My husband ordered the veal parm, and while the flavor was decent, it was a bit dry and not served hot. I went to the five-star restaurant Cipresso on Friday, May 8th, that night. Cipresso is located inside the Hard Rock Guitar Place in Broward County, Florida. It was my first time going to that Hard Rock since it was renovated over the years. I was actually blown away by how different Hard Rock is, and then I came across an Italian restaurant called Cipresso. The service was professional, fast, and the staff was knowledgeable about the foods and wines. The ambiance was nice. I loved how you could see the kitchen staff cooking, the lights were dimmed, yet the dim lights were just right. The server was a young man who was local to the Miramar area; he was so nice, friendly, and very helpful on the menu. I ordered Bolognese, and it was so delicious. I remember asking the server for sour cream, but the restaurant didn't have any. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Cipresso, and I will come back to try something else. First, making a reservation through Cipresso's direct website link (not OpenTable or Resy) was seamless and easy, a great first impression. When we arrived, the hostess graciously seated us at a 4-top even though we were a party of two. We don't love feeling confined at a small table, so that simple accommodation immediately set the tone for the evening. Noting it was my birthday, they had a card for me signed by the staff. Service throughout the night was really great. There were multiple team members on the floor ensuring water glasses were refilled, bread was replenished, and that we never needed to ask for anything. The service felt polished and coordinated, attentive, not hovering. Our server, Denise, was outstanding. Friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu, she also had a great balance of giving us attention without being intrusive. She helped elevate the entire experience. A wonderful surprise was running into Mike and Titus, former managers from another restaurant we've frequented many times. They were both incredibly kind and gracious, stopping by for conversations and ensuring we were comfortable. They understand that dining is about more than just great food; it's about personalized service that makes you feel valued. That kind of hospitality can often outshine even the best meal. Speaking of the meal, it was fantastic. We started with the Formaggi cheese plate (they offer 3, 5, or 7 selections). It came with toasted bread, breadsticks, and an olive-raisin chutney that was sweet and savory, and paired well with the ricotta spread on warm bread. Next, we shared the thin-crust Wild Mushroom pizza, which was topped with fontina, roasted garlic, herbs, truffle oil, and a blend of mushrooms. It was outstanding. Light, flavorful, and perfectly crisp (no red sauce). We were already pretty full, but decided to power through and share a Caesar salad!! And I'm so glad we did. It was enormous and delicious. Important for me, it was not anchovy-forward. Mike offered a small taste of the dressing before we ordered to ensure it wasn't too fish-flavored. That small gesture was meaningful and speaks about the level of care here. We had concert tickets and had to sprint out at 7:50 for an 8:00 show; otherwise, we would have stayed for dessert and coffee. We made reservations at Cipresso for our anniversary (though we brought along our 3-year-old because we also wanted to take her to the Hard Rock the Holidays light show). We had a great time! The food was great, the ambiance was sophisticated but fun, and the service was great. We were seated right when we arrived for our reservation. The host staff was exceptionally friendly with my 3-year-old, commenting on her cute outfit and giving her her own menu when she seemed a little disappointed that we'd only been given two initially. My husband and I had the white sangria which was refreshing, and they did not skimp on the alcohol! My child had apple juice. We were given a bread basket that also had thin breadsticks (a hit with our child!) We then started with the Antipasti Misti. We chose three, and you can choose from both Salumi or Formaggi. We went with the Prosciutto di Parma, Tartufo Salmi, and Tartufo (truffle cheese). It came with bread and breadsticks as well. Each of these was delicious. The Tartufo cheese, especially was one I hadn't had before and it was amazing. The salami also had a great flavor, and my child enjoyed this one a lot. We also ordered the Burrata from the Insulate section. This was to die for. The cheese was delicious, but I loved the addition of the tomatoes and fruit with the sauce. My husband isn't fond of sweet things with cheese, but if you like it then this is a must. For our meals, I ordered the Linguine Vongole, my husband ordered the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli, and for our child we ordered the Nonna's Meatballs from the Antipasti Caldi section. She loved them (and I tried them later and agreed!) The linguine had so much flavor in it, and my husband enjoyed his ravioli as well. This was my first time here, and it was nothing short of amazing. The bread came out warm from the oven, and the butter was super soft with a little garlic at the bottom--so good. I came with a good friend here to kick off birthday festivities and before catching a comedy show. It's located inside the famous Guitar Tower, its dim lights and background downtempo music is perfect for nice date night out. There's a beautiful & well stocked wine cellar at the entrance by the hostess stand, from which my friend enjoyed her usual pinot grigio and myself my glass of perfectly dark red, and dry (but not overwhelmingly so) glass of chianti. We were in a little bit of a time crunch for the comedy show but seeing some of the other dishes made us want to come back for more. Last night, we enjoyed their 7-piece charcuterie tray (they have a nice variety of meats and cheese cuts to try and have options for a 3- or 5- piece plate). My favorites were the mozzarella and sweet gorgonzola, as well as their prosciutto. By the way, the bread was just as good and freshly made. Our main course was their perfect thin-crust meatball pizza with creamy ricotta & a robust tomato sauce. The highlight was the birthday cake. Our waitress and a couple of other servers sang her "Happy Birthday" and brought her a card along with a foodgasmic Chocolate Dome. This is a crispy ball of chocolate filled with ice cream, and what tasted like a variety of chocolate infill (dark chocolate, white chocolate and more) sitting on a fruit / berry base. The bartender brought me some homemade bread and breadsticks with a whipped truffle butter, which was really good .The caesar salad was bright and light with crumbled croutons.The dressing, however was lacking flavor. The sauce was very marsala forward which overpowered the whole dish but still was enjoyable.It can get quite loud too being that its an open floor plan right next to the casino. We really loved our time at this restaurant. What was so amazing to watch really was the staff and how they all work in unison to make sure every guest is given the best dining experience possible. Not one server or employee here is about the "me". And it truly comes through to create such a pleasant experience. We had the lobster pizza. It was really great. We forgot to take pictures of the broccolini and the linguini with clams. It was a smaller portion than we anticipated with linguine but I think this is a more à la carte restaurant. But, with that being said, we enjoyed it. We didn't opt for dessert but because they knew it was my birthday they brought out a little plate with 4 small treats. It was so sweet that they did that. We've passed by Cipresso several times while at The Hard Rock and always said "we should try it soon". So this past Friday, we met our friends there for dinner. Our table for 6 was ready right away, our server had water and a bread basket for us, almost immediately, and brought us drinks while we waited for our entire party to arrive. Once everyone was at the table, and everyone had drinks, he went over the specials with us. We ordered appetizers to share, and 2 bottles of wine. He opened one at a time and served us every time he saw any of our glasses empty or low. The octopus and meatball appetizers are very well worth mentioning. Delicious, fresh, and great to share. My gnocchi was perfectly cooked, and I was able to add protein to it. I chose shrimp and they even asked how many I wanted. It was enough for me to have leftovers for lunch. The Short rib with white ragu pasta that my friend ordered was delicious, and the Royal Scampi was on point too. Honestly everyone was VERY happy with their dishes and saying "you need to try this". For dessert we had their chocolate dome, which is a fun nice presentation, and the hazelnut gelato is great, but the winner was the mascarpone cheesecake. Absolutely amazing! We all agreed. We ordered so many things (caprese, gnocchi, wild mushroom pizza, and a hard chocolate shell dessert) and literally every item tasted incredible. Obvs a great experience being smack in the middle of the Hard Rock casino - brought my senior Italian mama who was visiting from out of town along with three young kids. We were treated like royalty by our amazing server Paul! Management was also great at touching the table - very accommodating. We ordered for appetizers, grilled octopus and calamari fritti. The grilled octopus was absolutely delicious. I wish I ordered two of this water. The calamari was just OK. It came out very crunchy not like traditional calamari that I've eaten in my life. I asked Dayton what was different and he said that they make a corn and potato mixture and it's more crunchy. It was just OK I would order two of the octopus next time.. I ordered for dinner the seafood cioppino it came with two shrimp, two muscles, two clams and a piece of Bronzino with three baguettes.. I was on a date & felt embarrassed with how rushed we were. Before we paid the check, our table was cleared without even asking us. The dessert menu was practically shoved in our face. I was expecting the waiter to just straight up ask us to leave. When you see someone on a date AND the restaurant isn't full, relax! A lot of crying screaming kids. There aren't any private booths. Overall, I wouldn't come back here. Has the ambiance of a Chuck E Cheese. Pony up & go to council oak instead. We're here for the Hans Zimmer Concert & when we walked by this was very inviting. So hey it's dinner time baby. First off it doesn't open until 5 & we literally stood around for 2 hrs but we were able to get a table right out of the gate. 1st ones in & u should know it's very dark but u get used to it I guess. There are quite a few severs & it seemed like quite a few managers but what they all did I have no idea. We never did have one stop by to say hello. The food we ordered was outstanding. My wife had the spinach lasagna & I had the chicken Marsala. Both were Amazing. The attention to detail on the presentation was on point & flavors were Outstanding. This for sure is a must stop if you're looking for a place to have dinner. They have one of the most extensive wine lists I've seen in a long time as well. It is pricy but well worth it. Our last visit we also got lucky and sat at their high tops and didn't have to wait. Yes, reservations are recommended, but so far we have gotten lucky! Both visits I ordered the ravioli which was heaven! Perfect portion (for me at least) - and I cleaned the plate. The pasta was very fresh- filled with ricotta and shrimp. I got this both times because it was so good and didn't want to try anything else ! My husband ordered the chicken Marsala, which was also very tasty. The pizzas look good- but we haven't had a chance to try them yet. I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for somewhere to eat inside the hard rock. Probably the best option to dine in if you are staying at the Seminole Hard Rock. First off, the service is exceptional. The staff is super friendly and fast. They are also very attentive offering to refill drinks and refill bread basket. The menu is also pretty impressive offering a ton of Italian favorites. We went with the Lasagna Verde which might be the best lasagna I've ever had. It was well balanced between noodles, sauce, and meat and came in a very generous portion. The steak was cooked well but lacked seasoning. It could have definitely benefited from a dry rub or a smoky flavor. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and part of the experience is watching the chefs prepare your meal. Great service and personal attention by Antonio and Michael. They both went out of their way to accommodate our party of 4 dining out after some casino and rooftop pool party activity. After getting a bad case of hiccups and requesting peanut butter to eat to take away the hiccups, Michael went off site to the convenience store to bring me little tubs of peanut butter which took away my hiccups instantly. Above and beyond great customer service! Food and drinks were great. Service was attentive and not too overwhelming. Antonio was accommodating on our reservation time and able to push it back awhile to allow us to enjoy the premises of the casino.
