Review of Salumeria 104 - Weston, FL I had high hopes for Salumeria 101, especially on a special occasion like Mother's Day, but the experience ended up being far too inconsistent to recommend. Reservation & Check‑In We arrived at 2:15 PM for a 2:30 PM reservation made earlier that morning at 11:30 AM via OpenTable, which was also confirmed in the app. Despite this, both the receptionist and the manager (short, bald, with a beard) seemed confused and unprepared. The manager struggled to accept that a reservation could exist simply because it wasn't on the hard‑copy printout he had made earlier in the day. It created an awkward and unnecessary delay, and it didn't inspire confidence in how the restaurant manages its bookings and how management values guest experience. Service Service throughout the meal was extremely slow. While it was Mother's Day, the restaurant wasn't at full capacity, and the pace didn't match the level of busyness. It felt more like a coordination issue than a volume issue. Food A true mixed experience--half the dishes were great, half were disappointing. Highlights * Arancini - Crispy, flavorful, and well‑executed. * Calamari & Shrimp - Tender, lightly fried, and delicious. * Cacio e Pepe - Nicely balanced and enjoyable + great table side presentation in a cheese wheel. * Penne à la Vodka - Creamy and well‑prepared. * Tiramisu - Outstanding. Easily the best part of the meal and absolutely worth ordering. Misses * Lasagna - Extremely dry and lacking proper saucing. * Caesar Salad - Also dry and under‑dressed. Both dishes felt neglected and didn't meet even basic expectations for Italian staples. Overall With slow service, reservation confusion, and half the dishes falling short, Salumeria 101 didn't deliver the level of quality you'd expect--especially on a holiday. While some items were genuinely excellent, the inconsistency makes it hard to justify a return visit. Weston has more reliable Italian options--Tarantella's, for example, consistently delivers better food and smoother service. Verdict: Pass. read more

Everything was great from the atmosphere, to the food and service. We went at 6pm on father's day. You wouldn't have known it was a holiday, as service and quality were spot on. They have happy hour 4-7 daily with a $4 Aperol spritz that I most definitely took advantage of. It was yummy. We also got the squash blossoms off the happy hour menu. Both pasta dishes that we got were very flavorful. I also tried their signature espresso martini. It wasn't on happy hour but it was worth it. Traditional Italian restaurant with a strong emphasis on kiln fired pizza. The ambiance was relaxed with a decent sized dining area. The pizza boxes hovered high above the counter partially blocking the flaming pizza kiln in the center of a stone wall. It's a shame since it was an incredible attraction. Toward the rear of the restaurant was a large glass wall full of wines. Sat at the bar and ordered an espresso of Kimbo coffee at $3.75, which originated in the 1950's in Naples, Italy. It had a nice scent with a full-bodied taste and the side biscotti cookie was a nice touch. The bathroom was clean with simple modern decor. Going to return and try the hand tossed pizza. read more

As soon as you walk in you are warmly welcomed by the decor. The wood tables remind me of the Italian countryside where you'd enjoy dinner outside. The bar is inviting and the bar is pretty large. Seeing the pizza oven burning just wets your appetite- i felt the pizza boxes blocked the flaming pizza oven as the whole stone wall was such an attractive look but the pizza boxes stacked cheapened that since, it did block the ambience of an entire stone wall. We will go back to try the pizza. Service is attentive and professional. We went for lunch the Wine list is very good, the burrata appetizer on a fried green tomato, we thoroughly enjoyed this. I wish I took a photo before we cut into it. We had the FETTUCCINE NERE $26 Black ink fettuccine, wild-caught shrimp, garlic, Calabrian chili oil, tomato sauce Homemade ink fettuccine , with a fabulous sauce that complimented the ink fettuccine and didn't overpower the dish, it was fabulous. The 6 shrimp on top had delicious flavor. My Husband ordered FETTUCCINE AL LIMONE $29 Fettuccine, seared scallops, lemon butter sauce, topped with pistachio. This was very tasty -NOTE- the menu never specified that they were tiny scallops barely noticeable that dish was a dealbreaker. - NOTE- when seared scallops are mentioned on the menu you expect to see a good size scallop with a nice caramelized sear. There wasn't transparency on the description (seared scallops) when you read seared scallops you expect to see them. ( See photo below ) . This dish should have Sea Scallops for sure. And that needs to change. But delicious flavor just the same. $29 (please make this dish with sea scallops) Salumeria 104 is the real deal! We will go back. 4 stars on no note or transparency on scallops size. Went back for the SALMONE CA D'ORO Saffron prosecco wine sauce, served with baby artichokes $34 the salmon wine sauce was a bit thick and lacked flavor. The salmon I asked for medium and it was a bit overdone no glisten as salmon doesn't need to cook all the way through. The Grilled artichokes we amazing. I hope they go on the appetizer menu they are that good. My husband enjoyed the chicken parm but I didn't taste it. read more

I've been here so many times. And have always had a great experience. But tonight I have been shocked. Mauro the new manager was so rude. We waited for a long time for our server so I went up and asked for a happy hour menu. He refused to give it to me and told me I had to wait for my server. Then when I asked for a slight modification to the happy hour drink I have had so many times the manager refused. I hope this isn't a sign that things are declining here permanently. read more

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and it definitely won't be my last. The food was so fresh and delicious, the service was great, and the restaurant is gorgeous, also they have a full bar. The watermelon martini was great and highly recommended; it is fresh and not too sweet with fresh watermelon. The prosciutto and mortadella was perfectly sliced and full of flavor. The burratina was great the green tomato was fried to perfection the only thing I wish it had was a little bit more of the balsamic. We also ordered pasta and added black truffle which is shaved table side and was awesome. I can't wait to go back. read more

Visited for dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious. The area we were seated in was much quieter than the main dining room and I really liked it. Now for the food :).... We ordered the Trio di Prosciutti to start as well as something that I've never seen outside of Piemonte Italy - Vitello Tonnato. The prosciutto trio was sliced perfectly thin and melted in the mouth. Vitello Tonnato is a slice of veal with a sauce made of tuna. I know I know - you're thinking um that's weird but trust me it's delicious. Whenever I visit my Nonna in Italy this is always one of my requests and Salumeria 104 got it very right. Now For the main course and I had prosciutto e funghi pizza and it was delicious - just the right amount of sauce, perfectly thin and crispy and the flavor was delicious. My Mom ordered the branzino and she said it was delicious. My sister also had a fish dish which she described as cooked to perfection - I didn't get a picture because she started eating before I could. Service was also on point. I am so happy to have found an authentic Italian restaurant nearby and I can't wait to go back and try something else. After eating here for myself some of the 1 star comments really confused me. I will say if your idea of good authentic Italian food is Olive Garden then this is not the place for you. read more

Last night we tried again what was a favorite of our restaurant before the ownership change. After our previous visit and comment I was relentless on returning. but on my last review our server was terrible and veal was awful! Never have I had such a terrible quality of veal the worse I ever have had. Las night made up completely for the terrible experience we had beforehand. Our server was the best ever by the Spresa what delight courteous, detailed and attentive. Our drinks perfect wine selection and full bar service exceptional as usual. Our appetizers usually all are good but for the first time I've enjoyed the Oyster Rockefeller delicious a blend of spinach and Parnassian cooked perfectly. Our entrees were two of the special of this evening I can not stop bragging how delicious this was! If you're anywhere near Weston, this place is an absolute must-stop. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming--the kind of hospitality that instantly sets the tone for a great meal. And the food delivered on every level. We started with the pizza, and it was exactly what you hope for: fresh, well-proofed dough with zero flop, a perfectly crisp bite, and that spot-on sauce-to-cheese ratio that's harder to find than it should be. Balanced, flavorful, and just plain satisfying. But the real star of the afternoon was the Spaghetti Carbonara. Instead of bacon, they use prosciutto, and it takes the dish to another level--deeper flavor, a cleaner richness, and an overall more elevated bite. The sauce was silky and indulgent, but never heavy or overwhelming. Every forkful felt like the perfect mix of comfort and "wow." We were recommended by good friends who are Italian and they were really spot on. Super authentic, service is excellent, great, slightly upscale, yet very homey Italian vibe. Our server, Nikolai could not have been more accommodating. Everything was excellent; very fresh, great flavors, but the standout was definitely the appetizer. Very thinly sliced pork with a tuna sauce: So wrong and yet so right. Great happy hour, which was totally unexpected served at the dinner table. Look forward to returning. read more

I made a reservation for Valentine's Day since the price fix menu looked like it was reasonable. We were sat in the back part of the restaurant which started off the night on a bad note. There was a table of kids behind us and you would have thought that their parents hadn't fed them in weeks. I'm all about bringing kids to dinner and having them experience new things. But not on Valentine's Day! I know I can't fault the restaurant for this; however, they should have sat this party by themselves away from the guests who were trying to have a nice night out. The server was nice although he was very overwhelmed. I don't think that this place was ready for the amount of people that made were there. I had to send back my fish because it was cooked in butter. Also, the fish was very mediocre. It wasn't spiced well and was somewhat bland. The portions were on the small side although I expected this with a price fix menu. We took the triamisu to go because we just wanted to get out of there. The whole atmosphere was not romantic and that was disappointing. If you are going to advertise a price fix menu for Valentine's Day, try to make sure that you set up a Valentine's Day appropriate atmosphere. I just wanted to spend a nice night out with my wife and it didn't happen. I can't see myself going back here because of this disaster. I'll spend my money somewhere else. read more

My wife and I along with another couple were seated by the servers station on Wednesday evening when several glasses fell and broke sending glass flying. I was wearing shorts and was struck by several pieces of glass. NO INJURIES !! While glass was being cleaned up from under and around our table and chairs, you would think the manager would come over and check us to see if we were alright,NEVER HAPPENED I ordered a gluten free pizza, it came out with the crust cold, under cooked and with the cheese not melted! I sent it back, you think the manager would come over and find out why food was being sent back,NEVER HAPPENED. WE ORDERED 4 cappuccinos,they came out two cold,2 hot when we left the manager held the door open for us, handed me a pizza in a box and asked that we give the resturant another chance!!! This place used to be great. Last night I had dinner with my wife. The dish with black truffle was tasteless, my wife's dish was fettuccine fruti di mare and the seafood wasn't fresh. I had some of the mussels from her dish last night and have been with diarrhea today. It is a shame that one of my favorite places to dine in Weston has gone down in quality like this. I've had mixed experiences in my 2 visits since the restaurant changed ownership. Our first visit, the service was lacking and they were understaffed . The desert we ordered (the chocolate log) was dry and unusual. However, my husband ordered the halibut and it was delicious and gigantic. On our second visit the service was much better. I ordered a pasta dish (shrimp diavolo with squid ink pasta) and the flavor was great but it was a little oily. The wine selection is excellent and so are the espresso martinis. read more
