Had solar paneling installed while a new roof was put in. Kory and his team made this happen seamlessly. Very happy with the work.

Absolutely First-Rate from Start to Finish When the fires…read morehit Southern California and we lost power for two weeks, something changed for me. I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

Overall the team all seem to be doing their job and the execution is quick but the lack of customer communication is not up to par for a 50k project. It felt like I was the project manager all the time, following up on schedule, and then calling to verify. I had a feeling that the teams are split and everyone only does their job based on a scope and not as a team. Sometimes, I just want the truth on timing.... Bc Everytime I get a timing commitment, it's delayed and or no show and then also no updates. The project is still on-going with skirting, commissioning wasn't even done , painting of pipes/conduits... so will update accordingly. 8/6/26 : the team swiftly came the next day and finished painting and commissioning so I will add a star. 8/12/26: Just had a constructive discussion with Dayne and Savannah -- overall very positive. While my earlier frustrations were real, the conversation helped me better understand the complexities of the contractor side of the business. I also came away feeling that OC Solar genuinely puts care and attention into each project. The project isn't fully complete yet (inspections, skirting, and a few other items remain), but the overall execution moved at lightning speed and exceeded my own expectations. At the end of the day, it's the final result that counts so I will increase it to 5 stars.

After all the research I chose Aikyum for the job. I had my system installed 12/2024 and it has been working great. The estimate was detailed and easy to understand, and they took the time to answer my questions without rushing me or trying to upsell anything. What stood out most was their communication. They consistently called before arriving, showed up exactly when they said they would, and kept me informed every step of the way. That alone set them apart. It's rare these days to work with a company that actually does what they say they're going to do. The installation went smoothly and efficiently, and everything looks clean and professionally done. Pricing was excellent, especially compared to another solar company I had previously dealt with, and the overall experience was noticeably better. If you're looking for a solar company that is responsive, organized, and genuinely professional, I would absolutely recommend Aikyum Solar. It was a very positive experience from start to finish.

Special thanks go to Pablo our project foreman, Ethan, and the entire crew for their professionalism and doing such a beautiful, quality job. Pablo was very attentive, he listened to all our concerns and was always respectful and considerate of our needs. He took the time to explain the problem areas as we had a lot of damaged wood, took pictures for me and went through repair options, always being fair and honest. He clearly takes pride in his work and works hard to ensure the best results for his customers. They were always on time, cleaned up thoroughly after each workday and completed the project in 5 days. After the project was completed we had minor concerns in the following days and the team took care of these promptly. We highly recommend them you will not regret it.

I was provided with a non English speaking crew, which made it hard to communicate important details. Because of this, I was never informed that my previously installed EV charger would create a solar permit issue. That oversight ended up costing me an additional $2,000. For a company charging at the higher end, I expected clear communication and a thorough review of existing electrical work. Instead, I was left paying for issues that should have been identified upfront. My advice to future customers: - Make sure they thoroughly review all prior electrical work done in your home. - Ask specifically about permit implications before signing. - Get clear confirmation on who will be onsite and whether they can communicate effectively with you. - Do not assume they will proactively flag electrical conflicts, you may be asked to pay for corrections later. The company is on the expensive side, and I accepted that cost in exchange for what I believed would be a smooth, well-communicated experience. Unfortunately, the communication breakdown and unexpected added costs did not justify the premium pricing. Proceed carefully and ask very detailed questions before committing.

A Masterclass in Incompetence -- Avoid Sunrun at All Costs…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Sunrun has been a nightmare from start to finish -- and it's still not over, nearly nine months later. After signing up and having the panels physically installed, I expected the project to move forward. Instead, I've been stuck in an endless cycle of delays, excuses, and mismanagement. Multiple city inspections were failed due to basic, avoidable errors, and despite repeated outreach, I was met with little to no communication from the project manager, Amanda Gonzalez, or the broader Sunrun team. The final blow came when Edison finally arrived to install the meter -- only to walk away because Sunrun used the wrong conduit. They used liquid conduit instead of the required rigid conduit, which any experienced installer should know is a basic code requirement. Because of this egregious mistake, The timeline to fix it and reschedule inspections could take another 3 to 6 months. That will make this project stretch into well over a year and a half -- and I've already started making loan payments for a system that still isn't active. This isn't just a frustrating customer experience -- it's gross negligence. The lack of quality control, project oversight, and accountability is unacceptable for any company, especially one claiming to be a leader in solar. Do yourself a favor: avoid Sunrun at all costs. There are other solar providers who actually know how to get a system online without trapping you in a yearlong purgatory.

They didn't talk about the overall charges and interest rate, they just kept pushing the monthly payment that "would stay the same" even though power costs would go up. My other bad experience is that they put up solar panels in an area that is partially shaded. I wrote a complaint and was told that maybe they could help me with some of the cost to cut down trees. I paid $700 to get the first area cleared. My big tree, which I didn't really want cut down was going to cost $2300. When I sent them my cost and the estimate, I heard nothing back from the company. I can only assume the talk of assisting in tree cutting costs was more "hot air". I'm sure there are more reputable companies that work better with their customers and won't install solar panels in shaded areas.

Answer: "As soon as I get back to the office, I will print it and get it to you." Before they left, I asked again and was told it would be printed out and mailed to me. I've never heard of such a business practice. What I have received (email) is their "LIMITED WARRANTIES", the "Customer Arbitration Agreement", and their "Electronic Signature Policy". However, they have not provided a copy of the Contract Agreement that I actually signed electronically. I have no intention of letting them do any work on my property. Check some of the other reviews on YELP. Most of them are expressing similar concerns.
