He also ordered the QUESA BIRRIA. pulled pork, gruyere, queso listo, pickled red onion, micro cilantro, griddled corn tortilla, birria consomé for dipping. He said it was good but lacked flavor. My only negative, and I don't want to necessarily blame the staff as it is the owner's duty to hire enough staff to care for the place. But the floors had little pieces of food spilled everywhere and the tables were sticky. Same with the soda and condiments area. It needs a good cleaning through day. She then rolls her eyes once more and starts laughing with the cooks in the back, I tap politely again and point to my food sitting on the counter next to her, and hold up my card to let her know I'm just needing to pay. She ignores me once more and returns to giggling with the cooks. By then I'm very upset and the girl hormones are getting to me, so I return to my boyfriend's truck with teary eyes and explain what happened. I ask him if he can give it a try, and as soon as he approaches the door he is let in and able to grab our food. Usually this wouldn't phase me but I feel this may have a slight tinge of racism attached. I myself and am a light-skinned black female, whereas my boyfriend is a white male. We both were very polite and both got very different reactions. I love Los Favoritos so much, and the food is always amazing quality! However this is the only one in phoenix, so it makes me sad that this is how I was treated.
