This was our first visit... Cutting to the chase: the food was EXCELLENT, exactly what we ordered, and prepared rapidly without sacrificing quality. EAT HERE!!!! When we first walked in we found the dining room unremarkable but spotless. It smelled great, an awesome sign! The server instantly appeared to greet us, tables were shiny and clean. The server was very nice and efficient as he delivered rinks and we ordered the samosas. The samosas were flaky and perfectly prepared and... not that I care but they were also very pretty and masterfully prepared; starchy perfection in a pastry! My chicken tika masala was perfect and just spicy enough to hurt (a little!). I always order ctm when I visit an Indian place for the first time figuring if they can't get this right nothing will be right. To me ctm is the general tso's chicken of India. They were out of lamb so my wife asked the server's recommendation and she went with that. She enjoyed it immensely. Sorry, I forgot what she ordered and I don't have the receipt to check. They offer a nice selection of naan, we went with the Kashmiri 'cuz we've never tried it before. The naan was perfect and the interior was filled with a spicy paste with nuts. Amazing in just about everything: the provided sauces and also my ctm. The basmatti rice was moist and yet flaky and perfect. I will be coming back most definitely. I had heard good things about this place from friends and colleagues, so I finally decided to try it out. It did not disappoint! I ordered the butter chicken and it was delicious. They give you three different spice options - I went for mild, absolutely no spice, however LOTS of flavor. Next time I might even go for the medium! The garlic naan was pretty solid as well. Although I dinned in, I probably will get to go next time, as the ambiance isn't amazing. We ordered the lamb saag, the bangan bharda, the chicken tikka and Kashmiri naan. We also warmed up frozen Sukhi's samosas we had bought at the supermarket. The samosas were far and away the best dish, although the Kashmiri naan was good. The chicken tikka was very uninspired, the lamb saag and bangan bharta were awful. Nice small little takeout place that has a few tables also. Lots of choices on the menu. When ordering food, we were asked how hot we would like our food. We opted for the Lamb Curry Hot. The Lamb Curry was very flavorful and was hot. We had a side of Naan with the yogurt sauce on the side. That was the perfect amount of cool to go with the spicy curry. Everything about this place deserves 5 stars. First off, the service is EXCELLENT. We were greeted right away by the friendly man who was both host and waiter. During our entire meal we always had water, napkins, refills, etc. of everything we needed. He often anticipated our needs before we even had to ask for it. Everything we ordered (four entrees, one appetizer, the naan bread basket with 3 types of naan, and the carrot pistachio dessert) was delicious. The menu is written so you know exactly what is in each dish, so if you aren't used to eating Indian cuisine often you can still feel comfortable in what you order. Personally, I ordered the chicken tikka masala and asked for it mild. Chicken was tender and the sauce was like a creamy tomato soup with spices. Soo good!! I made a trip to the restroom and it was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant itself is small but not too cramped. A lot of customers came in throughout our dinner to pick up "take out" orders. We live about 30 miles from Midland, and almost every time we are in town we stop here for takeout. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. Excellent food with a lot of vegetarian and some vegan options. It seems like only two ladies work there but they churn out the orders quick! I've had around 10 different dishes from here and they are all winners. They can make it spicy by request, which I am thankful for. My favourites are the idli sambar and shahi paneer, although I haven't had a bad dish here yet. There isn't a lot of room to eat at the restaurant but they do a brisk takeaway business. Great value as well; one dish alone can feed me for a couple meals but I usually get two or three to enjoy a nice variety. read more

Very good food, but this is mainly a take-out place. They have only a couple tables inside the tiny corner store in the strip mall. In the winter, the cold air blows through the restaurant making it very uncomfortable. But the food is so good, I keep going back. read more

This place is small, prepare to get cozy with your dining neighbors, BUT, the food makes you forget all of that. Fresh ingredients, flavorful, made to order dishes. There is usually a lady cooking most days, she is a great cook. If you like REALLY spicy food, medium is the way to go. If you like mild to "normal" spicy, go for mild or mild plus. I go with medium, I'm hot like that. The staff is nice and just the right amount of attentive. Everything here is good. Veggie dishes, chicken dishes, shrimp dishes, samosas, all yum. Only thing I didn't care for was the curry. It was flavorful but not saucy enough for my taste. Other than that, all else is a home run for me. My favorite menu item is the garlic naan. Good flavors but a little misleading with marketing. A fundamental part of Indian cuisine (obviously) is the rice. As a restaurant that claims to be "vegetarian and vegan-friendly," one would assume that their rice is vegan. Unfortunately, it contains ghee, or clarified butter, which makes it hard for vegans to eat here. I enjoyed the chana masala but couldn't eat the rice and gave it to my family. My message to Cinnamon management: please provide a dairy-free rice option! read more

I'm a visitor to Midland and got found this glorious treasure on Yelp. (Thanks, Yelp!) You would be wise to run as fast as you can to this newcomer (only a month old, our server said). I love Indian food...in part because the cuisine has so many vegetarian choices, but don't worry, carnivores, there are plenty of chicken, lamb, shrimp and more choices. I've NEVER seen such an amazing menu. I truly wanted to try everything on it! Our steaming hot chai came in seconds and our meals at warp speed. The dining area is cozy, but we weren't crowded. The Indiana "street food" section on the menu drew me in and my dinner partner tried a chicken dish. We were both amazed! I do wish I would have another occasion to visit Midland!!! read more

Ordered through DoorDash tonight. Have had food from here before but tonight was not great at all. Ordered chicken tikka masala, flavor was good sauce was very watery and for some reason portion seemed smaller. Also ordered shrimp tandoori. Was not worth the price! Definitely not prawns like the description, more like 8 cocktail shrimp some with tail some no tail. Also seemed steamed with partially cooked onions and peppers definitely not cooked in tandoori. No flavor whatsoever either. Will not be ordering from here again. Definitely not worth over $40. read more

Between this and idli dosa I prefer this. Idli my food was more oily and I had big pieces of non edible seasoning (like cloves) in my food. Not a huge differentiation as I love the flavors in both places. But this causes cinnamon to edge it out imo. read more

Food is good but the carryout is an absolute disaster. Customer service could use some help too. I know the place is new, but it was 45 minutes from the time I called in my order until the time I walked out with my food. People who dined in were making it out faster than I was. I finally was able to stop into Cinnamon after being open for some time. I walked in and was greeted with a smile from a friendly guy. He recommended that I try the chicken Marsala medium heat, garlic nan and the pakora appetizer. IT WAS GLORIOUS! The food came out fast and was still very hot by the time I came home. Garlic Naan, Lamb curry, chicken Tikka Masala or Chicken Biryani. The garlic Naan was the best I've had. The lamb curry was good but not the best I've had and the chicken biryani was pretty damn good. We asked for hot and the biryani was spicier than the curry but it was sooooo good. It was the perfect spice for me. A little too spicy for the bf though but he still really liked it. They really did not play with their spice level but it definitely met my expectations. read more
