I was lucky enough to find this place on a quick yelp check for a breakfast place close to our hotel. What a find! This place is a tiny local diner with limited seating. It had a mixture of locals and tourists, with the locals being the majority. They were all welcomed in by name. Be prepared for a long wait. Lol you're advised of this when entering and with signage around the restaurant. There's a very limited menu. After getting our coffee (and a couple refills), the Chef yelled over asking what we wanted. Very casual. Well our breakfast were not only reasonably priced($6.99 canadian) but also huge. All made to order down to the potatoes being cut up individually with each order. Crazy as it sounds though was the Italian bread toast served with breakfast. It was outstanding! We even inquired where they purchased the bread and we made a stop there after finishing our breakfast. Overall, great food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. In a sea of 3 star and below restaurants in Niagara Falls, what a breath of fresh air it was to find Cippy's- a tiny home style restaurant serving up a small menu of just the best breakfast items. You read those prices right! It's 2023 and yep, they're charging less than $7 for breakfast! While we were originally going to get bacon and ham, we were recommended the sausage and it didn't disappoint. Definitely a solid choice. Breakfast was hugely filling for a great price. Service felt like you were being welcomed into someone's home. I loved the charm of this place and that it had both character and good food- something you won't find at one of the 5 billion ihops within the two mile radius. This is my kind of place. I love the old school diner feel and all of the pictures on the walls that have been collected over the years. Cool diner with tons of memories and memorabilia. You want a quick breakfast that is filling and cheap then come by and don't expect a complicated menu. It's a simple menu and not too much can be changed with a small menu. I had the eggs and pancakes along with the country potatoes. Everything was great and if you want jalapeños you are out of luck but they do have Cholula sauce to spice you up. They still have a menu from the 1960's which is pretty crazy. Parking is limited and they only take cash and so please take that into account before stepping inside. We were in town doing touristy things, and wanted to get a nice breakfast before we left. This place had good reviews, was a small local business, and seemed like some good eats. Prices were also very fair and the staff seemed pretty nice when we sat down. I think the owner was working the flattop , someone was waiting/bussing the tables/ topping off the coffee, and someone else was doing the dishes. Food is great. The eggs were cooked perfectly over-easy, the home fries as specified from other reviews were great (whole potatoes just chopped up on the flattop and some butter over top). Sausage was more fatty and a little different that I'm used to, but it was pretty good. Toast was great, lots of butter , and so was the French toast. In total we had: The number #1 (chose sausage) The French toast An OJ (out of a plastic bottle) A Bottle of water (out of a plastic bottle) Prices were unknown on the OJ and Water. In total, the owner walked over and seemed pretty nice, asked us if we liked our meals , and said it'll be $21. Now if I calculate correctly: The number 1 : $6.50 The French Toast : $6.50 Orange Juice : ?? Bottle of water : ?? Tax: 13% Total was $21? The table next to us had a larger order and he asked for $20. We met this white couple in our hotel on the elevator, then saw them at the restaurant - arriving the same time , order an omelette ($8) , a French toast ($6.50), a side of sausage, 2 cups of coffee, and an orange juice. The only difference was that the couple was white , and we were not... I'm going to give some benefit of the doubt here, and I'm also going to assume he included gratuity already, which I probably would have left a larger tip than a total of $21.... Also, he gave me less change.. I gave $40, he gave me $18 instead of $19. After reading other reviews, I have a feeling it was because we were Asian... because the other group were also tourists, but white. I'll leave this review as 4 stars, since it seemed a little fishy at the end there. Yelpers be forwarned ! This is the most bizarre restaurant I have ever been to. We went to this place at the recommendation of a local friend and what we witnessed was beyond strange and troubling. The restaurant was full and three workers walked around the restaurant aimlessly while none of the employees acknowledged our presence. We waited for 30 minutes inside the restaurant with no service, no " how are you ", no "we are busy "and when we asked for someone to come by , we just got a blank stare. It is as if all of them were unable to talk ! It was very bizarre and troubling. I think the owner was the cook and he just stared at the stove throughout and never looked up while we were there. I also noticed the restaurant had a very odd smell coming from the kitchen. Not sure if it was the smell from the submerged dishes or the sausages / ham. There was also a guy washing the dirty dishes by hand. I never saw him rinsed the dishes or use a washing machine and instead dry all the submerged dishes with a table napkin! The guy just wiped the dirty knife and fork with a napkin and placed it on the tables. It was a sight not for the weak of heart. We realized it was time to leave and never looked back after our 30 minutes of seeing this Twilight Zone experience. I would be very careful and steer clear away of this mess. Now this is a breakfast place! This is where the locals go people! They know you'll get a great breakfast meal at a very reasonable price. Cippy, the owner cooks the food right in front of you and does it perfectly. As it turns out, he went to the same school I did, Notre Dame. Our French Toast, eggs, bacon, and home fries were all amazing! With two coffees it was only $22. The bacon is thick cut and the toast is made from Italian bread from Portage Bakery, just down the road. The coffee is a bit too mild tasting for me, but still good. While waiting for your meal, you'll get to enjoy looking at the history of the diner through pictures decorating the walls. Breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious. This place does not live up to the hype it gets on Yelp. The place is dingy and small, but not in a charming rustic kind of way. The food was... fine, for the price. The runners were quick to offer refills on the coffee, but it was more like brown hot water than coffee. I asked for over medium eggs and they were completely runny inside without any hint of browning to the whites. The bacon/sausages were swimming in grease and I suspect there was more margarine in the toast than bread. Aside from the subpar food, I'm a little wary of their hygiene practices. My first coffee cup had red lipstick stains on the rim. I watched the dishwasher mash a towel (sponge?) with Palmolive on a plate, briefly wave it around under water, and then set it aside presumably to dry; I really hope they do a second rinse or something in the back. They also don't wear any gloves when they wash the dishes, which I found really bizarre. Wouldn't the water be hot enough to scald? Or the cleaning solution abrasive to their hands? They don't give receipts and I wish I knew what I was paying for because the bill didn't seem to totally add up, which was a very strange note to end my visit on. The only reason I wouldn't rate this place lower is that the fare is decently priced by 2023 standards for being so close to the falls and the runners are incredibly sweet when they're available, but I absolutely won't be hankering for a return visit the next time I'm in the area. read more

I think it was $6.99 CAD which was ridiculously reasonable. Coffee was on point too. Not sure how much, but our total bill was 20 CAD. Sorry about no pics but we were so busy yapping we just forgot. They also have oversized pancakes and French toast if you want. But what really makes this place a gem are the people. The owner and his wife were so nice, polite and genuinely concerned we had everything we wanted. We were the last customers but didn't feel that they rushed us. In fact, a friend of theirs was giving us pointers on where next to visit. We did make it to Niagara on the Lake thanks to him. Great place and close to everything. Went there the first morning we were in Niagara Falls and went back for Breakfast everyday for the rest of our stay. This place is very welcoming and homey, food tasted great especially the bacon. Very small menu and very inexpensive, but no need to have an extensive menu for breakfast. I would recommend coming here every morning of your stay for breakfast to get your day started off right. Do not rely on the hours online and as the owner said "Just drive on by, if the door is open come on in." That is exactly what we did and what do you know the place was open. After reading a few reviews, I decided to give this place a try (considering that we were going to spend BARE DOLLA BILLS on the rest of our trip). There's free parking behind this place, and oh man oh man, is it cute. You walk into this small restaurant and can see the nostalgia from every corner. We ordered #1 and #2, and waited probably 10 minutes before getting our food. We can see him making the food, and he talked to us here and there; very homely. We got our food and it was good; reminds me of mom's homecooked food. For the price and atmosphere, definitely not too shabby. It was enough to fill both of us. The potatoes WERE TO DIE FOR. You can tell this was the real stuff. The sausages and eggs were also amazing. Bread was like my effort of trying to make garlic bread at home, but definitely a lot better. The only thing I have to say, is the coffee = a no go. Legit, the only thing I've ever had that tasted like cardboard, BUT if you like cardboard, by all means go for it. The French toast was hot with a slightly custard like consistency - it was delicious. The sausage was very tasty, hot and well cooked. It is a one person operation but I got to watch my food being cooked on the grill in front of me. It's an old school diner complete with counter stools and a ton of memorabilia on the walls.
