We picked this place for Mother's Day because we had a coupon that greatly reduced the price for 4 adults. The coupon was current and said nothing about date exceptions. Four adults and three kids meals later it was time to pay. My server took my coupon and returned moments later to say the coupon was not valid on holidays. I asked to speak to the manager who repeated the same and then said she wants the hostess to notify diners that coupons aren't good on holidays and that they put that on their entry sign (see picture). I felt like this was bait and switch which is illegal! Mother's Day is NOT a holiday! The coupon says nothing about date/holiday exceptions! The sign says nothing about coupons not being valid on Mother's Day. The hostess and waitress said nothing in advance about the coupon not being valid. At time of payment the waitress expected the coupon to be ok. This action was nothing short of dishonest and I felt totally ripped off. Pi's, Panda House and Genji are nearby for oriental style food when in the Midland area. We will seriously consider other options before coming to a place that has ripped us off in the past.

I'm never really happy after I leave this place. I've only been here twice, but each time I've gotten horrible food poisoning and spent my night with my head in a toilet. Mongolian Barbecue is a buffet with all raw meats and vegetables and sauces. You choose what you want fried and you bring it to the grill and the chefs fry it up for you and then you bring it back to your seat. Voila, you have dinner. I liked the concept, and love their salad bar, but my meat seems like it's always tough, I just can't seem to find a sauce that I particularly like, and as I mentioned before, I always end up sick. I would really prefer not to return here, but would if I were going in a group and everyone else absolutely insisted on it.

The greatest chef in the world created my dish and then they cooked it for me. He called it General Tso's Mongolian shrimp and scallop spicy ass meat bowl. The chef dropped mini corn on the cobs on the ground and looked around, and nobody saw it. I am sorry. Thank you Katie for the Mellow Yellow!!

Despite the $15 price tag, Ghengis Khan is a great date night place for a different experience. Loads of choices for all-you-can-eat style mongolian barbecue. Even if you have a picky eater, you can easily put together a chicken alfredo dish which is my go-to.

    Love veggies!

Food got most of my family sick. Serving was slow. It's cheap for a reason. Eat at your own risk.

It's alright. I went there or lunch and they didn't have a very big selection of things to get grilled. Salad bar was also meh.

Clean, fresh, any combo you can think of. It is a buffet so don't expect anything fancy! Would recommend! Great hot and sour soup!

What is most enjoyable is that when you come into the restaurant we go to the section on the right side of the restaurant because they have a super duper team of Roy and Eve. They are Chinese and are very funny. The best part is that they work as a team and the two of them handle the entire section without missing a beat. The plates are cleared fast, the drinks are refilled instantly, and they remember our names and they aways get the lemon wedges for my ice tea. I don't even have to ask for it. When they are not on the schedule we are very sad because no one else in the entire restaurant covers the area as well. The others do not work as a team and if the waitress or waiter is taking dishes to the kitchen then we wait, and wait, and wait. It is absolute genius to have them work as a team. We go there frequently and try to do it only when it is their work schedule. The ambiance of the place is much better when we can count on friendly staff and superb service, it goes a long way to make us satisfied. The day they don't work there any longer is the day we may find another restaurant.

They have a private room that you can reserve for your dining party in blocks of 2 hours. We gathered to celebrate the birthday of our family matriarch. We had a party of 42 family members! This allows for everyone to pay for their own meal and beverage. This is complete with fruit & salad bar, Mexican bar, comfort food, grilled food including steaks cooked to order, seafood, desserts and ice cream. All for a relatively low price for everyone. Thanks to Server Laniaja I found out that they do extend discounts to Seniors and Military Veterans. Shout out to Kinzie for handling the Franklin family with her attentiveness and care! This place is so new that it doesn't even exist on Google yet! It's in the old Ponderosa building,…read moreonly now it's exclusively a buffet. We stopped in for lunch to give it a try. It's about $15 per person, and that doesn't include a drink (I think drinks were like $3). Lunch does not appear to be any cheaper than dinner. I would have given 4 stars if it weren't for the price; I think that was quite steep for what we got. I think just including drinks would go a long way to make this price point a little better. The salad bar was pretty extensive, including toppings like radishes and cottage cheese with assorted fruits. There was a build-your-own pasta station that I didn't get a chance to try, and then lots of your standard American foods- pork chops, (tiny!) ribs, mac and cheese (which was actually amazing), two types of green beans, etc. Everything was decent but not great except the mac n cheese. Then the dessert table was pretty great- I loved the bread pudding! There were lots of choices, including staples like cheesecake and brownies, but also more interesting choices like orange Fanta pudding. All in all, I would absolutely return if the price lowered just a bit, but otherwise I'll stick to the casino when looking for a buffet- it's more expensive, but definitely higher quality.

And oh yea it wasn't too expensive with tip two of us ate for $40 we tipped pretty good tho.

A group of work friends and I initially planned to grab takeout but wisely chose to dine in. A break from the office was well worth it. The buffet stations were consistently stocked, ensuring there was never an empty tray. Every dish was hot and fresh, a rarity for some buffets. The only mild mishap was one unfortunate diner underestimating the temperature of a bacon-wrapped bite--though, if anything, this speaks to the kitchen's dedication to serving food at optimal temperatures. I piled my plate high with their green beans, cooked in a style I describe as distinctly Chinese--simple, flavorful, and addictively good. General Tso's chicken was rich and saucy, delivering just the right balance of sweet and spice. While I can't confirm the origins of the General's recipe, I can tell you it's certainly not from the Colonel. The pepper steak was well-prepared, and in a strategic move, I borrowed some broccoli from the chicken and broccoli dish, a maneuver I highly recommend for boosting vegetable intake. One of the more mysterious, yet delightful, items was a spring roll filled with a meat pâté-like filling. I didn't know exactly what I was eating, but I did know I wanted more of it. Using green beans as a base instead of rice proved to be an excellent choice, keeping the meal lighter and preventing an afternoon energy crash. The service was exemplary. The staff moved with sniper-like accuracy, ensuring my ice water was never empty--I have never felt more hydrated at a restaurant. The environment was clean, though the restaurant has seen younger days. It has been around for years, and I don't think I've seen a change. China One Buffet checks all the necessary boxes--solid food quality, exceptional service, and an experience that delivers on expectations. I'll absolutely be back, green beans first, mystery spring roll second. If you're looking for a buffet that gets it right, this is one worth visiting.
