Arrived for dinner with a group of 3. Had to wait at the bar Saturday night while a booth was getting available about 30 bour wait. Live music band was just warming up and it was very loud sitting at the bar on a Saturday night. Ordered veggie pakora app comes with spicy cilantro green sauce and tamarind sauces for the table to share. Mullahatany soup with chichekn, lemon coriander soup with chicken, extra spice on the side. Friend ordered chicken tikka masala garlic nann, and rice. I really liked the lemon coriander soup. Broth was very tasty. The pakoras were crispy. They were busy, don't bother with reservations during dinner service, just show up and be prepared to wait next to a very loud band playing. Booth was comfortable, server was friendly and attentive. Food and ambiance is very good here. Nice to have a sit down desi restaurant serving halal meat in Midland. Service is quick and attentive. I think portion sizes could be bigger and the dosas could be crispier but overall not bad. They have high chairs and the staff seated us in an area where the high chair would not be in the way which was very nice of them. read more

Absolutely perfect. Surprised by live music on Saturday night. The food was easily the best Indian cuisine in town. Packed with flavor. Great place to share dishes with friends. I'm a huge fan of Indian food and after realizing Idli Dosa was closed on Wednesdays (my usual go to), I decided to try out Veedu. I ordered a shrimp tikka masala and garlic naan. The quality and quantity were very similar to my usual spot, and I was not disappointed at all! I give Idli a slight edge just because it has more options that I like, but other than that I think both restaurants are top notch! read more

Excellent food, drinks and service and reasonable prices. Veedu is a great mix of an Indian restaurant and a good place to have a craft cocktail, glass of wine or a pint of beer. It is just as nice for a dinner as it is to sit at the bar for a drink. Nice happy hour 4:30 to 6 every day they are open (even Friday-Sunday) and live music on Saturday night. Typically it is acoustic and you can still talk with the people you came with. read more

They were supposed to call before they got here and they didn't and the worst part is they delivered it by the mailbox and placed it in the street!! Didn't call to say they left it there. This is an amazing restaurant. The bar and lounge is well appointed. The bar is well stocked and run by a professional mixologist. He uses only fresh ingredients in his cocktails. I highly recommend the Veedu Old Fashion and the Pina Colada was excellent. The dining area is nice and the food is very good. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. We had the Mutter Paneer and the Tandoori Platter. The service was outstanding and to top it off, they have King Fisher Beer. Definently one of the best south asian restaurents in the tri-city area, and my go to place anytime I'm in Midland! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance feels very modern yet traditional in the furniture/decorations. Their veedu fries, and chicken biriyani are amazing 10/10. Please bring back veedu fries to the menu, they were very good!! Overall, super friendly staff and quick service. You can expect to get in and out within an hour or so. It's perfect if you have limited time or are trying to grab something quick during lunch break. I will keep coming back :) read more

We're in town visiting my sister and her family. I'm so happy we happened upon Veedu! We ordered mango lassi, samosas, palak paneer (spicy), chicken vindaloo (very spicy), chicken tikka masala (mild), and vegetable biryani (mild). My son loves spice and their very spicy level did not disappoint. I opted for spicy and it was just right for me. My parents ordered mild. They added a complimentary carrot halwa that was also very good. We ordered take out but the restaurant space is nice, big, and welcoming. Service is quick and friendly. I hope we can squeeze in some time to dine in while we're here. read more

We decided to try this restaurant on a Friday night at 7:30. The place was quite packed. We waited for a bit too long before our order was taken, however, they made up for it by bringing out the naan quickly. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine, some naan, tikka masala, and the chettinadu curry. The food was delicious. I like things spicy and my entree was indeed spicy (lips tingly-just what I like).
