goods. You know, because you want to write a Yelp review. 2) Then you decide to buy a minibon for your four year old child who's waiting in the car with your husband. 3) But wait, a regular sized Cinnabon is not that much more than a minibon. Maybe your husband will want some. You don't want him to miss out. 4) The girl at the counter asks if you want extra frosting. You politely decline and congratulate yourself for demonstrating the discipline of a strong mind. All those countless hours of 5:30am hot yoga have paid off! 5) You take the Cinnabon home with the intention of having only one bite and giving the rest to your family. 6) The devil takes over and you eat half the Cinnabon by yourself while watching them kill off Derek Shepard in 'Grey's Anatomy.' 7) Grief stricken by the death of your fake husband on one of your favorite shows of all time, you finish the other half of the Cinnabon. I was all set to buy a bunch of treats for the office. Cinnabon seems delicious, right? Unfortunately, the service was so horrible (greedy and apathetic), after trying to buy a box, I gave up and walked out. Basically, as I was ordering a box, I saw a young man loading a box with fresh cinnabons. I asked if I could have one of those boxes. He told the counter girl: "the only way he can get the fresh, hot ones is if he buys them individually (which costs more than the buying a box)." Is this a corporate policy? Basically, the customer is NOT right and cannot request the freshest, warm buns in quantities greater than one. There was no line and I was the only customer in the store. And can I add--I am already on the fence to purchase any sugary/butter laden item as I know these treats are not exactly healthy. At any friendly bakery, it's the relationships that help me look past the nutritional content to just enjoy a special treat. If you do a search for cinnabon roll or bun on yelp, this store is one of the lowest ranked ones in Hawaii. Yelp will push it up in the list as they probably pay yelp for advertising, but 3.5 stars is far less than most any place else on Oahu. If you search Cinnabon in the world on yelp, this particular location has some of the most unhappy customers. I thought I was the only one to receive bad service, but there are quite a few reviews saying the same thing. As of 1/16, there are only three five star reviews. One gave them five because she got a free macchiato on her birthday. The second one was happy because the undercooked roll she received was fixed. The third one was happy to get "no hassle" service. I would be happy to receive no hassle service! But that's not what Cinnabon sells at this location. I think the location is ok, the store looks nice, and the product is probably tasty enough... unfortunately, if the management allows employees to be unhappy, unhelpful, and portray a greedy, self centered approach, this branch will be an example of what is wrong with cinnabon. Cinnamon, sugar, butter....all wrapped up into one. The classic Cinnabon has that and under $5. My favorite location has been closed for a while and for the matter of convenience, this is my new spot. I don't eat them very often, so when I do, I look forward to having that doughy, cinnamon goodness, freshly baked from the oven. I always hope to get a Cinnabon that's piping hot or has a hint of warmth. I still have hope. Tip: Their employees are well trained to ask if you want extra frosting. The girls working there tonight seemed wanting to dash out of there way before the food court closed. It was barely after 8pm when I walked in from the food court side & seen 1 girl in the back of the kitchen either wiping down the counters or washing pans. The short Asian girl in the front had the main shop door wide open when she was near the register facing me when she just yelled out, "WE'RE CLOSED..WE'RE SOLD OUT!" That was it! She was completely expressionless & abrasive to say the least! I mean, if you wanted to just get out of there to finish your Christmas shopping, wtf..JUST SAY THAT! Personally, that was the 1st time I ever heard of or experienced ANY Cinnabon, much less this location, ever closing early, during normal mall hours on a WEEK DAY especially during the holidays?! Really? Seeing a few more people walk in there after me only to get the same dismissive attitude just confirms my low-star-review. Anyway, as I was about to drive away, their main shop door was still wide open. Another young lady who parked near me spilled something by her car so she ran in there to just ask for some napkins. The wench only gave her TWO napkins! Cinnabon Ala Moana pls DO BETTER & retrain these Grinches or hire new staff who actually want to work! #103/365 Walking through the mall and you smell the fresh baked cinnamon rolls...mmm so tempting. I usually just go for their minibons which are the perfect size. The bread is so soft and ooey gooey with the butter and cinnamon brown sugar lathered between its layers and becoming a delicious sticky mess. The center is the best part, the softest and most melt in your mouth goodness. Their cream cheese icing is also a winner to top it off. Their cinnamon sticks are also pretty good too. I def want to give their churros a try and maybe their other cinnabons with the different toppings. I've tried a couple of their drinks and they were pretty good too. I forget what store was here in this corner tucked away location but - normally a Cinnabon is front and center before going into a food court in the malls I know... Not here- it is in an odd wall space so the front of the store really is a brick wall- not the typical look at the way they make the bread- which is the best part- I could watch them make bread all day long - the smell is incredible and wonderful. The food is the same I believe as all the other franchises- they have now the swirlly drinks too to compete with starbucks and tea/ coffee houses which do go great with the high calorie meal on its own. Just know that it is way tucked in the diamond head side corner of the food court and you will smell the way to great eats. read more

We eat here often, even on Christmas Eve when we could choose a million other places to go at a special time of year, but we choose Cinnabon. I always come to this location since i'm in town and I always leave a happy camper.. The workers are very nice, cinnabon is always tasty and never lets met down.. However, this past visit kind of left me with a wtf face.. My dad has really random sugar cravings.. so hearing that I was going to the mall, an order of cinnabons were made.. After doing my shopping I went to cinnabon to buy my dad his goodies.. I decided to get myself something as well so I ordered the middle piece (they have the middle of a cinnabon in a cup).. let me tell you something guys.. what i got was a regular cinnabon cut up and thrown into a cup. Really? Come on now.. Also, I ordered a cinnapack to take home and the boy working the register gives me everything....with no bag. I had my own cinnabon and pack along with cream and whatnot.. It's Cinnabon of course it's five stars it's the most perfect cinnamon roll I've ever had in my entire life the same goes for you too if you ever had one if not how come you have not? Not only are these masterpieces extremely tasty they are a meal in itself or essentially a brunch in itself. All the fat and carbs you need for 24 hours. Yes they are not extremely cheap which is good otherwise I would buy them too much also extra frosting is more money which usually makes me upset but I'm glad it costs more because I don't need all those extra extra calories. Even though it's just a very small store they have at the mall the service is fast and also pretty friendly. I think my only real complaint is that I only live a 10 minute drive from here I kind of wish they were further so it would deter me from going there as often. read more

The amazing scent of cinnamon cannot help but draw you to his place. The cashier was cordial with the customers. They were getting a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls out of the oven when I got there which was nice since the last one had been purchased. They didn't have a lot to chose from, but it seemed to be what the customers were wanting. I was lucky to get one right out the oven, but I'll admit that these puppies have shrunk in size. They used to fill the container and now there is a definite moat around the cinnamon roll. I don't think they should ask if you need to buy more overpriced icing. They should be putting enough on in the first place. Unfortunately, mine was crunchy on the sides due to lack of icing, but I'm not going to pay when it should already be on the roll. Amazing how the product shrinks yet the price continues to rise. It must be the yeast because at almost $5 a roll that's crazy. The rent for this spot has to be ridiculous for customers to be gouged so much. The price we pay for convenience is sometimes outrageous. read more

Cinnabon itself cant be arguable how delicious these cinnamon rolls are but this store did leave me cringing and disgusted at the product and the short filipino girl that works there. She was rude and did not even care what I was telling her. I went to buy the prepacked mini cinnabons for a party and was looking around and saw it in front of the counter. They left out only two boxes and as I picked up the first box, I saw a bug flying around inside the box. As I was picking up the second box and checking to see if there were any bugs in it, this filipino female worker was rushing me so I said "Im checking to see if there are any bugs bc that one has bugs in it." So what should she do? I think she should take that box away. She just rolls her eyes and disregarded my comment and started ringing me up as I told her twice about the bugs and instead asking if I wanted extra frostings and picked up four containers. She made it sound like it was free but nothing in life is free, so I asked if she charges extra and then tells me its 75cents each. So... she was gonna charge me 75cents for 4 containers without asking me how many frostings I needed and telling me she was going to charge until I asked. I declined. When I came home and looked at the cinnabons, it barely had frosting. Bread to frosting ratio was minimal, so I know what Cinnabons is trying to do. They skimp out on the frosting so they could have ppl buy extra frosting and charge 75cents for a small container. NO THANK YOU. Didn't need the extra calories anyways. So disappointed bc as a child I remember Cinnabons as yummy and generous with frosting. I wouldnt be surprised if it tastes dry. But the BUGS in the boxes of cinnabons they were selling just turned me off and that UNSANITARY short, dark, filipino female worker who didnt even care about throwing that shit out turned me off even more. First of all I couldn't figure out how the line went. Secondly I ordered 4 pack which wasn't out so they had to pull one from the back (mind you it wasnt covered so I had a feeling it would be dry). Third they kept trying to get me to buy 6 instead for +$2, I said no thanks twice. Got home, realized these babies were hard as hell even after warming them up in the microwave. I walked by a few minutes before closing to find a sign that read, "$9.99 ALL PACKS" and behind the sign were an assortment of minibuns and regular sized cinnabons. When I asked for the minibon pack, the girl told me those weren't the ones on sale and the ones on sale were the day olds. I think the last one I had was at the Kahala location, and it was decidedly bigger, so do you suppose they make 'em bigger in Kahala? Or have they shrunk there, too? The Cinnabon was still tasty, albeit smaller than what I'm used to. Are they saving money, did they run out of yeast, or what? The coffee was a little cooler than lukewarm, so the whole experience was a little disappointing, but I still managed to eat the whole thing (with some help from my daughter). So no doubt Cinnabon's is super delicious but just one complaint about last nights customer service. It's about 8:45 pm (almost closing) we walk in to get a "center of the roll" and a 4 pack for my niece who's visiting to take back to Maui... I see the guy in the back by the oven packing up a box of Cinnabon's as if just coming out fresh from the oven. I though perfect timing as i didn't see any prepacked boxes On the counter. So I first ask do u have any of the 4 prepack or any size available and she says no we dont have any, I'm thinking hmm what was the guy in the back packing but didn't bother to ask about it so I said then can u please put 4 into a box (there was about 6 left to sell in the window) and she said yes I can but u have to pay regular for each. So I asked, why? are the prepacked ones not fresh? and she says oh no all Cinnabon is made fresh so I asked what is the difference and she said the prepacked ones are cooled down to room temp! So I said oh but the ones sitting in the window are probably cooled down to room temp as well (just totally didn't make any sense) and she said I still have to charge u per each. Didn't want to argue because my niece loves them so rather than selling me the "last left overs" for the night at the boxed price of $13.99 I ended up paying $19 for a box of 4! Yes at the same "room temperature" and the nights left overs mind u! if I were at Kapolei I bet they'd gladly pack it up for me at the better price! So I'll just stay away from Ala Moana and if really craving it I'll just go to PR or Kapolei instead where the service is much much better!!! Once in a while, I figure I deserve a mega calorie treat so I walk on over to cinnabon and get one. Cinnabons are definitely NOT for the faint of heart. A awesome mix of butter, cinnamon, cream cheese frosting, and more butter = cinnamon buns. They are best warmed up so that they are soft, doughy, and easier to pull apart...I like eating from the outside to the inside, where all the cinnamon and frosting has gathered together, in between the layers of soft dough. If you like the flakier cinnamon rolls, cinnabon is not the place to go...They are about $3.50 for one. read more

Me likey sweet buns. Me and the wife came a day before nurses week expired in order to redeem my ID for a free Cinnabon. It's probably the one of the few times I only eat Cinnabon during the year. Cinnabon's are so delicious but so bad for you. But we're human and we indulge and have a right to. If you're into the whole life of being pure and shit, then don't come here, the sweetness of this place is so toxic lol but it's so good in a bad way lol. It's like having a relationship with a bad boy or bad girl. Some of it is good but then it really is bad for you in the long run. If you want to be with some good boy or good girl, go for a oat bran muffin instead of a Cinnabon lol. The Cinnabon is so sweet and creamy, it melts in your mouth and tummy, that having another bite is crucial because you just can't have one.
