Yo! This is THEE spot!! I came here for brunch on a Saturday around noon, and the vibe was perfect. I originally came to get something to go, the wait staff was so inviting and friendly that we decided to stay. We sat at the bar right in front of the action. The staff was hilarious and recommended great menu items. I really wanted fish, but they sold the last piece from their Friday Fish fry a few minutes before I arrived. I ended up getting an omelette with home fries...and. let. me. tell. you! The food is awesome! The waitress was eating some home fries when we arrived with feta and some type of oil. She gave me some, and it set it OFF! It was an olive oil and vinegar blend with spices. My friend got the French toast with eggs and bacon. He really enjoyed it (and even finished before me)! This place is named after the infamous "Nipple Lease" which is when you put a down payment down on someone else's nipples. And stuff. What to get: Milkshakes. What else is good: Any of the American style dinners. I echo the excellent reviews of Neapolis. Their Chocolate and Vanilla milkshakes are fantastic. Their food is delicious and home made. They are cheap and wonderful. The service is fantastic. This place is named after a horrible type of flea that bites you on the center of your tits. Known as "Nipple Lice". The only reason this place isn't Buffalo's #1 Destination Diner is because it's named after these horrendous little nipple biting (and not in a sexy way) creatures. Don't ask me why. Ask them. Not the lice. They can't speak English. Ask the owners. Really. Ask them. Skip the Souvlaki. I like a lot of stuff here, particularly stuff with grilled chicken breast and melted cheese, peppers and onions on top. Very homemade indeed. The unpretentious salad they give you in wooden bowls with croutons is fresh and delightful. This place is named after the infamous "Nippleless Family" which are a star Freak Show attraction at the Iron Island Carnival. Carnies may have small hands and smell like cabbage, but they USUALLY HAVE NIPPLES and believe me because I WOULD KNOW OKAY. So Buffalo does milkshakes right. This place does milkshakes right. They get a large metal tin (huge in fact), and fill it with delicious ice cream and milk. Then they blend it using a real milkshake making blender, and it takes quite awhile. If you're lucky (or, if you ask for it), they might even give you the whole metal tin, with the leftover milkshake inside it... which is basically giving you another half milkshake. This place is named after the infamous "Nipple Loose" Buffalo girls which is when you really don't wanna sleep around but your nipples keep slipping out so everyone thinks you are loose. It's not their fault!! Nobody in Buffalo sells tight-fitting bras!!! Amirite!?!?!?!!??!?? The older review is correct, you can vanish for months and they still remember you. But in my case, amazingly, they remembered me nearly a decade later. When I first lived in Buffalo in 1999-2000, I went in every few weeks, maybe 10 times tops. Ten years later, on a recording break in Buffalo I started going back in, and they not only remembered me, but treated me as if it had been only a month since they'd seen me, not a decade. It was quite delightful, and indeed I'm glad they are still there after all this time because family businesses tend to struggle over time when in competition with the big, bad chains. Heartwarming. And a lot of the same (small group of) employees too! They even remembered that I liked Milkshakes. I went in after years and didn't feel like one (I used to get them when I went in there), and they said, no milkshake today? They have those little things right, do Neapolis. Those little things keep people coming back. With so much competition for good food in WNY and all the evil chains putting the locals out of business, it only takes one bad experience to drive loyal customers elsewhere, and Neapolis take real care to make sure you never feel that way, while never being pretentious about it. It is the opposite of pretentiousness. And that's part of its charm. This place is named after the infamous "Nipple Lens" which is the type of camera adult photographers use to snap pix of their subjects' boobies. Memories for me, of this place, are vivid but distant. When I first moved to the United States, I lived across the bridge (in a pretty bad area) on Broadway & Bailey. We'd walk across the bridge over the train tracks to Neapoli's and it was a lovely walk, a little escape from our ghetto street lifestyle. Our car was broken into or stolen off the streets many times living there... we'd hear gunshots... lots of abandoned houses. Walking over the bridge to Neapolis felt like refuge and I love them for that. I was a kid back then, how quickly the years pass by. Let me clarify, Neapolis is not in a bad area... once you cross that bridge, the crime rate goes way down - and besides, it's next to the Bailey Police Station. This place is named after the infamous "Nipple Lars" which was when Metallica drummer Ulrich was found passed out with nipple clamps on in a bathtub full of aforementioned Carnies. Who all did have Nipples, btw. Everything is made right in front of you and is delicious. This place is the prototypical family restaurant and you should try it. If you don't, you're missing out. But at least you're not missing any nipples. Or maybe you are? If so please private message me sexy. Oh. Also. This place is named after the infamous "Nipple Lies" which is when you tell someone you have a third nipple just to get them to take you home, but then it turns out you don't. Never eat here...By far the worst dining experience of my life. Let me give you a play by play. First of all, my girlfriend and I walk in at 2:30 pm and sit down to prepare for what we assumed would be a wonderful dining experience. After sitting and ordering our drinks, our waitress named "Jessica" tells us that she doesn't want to rush us(but clearly she did), but that we would have to be finished by 3 because that's when they close. Excuse me? I'm bringing you my business first of all; Right then I should've prompted us to leave but I wanted to give them a chance, so we opted to order take out. We ordered a chicken dinner and a Turkey club, where I emphasized that I would like extra onions. I said that twice to our waitress Jessica to make sure she understood and she said that was fine. There was nobody in there(which now makes sense) yet it took 25 minutes to make our meals. Jessica, by the way, was completely unfriendly and didn't smile once at us, even though we were extra kind and sweet to her. Several times both my girlfriend and I were overwhelmingly offended at how she, and the other employees treated us like we were a burden, rather than paying customers. We got home starving because we had waited forever for our food, and what do you know? No onions on my Turkey club. I will never suggest to my friends, family, or anyone I know to ever step foot inside that place again. Horrendous food, even worse service (stay away from "miserable" Jessica), and just a terrible experience all across the board. I just want to mention I have worked in restaurants many years both in kitchens and on the floor serving, and I have never seen nor experienced anything like this. Did breakfast Odered a combo with pancakes sausage and toast.Let waitress know Iam a vegetarian so to eliminate meat,instead I opted to add home fries .So for a $5-6 meal I ended up paying almost $12 because I wasn't not offered the home fries as a substitute,for the bacon and toast that by the way I was never given.An order of bacon I checked cost a lot more then a side of home fries.So I don't understand why I was charged full price for the meal,and extra for home fries,instead of substituting and I still left a $2 tip.but wow $12 for breakfast.The food was good,but only 3 stars because over charging was more important then a satisfied customer.And I guess the price they paid for loosing one,it was my first and last visit . read more

Ordered out of here and it was just awful, gyro meat looked and tasted like canned dog food, the unsweetened iced tea tasted like dish water the fish fry fried shrimp and scallops were overcooked fries were under cooked and the gravy tasted like someone dropped a BM in it, ohh and they forgot an order of fries, I'm just lucky I ordered off of skipthedishes and got a credit to order something edible as feeding this to a dog would be animal abuse. read more

A basic "good food fair price" kinda place. Wife & I had breakfast there. We both had #1 breakfast: eggs,home fries,toast, and meat. Wife got Canadian Bacon : both pieces looked more like 2 small ham steaks at least 1/3" inch thick. Wait staff good. Will be back read more

We bought a groupon for this place after reading the good reviews. We went on a Saturday evening and were upset when we realized the restaurant was closed. Apparently the only night the restaurant is open is on Fridays. So we tried again and went for lunch this week. We were looking forward to the shakes based on other reviews and were very disappointed when we were told there were no shakes because the freezer was down. Our food was fine, but nothing special. The fries and onion rings were frozen and they were blah. I knew not to expect a fancy place, but this was worse than I expected. It was very dingy and all around disappointing. read more

Staying at a guest house down the block & without a car, I needed some place close by for a late breakfast. Neapolis is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it with its nondescript front on Bailey at Regent but make the effort. Great for early breakfast (they open at 6), lunch or early dinner (they close at 4). Had a tasty egg, potato, onion scramble w/perfectly toasted rye bread & great cup of soup of the day. Five stars if the coffee were a little stronger. Nevertheless, will def go back to try the souvlaki & that delish Bflo delicacy - fried bologna & onion sandwich. read more

Love this diner. it is a secret that everyone should know about. Great prices, great food and a very friendly staff. The owner is a great cook and very friendly. They make homemade milkshakes with the old time mixer. They are delicious. Do yourself a favor and take some time to sit down and have a bite to eat here.
