Warning: This company does not stand behind their warranty…read more One of the reasons that we decided to go with Solar Source was their 10 year warranty that was promised with their system. $25,000 is a big investment and we knew that we didn't want to have to shell out more money if one of the pieces of equipment failed, as I had heard was a problem from other solar customers. We've had our solar system for about 6 years now and have been generally happy up until a few months ago when, of course, one of the pieces of electronic equipment failed. We contacted Solar Source and they sent out a technician who checked our Envoy computer and deemed it defective. He then explained that this particular unit has been problematic and that the component was only warrantied by the manufacturer for 5 years. In the end, Solar Source required us to spend an additional $650 on the new equipment and an additional $250 to install. When the new component arrived at our house I called them to schedule the installation and was told that they would call me back to schedule. They never called me back. I ended up installing it myself, which consisted of screwing in four wires and calling the manufacturer to get it activated so at least didn't need to pay them for the installation. All in all not a great experience with a company that I initially chose because of their warranty.

They were always available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with our electricians whenever something came up. Because they knew our system inside and out, they were able to jump in quickly and help keep the project on track. Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later. At our own expense by the way". I proceed to send him the paid invoice showing the CORRECT amount that was entered and told him his office employee called and confirmed I entered the correct amount. Bizarre customer service for a company who has texted me multiple times during the process to review them. Well here you go! Still, have not received money back, it's now Tuesday evening, and I have been dealing with the "owner" Dan all day. Thanks Dan, I'm SO grateful that you are coving your bank's wire fee for your company's error. Are you going to cover my wire fee as well? Or how about my late fees since you drained by account? Apparently Dan has tried to wire the amount back twice today, once saying his bank flagged it as fraud and got rejected, then the other time saying he resent it. We will see. Still no money back. I'm surprised he didn't try to blame me again. On another note, wasn't going to review this until my intelligence was insulted, because accidents happen, and I know how much businesses are hurt by bad reviews, but my husband found razor blades (multiple) and cut up wire after the install in our yard. Luckily he found it before our dog or our toddler! I'm not really sure how a solar company should be, but customer service in this day really can make or break you. Tenco got back to me and said they could fit me in the next day! Of course i jumped on the offer. Less than 24 hours from informing me they could do the repair, I'm writing this review with a big smile. No only did they repair the pipe, they took time to paint the pvc to match the roof and the stucco. There was also some stucco paint damage from the ladder they touched up. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. We've been using Econo Air for several years now. We had a new HVAC system installed 4 years ago…read moreand are on their maintenance plan. It's a family-run business and owner Mike is an engineer -- he's extremely knowledgeable and was able to solve long-standing issues we had for years with the previous company and system (rooms that never seemed to heat or cool; incorrectly sized unit and returns; etc etc). In fact, our old system was such a tangled mess and hard for maintenance techs to get at: Econo Air installed the new system in a sensible way that makes it easy for their techs to reach and work on if necessary. The system performance is amazing now: it's one of those things where we had to kick ourselves for not getting the problems solved years ago. All in all very pleased with their service and fully trust their judgment. Our 30 year old blown-in attic insulation had become less effective with age, so we had them remove it, sanitize the attic and blow in fresh insulation. We discovered a minor issue after the work was done but they came right back out the next day and made it right. They are also up to date on various tax rebate incentives and provide the necessary certificates to make it easy for you to get your rebate at tax time. We see that there are some negative reviews here, but that hasn't been our experience: all in all our highest recommendation.

Our AC stopped working, so we contacted Econo Air to come out and diagnose the issue. After…read moreinspecting the unit, they informed us that the Lennox control board on the AC side was broken and that they only use their proprietary controller, which would cost $7,000 installed. It took over a week to receive this diagnosis, and we had to follow up multiple times to get an answer. During the technician's visit, he called his manager/senior technician while on speakerphone, as he was unsure of the issue. The manager, seemingly unaware he was on speaker, stated that he could not say for certain, but due to the lack of power on the AC side of the board, it most likely needed a new board. The junior technician advised that a manager and warranty technician would follow up the next day, but we never received a response. We decided to contact another company for a second opinion. Their technician quickly identified the issue as a tripped low voltage breaker at the furnace. He reset the breaker, found no other faults, and resolved the issue in less than 10 minutes. We were only charged a standard service call fee. We originally purchased this unit from Costco and chose Econo Air as they are their contracted service provider, trusting that Costco had properly vetted them. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and concerning. We hope management takes note of this and makes the necessary changes, as this level of service and transparency is unacceptable.
